To restore the starting condition of the
door locks (only if battery charge
restored) press the
button on the
remote control or the
button on the
dashboard or introduce the metal insert
of the ignition key in the driver's side
front door pawl and pull the door inner
handle.

Window opening
Push the buttons to open the desired
window. When one of the two buttons
is pressed briefly, the window moves
in "stages"; if the button is held down,
"continuous automatic" operation is
activated. If the button is pressed
again, the window will stop in
the desired position.Window closing
Lift the buttons to close the desired
window. The window closing stage
occurs following the same logic
described for the opening stage.
Anti-crush safety device
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The anti-pinch function is active both
during manual and automatic operation
of the electric windows. When the
anti-crush system is activated
the window travel is immediately
interrupted and then reversed. The
window cannot be operated in any way
during this time.
ELECTRIC WINDOWS
INITIALIZATION
If power supply is interrupted when the
window is moving, the electric window
automatic operation must be
reinitialised. The initialisation procedure
must be carried out with the doors
closed (and for each door) as follows:
fully close the window to be
initialised, with manual operation;
after the window has reached the
upper end of travel, hold the up button
pressed for at least one second.
WARNING
25)Improper use of the electric windows
can be dangerous. Before and during
operation, always check that passengers
are not exposed to the risk of being injured
either directly by the moving windows or
through objects getting caught or struck by
them. When leaving the vehicle, always
remove the ignition key to avoid the risk of
injury for people still on board due to
accidental operation of the electric
windows.

This only operates with the ignition

Electric power steering allows the
force required at the steering wheel to
be adapted to the driving conditions.
IMPORTANT When turning the ignition
key quickly, full power steering
functionality can be achieved after a
few seconds.
IMPORTANT During parking
manoeuvres requiring a lot of steering,
the steering may become harder; this is
normal and is due to the intervention
of the system to protect the electric
steering motor from overheating. No
repair intervention is needed in this
case. When the car is used again, the
power steering will work normally again.IMPORTANT The Dualdrive electric
power steering provides an electronic
damping effect when approaching
the end of travel. In some manoeuvring
conditions, the steering wheel may
perform an additional small rotation until
reaching its mechanical stop. This
behaviour is normal and is intended to
prevent excessive impacts with the
mechanical components located inside
the device.

When the power steering is on, the
steering wheel effort is lighter, making
parking easier: therefore, this function is
particularly useful for driving in city
centres.

32)It is absolutely forbidden to carry out
any after-market operation involving
steering system or steering column
modifications (e.g. installation of anti-theft
device) that could adversely affect
performance and safety, invalidate the
warranty and also result in the car not
meeting type-approval requirements.
33)Before performing any maintenance
operations, always turn off the engine and
remove the key from the ignition to lock the
steering column (especially when the car
wheels are not touching the ground). If this
is not possible (for example if the key
needs to be turned to MAR or the engine
must be running), remove the main fuse
that protects the electric power steering.

The Trip computer is used to display
information on car operation when the
ignition key is turned to MAR.The Trip computer comprises:
Instantaneous info: displays the
“Range” and “Instantaneous
consumption" parameters.
"Trip A" displays the following
values: “Distance travelled”, “Travel
time”, “Average fuel consumption” and
“Average speed”
"Trip B" displays the following
values: “Distance travelled”, “Journey
time”, “Average fuel consumption” and
“Average speed”.
“Trip A” and “Trip B” monitor the car's
"complete missions" (trips) separately
from each other. The “Trip B” function
may be excluded.
The "Range" is also calculated and
displayed with the car at a standstill
and the engine running.
Reset “Trip A” / “Trip B”
Both functions can be reset (reset
means start of a new journey). To reset
the values, press and hold down the
OKbutton on the steering wheel (see
"Control buttons" section). The reset
only applies to the values displayed
(“Trip A” or “Trip: B”).
NOTE “Range” and “Instantaneous fuel
consumption" parameters cannot be
reset.

The Setup Menu includes the following

WARNING LIGHTS AND MESSAGES
IMPORTANT The warning light switches on together with a dedicated message and/or acoustic signal when applicable. These
indications are indicative and precautionary and as such must not be considered as exhaustive and/or alternative to the
information contained in the Owner Handbook, which you are advised to read carefully in all cases. In the event of a failure
indication, always refer to the contents of this chapter.
IMPORTANT The failure indicators which are shown on the display are divided into two categories: very serious and less
serious failures. Very serious faults prompt a prolonged cycle of signals. Less serious faults prompt a shorter cycle of signals.
The display cycle of both categories can be interrupted. The instrument panel warning light will stay on until the cause of the
failure is eliminated.
WARNING LIGHTS ON INSTRUMENT PANEL
Red warning lights
Warning light What it means
redLOW BRAKE FLUID/HANDBRAKE ENGAGED
The warning light switches on when the ignition key is turned to MAR, but it should switch off after a few
seconds.
Low brake fluid level
The warning light turns on when the level of the brake fluid in the reservoir falls below the minimum level,
possibly due to a leak in the circuit. On some versions a message and a symbol are shown on the display.
Restore the brake fluid level, then check that the warning light has switched off. If the warning light stays
on, contact a Fiat Dealership.
Handbrake engaged
The warning light (or symbol on the display) switches on when the handbrake is engaged. On certain
versions, if the car is moving the buzzer will also sound. Release the handbrake, then check that the
warning light has switched off. If the warning light stays on, contact a Fiat Dealership.
IMPORTANT If the warning light comes on while driving, check that the handbrake is not on.

The warning light switches on when the ignition key is turned to MAR, but it should switch off after a few
seconds.
The simultaneous switching on of the
(red) and(amber) warning lights with the engine on
indicates either a fault of the EBD system or that the system is not available. In this case, the rear wheels
may suddenly lock and the vehicle may swerve when braking sharply. On certain versions a dedicated
message is displayed.
Drive very carefully to the nearest Fiat Dealership to have the system inspected immediately.
