Connecting a device via the USBport
External audio sources, such as an iPod® orMP3 player, can be connected to the audio sys-tem via any of the vehicle's USB ports.
If the vehicle has two USB ports, the phone mustbe connected to the port with the white frame touse Apple CarPlay* or Android Auto*.
USB ports (type A) in the tunnel console. Route thecable forward to help avoid pinching when the cover isclosed.

Android Auto*
Android Auto lets you listen to music, make calls,get driving directions and use apps customizedfor your vehicle from an Android device.Android Auto can be used with selected Androiddevices.
For information on supported apps and compati-ble Android devices, please go towww.android.com/auto/. For third-party apps, seeGoogle Play. Please note that Volvo is notresponsible for the content of Android Auto.
Android Auto is started from App view. AfterAndroid Auto has been initially started, the appwill start automatically the next time the device isconnected. The automatic start setting can bedeactivated in Settings.
NOTE
When a device is connected to Android Auto,it is possible to steam to another media playervia Bluetooth. Bluetooth is active whileAndroid Auto is in use.
When using navigation guidance provided byAndroid Auto, navigation will only be shown onthe center display and not in the instrumentpanel or head-up display.
Android Auto can be controlled from the centerdisplay, with the right-side steering wheel keypador by using voice commands. Press and hold the
steering wheel button to start Google Assis-tant and press briefly to deactivate it.

Tips for using Android Auto*
Here are some useful tips for when you useAndroid Auto.
Ensure that your apps are updated.
When starting the vehicle, wait until the cen-ter display has started, connect the deviceand then open Android Auto from the appview.
In the event of problems with Android Auto,unplug your Android device from the USBport and then plug it in again. Otherwise, tryclosing the app on the device and thenrestarting the app.
When a device is connected to Android Autoit is still possible to play media via Bluetoothto another media player. The Bluetooth func-tion is on when Android Auto is used.
If the Android Auto icon is grayed out, itmeans that a device is no longer connected.When you connect your device, the icon willlight up. If there is no icon at all, the vehicledoes not support connecting a device for thispurpose.
If the device is connected to the vehiclethrough Bluetooth, the connection will bebroken when Android Auto is used. ResumeInternet connection in the vehicle by tether-ing using the device's Wi-Fi hotspot.
A maximum of 20 Android devices can bestored at the same time, which may be worth
noting if many people share the vehicle, e.g.in a car pool. When the list is full and a newdevice is connected, the oldest one will bedeleted. A factory reset must be performedto delete the list.

Phone
A phone equipped with Bluetooth can be wire-lessly connected to the vehicle's integratedhands-free system.
The audio and media system offers hands-freefunctionality for remotely controlling a number ofthe phone's features. The phone's integratedcontrols can also be used, even when it is con-nected to the vehicle.
When the phone has been paired and connectedto the vehicle, it can be used as an Internet con-nection or to make or receive calls, send orreceive text messages or wirelessly play music.
The phone is controlled from the center display,and the App menu (accessed using the right-sidesteering wheel keypad) and voice commands canalso be used to control certain functions.

Electrical outlets
There are two 12 V electrical outlets and one120 V electrical outlet* in the tunnel console,and one 12 V electrical outlet* in the trunk/cargocompartment.
If a problem occurs with an electrical socket,contact a workshop - an authorized Volvo work-shop is recommended.

Using the electrical outlets
The 12 V outlet can be used for devicesintended for this such as MP3 players, coolersand cellular phones.
The high-voltage outlet* can be used for devicesintended for this, such as chargers, laptops, etc.
The ignition must be in at least mode I for theoutlets to supply current. The outlets will then beactive as long as there is sufficient charge in thestart battery.
If the engine is turned off and the vehicle islocked, the outlets will be deactivated. If theengine is turned off and the vehicle remainsunlocked, the sockets will remain active for up to7 minutes.
NOTE
Bear in mind that using the electrical outletswhen the engine is off could cause the starterbattery to have too low of a charge level,which could limit other functionality.
Accessories connected to the electrical out-lets can be activated even when the vehicleelectrical system is off or if preconditioning isused. For this reason, disconnect plugs whenthey are not in use to prevent the starter bat-tery from becoming discharged.
WARNING
Do not use accessories with large orheavy plugs – they could damage the out-let or come loose while you are driving.
Do not use accessories that could causedisruptions to e.g. the vehicle's radioreceiver or electrical system.
Position the accessory so that there is norisk of it injuring the driver or passengersin the event of heavy braking or a colli-sion.
Pay attention to connected accessoriesas they can generate heat that could burnpassengers or the interior.
Using 12 V outlets
1. Remove the stopper (tunnel console) or folddown the cover (trunk/cargo compartment)over the socket and plug in the device.
2. Unplug the device and put the stopper backin (tunnel console) or fold up the cover(trunk/cargo compartment) when the socketis not in use or left unattended.
CAUTION
The maximum power is 120 W (10 A) peroutlet.
Using high-voltage outlets
The ignition must be in at least mode I for theoutlets to supply current. The outlets will then beactive as long as there is sufficient charge in thestart battery.
1.Slide down the cover over the outlet and plugin the device.
>The LED2 light on the outlet will indicateits status.
2. The outlet is supplying electrical currentwhen the light is glowing steadily green.
3. Disconnect the device by pulling out the plug(do not pull on the cord).
Pull up the cover when the outlet is not inuse or is left unattended.
CAUTION
The maximum power is 150 W.
WARNING
Do not attempt to alter or repair the high-volt-age outlet on your own. Volvo recommendscontacting an authorized Volvo workshop.

Fuse pliers are provided on the inside of the fusebox cover to assist in removing and insertingfuses.
There are also spaces for several extra fuses inthe distribution box in the engine compart-ment.
Positions
Fuses 1, 3-21, 23-36, 39-53 and 55-59 are"Micro" fuses.
Fuses 2-22, 37-38 and 54 are "MCase"fuses and should only be replaced by a work-
shop19.
