Forward Collision Warning
Sensitivity — If Equipped Near
Far
NOTE:
The FCW Sensitivity feature provides an audible and/or visual warning to potential forward collisions. The feature can be can be set to “Far”, or set
to “Near”. The default status of FCW Sensitivity is the “Far” setting. This means the system will warn you of a possible collision with the vehicle in front
of you when you are farther away. This gives you the most reaction time. To change the setting for more dynamic driving, select the “Near” setting.
This warns you of a possible collision when you are much closer to the vehicle in front of you. Forward Collision Warning Active Braking — If Equipped On

NOTE:
The FCW system includes Advanced Brake Assist (ABA). When this feature is selected, the ABA applies additional brake pressure when the driver
requests insufficient brake pressure to avoid a potential frontal collision. The ABA system becomes active at 5 mph (8 km/h). To make your selection,
press the Forward Collision Warning Active Braking button on the touchscreen, until a check mark appears next to setting, indicating that the setting
had been selected. LaneSense Warning — If Equipped EarlyMedium Late
NOTE:
When the “LaneSense Warning” feature is selected, it sets the distance at which the steering wheel will provide feedback for potential lane depar -
tures.
LaneSense Strength — If Equipped LowMedium High

When the “LaneSense Strength” feature is selected, it sets the strength of the steering wheel feedback for potential lane departures.

ParkSense — If Equipped Sound Only Sound & Display
NOTE:
The ParkSense system will scan for objects behind the vehicle when the gear selector is in REVERSE and the vehicle speed is less than 11 mph
(18 km/h). It will provide an alert (audible and/or visual) to indicate the proximity to other objects. The system can be enabled with “Sound Only” or
“Sound & Display”. To change the ParkSense status, press and release the Sound Only or Sound & Display option. Front ParkSense Volume LowMedium High
NOTE:
The Front ParkSense Volume settings can be selected from the Uconnect System. The chime volume settings include “Low”, “Medium”, and “High”.

Start using Uconnect Voice Recognition with
these helpful quick tips. It provides the key
Voice Commands and tips you need to know to
control your Uconnect system.
NOTE:
If you see the NAV icon on the bottom bar, or in
the Apps menus, of your touchscreen, you have
the Uconnect 4C NAV system. If not, you have a
Uconnect 4C system.
GET STARTED
All you need to control your Uconnect system
with your voice are the buttons on your steering
wheel.
Helpful hints for using Voice Recognition:
Visit UconnectPhone.com to check mobile
device and feature compatibility and to find
phone pairing instructions.
Reduce background noise. Wind and
passenger conversations are examples of
noise that may impact recognition.
Speak clearly at a normal pace and volume
while facing straight ahead. The microphone
is positioned on the rearview mirror and
aimed at the driver.
Each time you give a Voice Command, you
must first push either the Voice Recognition
(VR) or Phone button, wait until after the
beep, then say your Voice Command.

of the following commands and follow the
prompts to switch your media source or choose
an artist.

TIP:
Press the Browse button on the touchscreen to
see all of the music on your USB device. Your

PHONE
Making and answering hands-free phone calls
is easy with Uconnect. When the Phonebook
button is illuminated on your touchscreen, your system is ready. Check UconnectPhone.com for
mobile phone compatibility and pairing
instructions.
Push the Phone button . After the beep, say
one of the following commands:
“ Call John Smith”
“Dial 123-456-7890 and follow the system
prompts”
“ Redial (call previous outgoing phone
number)”

TIP:
When providing a Voice Command, push the
Phone button and say “ Call”, then
pronounce the name exactly as it appears in
your phone book. When a contact has multiple

Uconnect announces incoming text messages.
Push the Phone button and say “ Listen.”
(Must have compatible mobile phone paired to
Uconnect system.)
1. Once an incoming text message is read to
you, push the Phone button

2. Listen to the Uconnect prompts. After the beep, repeat one of the pre-defined

APPLE CARPLAY® — IF EQUIPPED
NOTE:
Feature availability depends on your carrier and
mobile phone manufacturer. Some Apple
CarPlay® features may or may not be available
in every region and/or language.
Apple CarPlay® allows you to use your voice to
interact with Siri through your vehicle’s voice
recognition system, and use your smartphone
to project your iPhone® and many of its apps
onto your Uconnect touchscreen (smartphone’s
data plan will be used for certain apps). Connect
your iPhone® 5 or higher to one of the media
USB ports, using the Apple® factory-provided
Lightning cable, and press the new Apple
CarPlay® icon that replaces your Phone icon on
the main menu bar to begin Apple CarPlay®.
Push and hold the VR button on the steering
wheel, or press and hold the Home button
within Apple CarPlay®, to activate Siri, which
recognizes natural voice commands to use
certain iPhone’s® features such as:
