Without Advanced Climate Control system:
The Climate Control system is equipped with
an in-cabin microfilter that collects dirt,
pollen, dust, etc. To make sure that the air
conditioner heats, defogs and ventilates
efficiently, replace the filter in accordance
with the maintenance schedule in the vehicle
Owner’s Manual. To replace the filter, it is
recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer. The filter should be replaced if the air flow
decreases significantly or if windows fog up
easily when operating the heater or air
conditioner.
SERVICING HEATER AND AIR
CONDITIONER
The heating and air conditioning system in
your vehicle is charged with a refrigerant
designed with the environment in mind. This
refrigerant will not harm the earth’s ozone
layer. However, special charging equipment
and lubricant are required when servicing the
air conditioner. Using improper refrigerants
or lubricants will cause severe damage to
your Climate Control system. Refer to the
vehicle Owner’s Manual for heating and air
conditioning system refrigerant and lubri-
cant recommendations.
It is recommended you visit an INFINITI retailer to service your environmentally
friendly heater and air conditioning system.
WARNING
The system contains refrigerant under
high pressure. To avoid personal injury,
any air conditioner service should be done
only by an experienced technician with
the proper equipment.
REAR WINDOW AND OUTSIDE
MIRROR DEFROSTER

window, be careful not to scratch or
damage the rear window defroster.

outside mirrors, start the engine and push

illuminate. Push the button again to turn off
the defroster.
The defroster will automatically turn off in
approximately 15 minutes.
If the engine is started using the remote start
function (if so equipped) when the outside
air temperature, the interior temperature
and the engine coolant temperature are
low, the rear window glass and outside
mirror defroster may turn on automatically.
For additional information about the remote
engine start function, refer to the vehicle

REARVIEW MONITOR (if so
equipped)
WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions for proper use of the RearView
Monitor system could result in serious
injury or death.. The RearView Monitor is a conveni-
ence but it is not a substitute for
proper backing. Always turn and look
out the windows, and check mirrors to
be sure that it is safe to move before
operating the vehicle. Always back up
slowly.
. The system is designed as an aid to
the driver in showing large stationary
objects directly behind the vehicle, to
help avoid damaging the vehicle.
. The distance guide line and the vehicle
width line should be used as a refer-
ence only when the vehicle is on a level
paved surface. The distance viewed
on the monitor is for reference only
and may be different than the actual
distance between the vehicle and displayed objects.
CAUTION
Do not scratch the camera lens when
cleaning dirt or snow from the front of
camera.
When the shift lever is shifted into the R
(Reverse) position, the upper touch screen
display (upper display) shows the view to the
rear of the vehicle.
The radio can still be heard while the Rear-
View Monitor is active.
To display the rear view, the RearView
Monitor system uses a cameralocated
just above the vehicle’s license plate.

Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions for the proper use of the
Around View® Monitor system could
result in serious injury or death.. The Around View® Monitor is a con-
venience feature and is not a sub- stitute for proper vehicle operation
because it has areas where objects
cannot be viewed. The four corners of
the vehicle in particular, are areas
where objects do not always appear
in the bird’s-eye, front, or rear views.
Always check your surroundings to be
sure that it is safe to move before
operating the vehicle. Always operate

safety during parking and other man-
euvers.

or snow from the front of the camera.
The Around View® Monitor system is de-
