MOTOR COMPARTMENT
WARNING
• Never touch, disassemble, remove or replace the high-voltage parts
and cables, as well as their connec-
tors. High-voltage cables are col-
ored orange. Touching, disassem-
bling, removing or replacing those
parts and cables can cause severe
burns or electric shock that may re-
sult in serious injury or death. • Never use a fuse of a higher or lower
amperage rating than that specified
on the fuse box cover. This could
damage the electrical system or
electronic control units or cause a
fire. If any electrical equipment does not oper-
ate, check for an open fuse.
1. Confirm that the power switch and the
headlight switch are turned off.
2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the fuse/fusible link holder cover by pushing the tab and lif ting the
cover from the right side, and then the
lef t side.
4. Locate the fuse that needs to be replaced.
5. Remove the fuse using the fuse puller located in the passenger compartment
fuse box.

6. If the fuse is openA, replace it with a
new fuse

7. If a new fuse also opens, have the electri- cal system checked, and if necessary, re-
paired. It is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN certified LEAF dealer for this
service.

Fusible links
If any electrical equipment does not oper-
ate and the fuses are in good condition,
check the fusible links in the holders
1,2
and3. If any of these fusible links are
melted, replace only with Genuine NISSAN
parts. For checking and replacing the fusible links
in the holders
1,2and3, it is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN certified
LEAF dealer for this service.

PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
WARNING
Never use a fuse of a higher or lower
amperage rating than that specified
on the fuse box cover. This could dam-
age the electrical system or electronic
control units or cause a fire. If any electrical equipment does not oper-
ate, check for an open fuse.
1. Make sure that the power switch and the
headlight switch are turned off.
2. Insert a screwdriver wrapped with the cloth

Extended storage switch
If any electrical equipment does not oper-
ate, remove the extended storage switch
and check for an open fuse.
NOTE:
The extended storage switch is used
for long term vehicle storage. Even if
the extended storage switch is broken
it is not necessary to replace it. Re-
place only the open fuse in the switch
with a new one.
How to replace the extended storage
switch:
1. To remove the extended storage switch,be sure the power switch is in the OFF
position.
2. Be sure the headlight switch is in the OFF position.
3. Remove the fuse box cover.
4. Pinch the locking tabs

on each side of the storage switch.
5. Pull the storage switch straight out from the fuse box

CAUTION
• Be careful not to allow children to swallow the battery and removed
parts.
• An improperly disposed battery can harm the environment. Always con-
firm local regulations for battery
disposal.
• When changing batteries, do not let dust or oil get on the components.
• There is danger of explosion if the lithium battery is incorrectly re-
placed. Replace only with the same
or equivalent type.
NISSAN INTELLIGENT KEY® BATTERY
REPLACEMENT

Replace the battery in the Intelligent Key as
follows:
1. Remove the mechanical key from theIntelligent Key. 2. Insert a small screwdriver into the slit of
the corner and twist it to separate the
upper part from the lower part. Use a
cloth to protect the casing.
3. Replace the battery with a new one.
Recommended battery:
CR2025 or equivalent
• Do not touch the internal circuit and electric terminals as doing so could
cause a malfunction.
• Hold the battery by the edges. Holding the battery across the contact points
will seriously deplete the storage ca-
pacity.
• Make sure that the side faces the
bottom of the case. 4. Align the tips of the upper and lower
parts
1, and then push them together
2until it is securely closed.
5. Operate the buttons to check that it is functioning properly.

Fog may temporarily form inside the lens
of the exterior lights in the rain or in a car
wash. A temperature difference between
the inside and the outside of the lens
causes the fog. This is not a malfunction. If
large drops of water collect inside the lens,
it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
certified LEAF dealer for this service.
HEADLIGHTS
If headlight bulb replacement is required, it
is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
certified LEAF dealer for this service.
Replacing the LED headlight bulb
