oncoming traf fic.

In addition, children could also set theve hi‐
cle in motion, forex ample, by:
R releasing the parking brake.
R shifting the automatic transmission out of
park position 005D.

imately 40 seconds af ter unlocking:
R The vehicle is loc ked again
R Anti- theft pr otection is reactivated
Do not keep the SmartK eytoge ther with elec‐
tronic devices or me tal objects. This can af fect
th e SmartK ey's functionality.

R Vehicles with KEYLESS-GO: Ifyo uto uch
th e inner sur face of the door handle on the
driver's door, only the driver's door and fuel
fi ller flap are unlo cked. Deactivating
the SmartK eyfunctions If
yo u do not use theve hicle or a SmartK ey for
an extended pe riod of time, you can reduce the
energy consum ption of there spective Smart‐
Ke y . Todo so, deactivate the SmartK eyfunc‐

mechanical key in tothe trunk lock as far as it
will go. #
Turn the mechanical key clo ckwise from posi‐
tion 0047toposition 0048. #
Turn the mechanical key back toposition 0047

The ATA system is armed automatically af ter

R After locking theve hicle using KEYLESS-GO. When
theATA system is armed, indicator lamp

Limbs could be crushed or trapped if the
engine is star ted unintentionally during

R You can car ryout a maximum of two consec‐
utive starting attem pts. The vehicle must be
st ar ted once with the SmartK eybefore trying
to start theve hicle again with the smart‐
phone.
R You can stop theve hicle again at any time.
