General
information With
a
displacement

liters,
the
V8
high-performance
engine
generates
a
maximum

With
its
spontaneous
re#j
sponse
behavior,
a
speed
range
of
wide
utility

sults.
The
maximum
engine
speed
is
7,200
rpm
and
is
electronically
controlled.
Because
of
the high
engine
dynamics,
the
maximum
engine
speed
with
the
vehicle
stationary
is
reduced.
Warm-up
During
the
engine
warm-up
phase,
the
high-per#j formance
engine
has
a
somewhat
rougher

ning
behavior
because
of
the
emission
controls.
When
the
engine
is
cold,
the

system

undertone
due
to

information
The
high-performance
braking
system
has

noise

occur
after

functional
noises
have
no
effect
on
the

formance,
operational
reliability,
and
durability
of the
brake.
Correct
braking
To
prevent
functional
noises,
it
is
expedient
to
apply
the
brakes
hard
a
few
times
in
regular
in#j
tervals.
Ensure
that
the
traffic
situation
permits the
brake
operations.
With
moisture
on
the
brake
discs,
the
brake
sys#j
tem
may
be
operated
dry
to
prevent
noise.
M
carbon
ceramic
brake
General
information The
high-performance
braking
system
has
per#j
forated
carbon
ceramic
brake
discs.
Due
to
properties
of
the
materials
used,
braking
may
be
associated
with
louder
function
noises,
e.g.,
in
the
event
of
an
extended
minor
brake
load
or
in
wet
conditions,
just
before
the

stop.
The
functional
noises
have

effect
on

The
effects

salt

formation
