Make sure that the tire pressures are
alw ays cor rect. #
Do not transport any unnecessa ry
we ight (e.g. a roof rack which is no lon‐
ge rre qu ired). #

A regularly serviced vehicle will contri b‐

Pe rsonal driving style: #
Do not depress the accelera tor pedal
when starting the engine. #
Do not warm upthe engine while sta‐
tionar y. #
Drive carefully and maintain a su fficient

Avoid frequent, sudden acceleration and
braking. #
Shift gears in good time and use each
ge ar only up to00C3 of its maximum
engine speed. #
Switch off the engine when in stationary

e.g. the brake sy stem, may malfunction. Only use
Mercedes-Benz Genuine Parts or parts of equal
qu ality. Use only tires, wheels and accesso ry
parts that are appr oved foryo ur vehicle model.
Mercedes-Benz tests original parts, con version
parts and accessory parts that ha vebeen
appr ovedfo ryo ur vehicle model forre liability,
saf ety and suitabilit y.Despite ongoing ma rket

ently appr oved byate sting cen ter.
In some other countries, cer tain parts are only
of ficially appr ovedfo r ins tallation or modification
if th ey comply wi thlegal requirements. All
Mercedes-Benz Genuine Parts satisfy these
re qu irements. Make sure that all parts are suita‐
ble foryo ur vehicle.

duced and assembled in accordance with the
va lid Mercedes-Benz add-on equipment guide‐
lines. These add-on equipment guidelines ensure
th at thech assis and add-on equipment form one
unit and that the greatest possible le vel of opera‐
tional and driving saf ety is achie ved.
Bo th vehicle manufacturers as well as body man‐
ufacturers must alw ays ensure that the products
manufactured bythem come into circulation only
in a safe state and do not pose any risks topeo‐
ple. Otherwise, there may be consequences
under civil, criminal or public la w.All manu factur‐
ers are responsible forth e products that they
ha ve manufactured. The manufacturer of attach‐
ments, add-on equipment, inserts and con ver‐
sions must guara ntee compliance wi thDirective
2001/95/EC on general product sa fety.
Mercedes-Benz recommends thefo llowing for

R Do not make any other changes totheve hi‐
cle.
R Obtain appr oval from the dealer named on
th e inside title page in theeve nt of deviations
from the appr oved add-on equipment guide‐
lines.
Ac cep tance tests per form ed bypublic test bodies
or of ficial appr ovals do not rule out saf etyrisks.

If add-on equipment manufacturers and dealers
make modifications that af fect thefinal inspec‐
tion of the engine, vehicle or equipment, they
must accept sole responsibility forth eve hicle.
This also applies tomarking and documenting the
ve hicle parts af fected bythech anges that they
make.

modification.
R the modified vehicle still meets theve hicle
