Quick Reference Guide
VSA® On and Off (P592)
● The Vehicle Stability Assist ® (VSA ®) system
helps stabilize the vehicle during
cornering, and helps maintain traction
while accelerating on loose or slippery
road surfaces.
● VSA ® comes on automatically every time
you start the engine.
● To partially disable or fully restore VSA ®
function, press and ho ld the button until
you hear a beep.
Cruise Control* (P 561)
● Cruise control allows you to maintain a
set speed without keeping your foot on
the accelerator pedal.
● To use cruise control, press the CRUISE
button, then press the –/SET button once
you have achieved the desired speed
(above 25 mph or 40 km/h).
CMBSTM On and Off*
(P 613)
● When a possible collision is likely
unavoidable, the CMBS
TM can help you to
reduce the vehicle sp eed and the severity
of the collision.
● The CMBS
TM is turned on every time you
start the engine.
● To turn the CMBS
TM on or off, press and

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Tire

2. Potential Map Inaccuracy and Route Safety. Ma ps used by this system may be inaccurate because of changes in roads, traffic controls,
routing, or driving conditions. Always use good judgment and co mmon sense when following suggested routes. Do not follow the ro ute
suggestions if doing so would result in an unsafe or illegal driving maneuver, if you would be placed in an unsafe situation, o r if you would
be directed into an area that you consider unsafe. Do not rely on any navigation features included in the system to route you t o emergency
services. Not all emergency services such as police, fire stations, hospitals, or clinics are likely to be contained in the map database for such
navigation features. Ask local authorities or an emergency services operator for such locations and routes. The driver is ultimately
responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and therefore, must evaluate whether it is safe to follow the suggested directions. Any
navigation features are pr ovided only as an aid. Make your driving decisions based on your obse rvations of local conditions and existing
traffic regulations. Navigation features are not a substitute for your personal judgment. Any route suggestions made by the SOFTWARE or
SERVICES should never replace any local traffic regulations or your personal judgment or knowledge of safe driving practices.
3. Speech Recognition: You acknowledge and un derstand that HONDA and PROVIDERS may record, retain, and use voices commands
when you use the speech recognition componen ts of the SOFTWARE or SERVICES. You and all VEHICLE operators and passengers (a)
consent to the recording and rete ntion of voice commands in support of providing speech recognition components and (b) release HONDA
and PROVIDERS from all claims, liabilities, and losses that may result from any use of such recorded voice commands. Recognition errors
are inherent in speech recognition. It is your responsibility to monitor any speech recognition f unctions included in the system and address
any errors. Neither HONDA nor PROVIDERS will be liable for any damages arising out of errors in the speech recognition process.
4. Distraction Hazards. Navigation features may require manual (n on-verbal) input or setup. Attempting to perform such set-up or insert
data while driving can seriously distract your attention and c ould cause a crash or other serious consequences; the ability to undertake such
interactions may also be limited by state or local law, which laws you are responsible to know and follow. Even occasional shor t scans of
the screen may be hazardous if your attention has been diverted away from your driving at a critical time. Pull over and stop the vehicle in
a safe and legal manner before attempting to access a function of the system requiring prolonged attention. Do not raise the vo lume
excessively. Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear outside traffic and emergency signals while driving. Driving while unable
to hear these sounds could result in a crash.

■Tongue load
The weight of the tongue with a fully loaded
trailer on the hitch should be approximately
10% of the total trailer weight.
• Excessive tongue load reduce s front tire traction and steering control. Too little
tongue load can make the trailer unstable and cause it to sway.
Towing equipment varies by th e size of your trailer, how much load you are towing,
and where you are towing.
■Hitches
The hitch must be of an approved type and properly bolted to the underbody.
■Weight distribution hitches
Your vehicle is designed to tow without the need for a load distributing hitch. If you
wish to use one, please cons ult your trailer maker for proper installation and set-up.
Improper set-up could degrade the handling, stability, and braking performance of
your vehicle.

maintained, and that it meets federal, state, province/

Consult your traile r sales or rental agency if any other
items are recommended or required for your towing
situation.
The lighting and wiring of tra ilers can vary by type
and brand. If a connector is required, it should only
be installed by a qua lified technician.

The vehicle stops with the gear position in (D and the brake pedal depressed.
■Auto Idle Stop does not activate when:
• The Auto Idle Stop OFF button is pressed.
• The driver’s seat belt is not fastened.
• The engine coolant temperature is low or high.
• The transmission fluid temperature is low or high.
• The vehicle comes to a stop again before the vehicle speed reaches 3 mph (5 km/
h) after the engine starts.
• Stopped on a steep incline.
• The transmission is in a position other than
(D.
• The engine is started with the hood open.
u Turn off the engine. Close the hood before you restart the engine to activate
Auto Idle Stop.
• The battery charge is low.
• The internal temperature of the battery is 14°F (−10°C) or less.
• The climate control system is in use, and the outside temperature is below −4°F
(−20°C) or over 104°F (40°C).
• The climate control system is in use, and the temperature is set to Hi or Lo .

the power mode to ACCESSORY even while Auto Idle
Stop is in operation. Once in ACCESSORY, the engine
no longer restarts automatica lly. Follow the standard

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)*
Helps maintain a constant vehicle speed an d a set following-interval behind a vehicle
detected ahead of yours, without you havi ng to keep your foot on the brake or the
