Switching

drive-ready
state

emergency
detection

the
BMW
display
key
It
is
not
possible
to
switch
on
the
drive-ready
state
if
the
display
key
has
not
been
detected.
Proceed
as
follows
in
this
case:
1.Hold
the
display
key
with
its
back
against
themarked
area
on
the
steering
column.
Pay

to
the
display
in
the
instrument

the
display
key
is
detected:
Switch
on
drive-ready
state
within

onds.
If

display
key
is
not
detected,
slightly
change
the
position
of

display
key
and
repeat
the
procedure.
Resetting
the
BMW
display
key
If
the
charged
display
key
cannot
be
switched
on anymore
or
if
the
display
does
not
respond
toentries
anymore,
the
display
key
can
be
reset.

the

same
time

least
10
seconds until
the
display
is
switched
off
and
then

General

The
driver's
door
can
be
locked
and
unlocked
without
the
vehicle
key
using

integrated
key.
The
integrated
key

fits

glove
compartjment.

possible
with
special
knowledge.

The
trunk
lid

be
opened

closed
with
no- touch
activation
using
the
vehicle
key
you

carrying.
Two
sensors
detect
a
forward-directed foot
motion
in
the
central
rear
area
and
the
trunk
lid
is
opened
or
closed.
General
information
To
avoid
locking
the
vehicle
key
in
the
vehicle, do
not
place
the
vehicle
key
in
the
cargo
area.
If
the
vehicle
key
is
in
the
sensor
area,
the
trunk
lid
may
open
or
close
inadvertently
if
you
uninj
tentionally
move
your
foot
or
if
a
foot
movement
is
detected.
The
sensor
has
an
approximate
range
of
5
ft/1.50
m
extending
from
the
rear
of
the

If
you
