START&STOP SYSTEM
CONTROL
The dual zone automatic climate control
manages the Start&Stop system
(engine off and vehicle at a standstill) in
order to guarantee sufficient comfort
inside the passenger compartment.
IMPORTANT In particularly severe
climate conditions it is recommended to
limit the use of the Start&Stop system
to prevent the compressor from
continuously switching on and off, with
consequent rapid misting of the
windows and accumulation of humidity
with unpleasant smells in the passenger
compartment.
IMPORTANT When the Start&Stop
system is on (engine off and car at a
standstill), the automatic recirculation
management is turned off always taking
air in from outside, to reduce the
probability of the windows misting up
(as the compressor is off).
WARNING
19)It is inadvisable to use internal air
recirculation when the outside temperature
is low, since the windows could mist up
rapidly.
WARNING
5)The climate control system detects the
passenger compartment temperature
using a mean radiant temperature sensor
located in the interior rear view mirror
and protected by a specific cover.
Obstructing the field of view of this sensor
with any object could cause the climate
control system to operate with less than
optimal efficiency.
CLIMATE CONTROL
SYSTEM
The system uses a coolant that is
compatible with the laws in force in the
countries where the vehicle is sold,
R134a or R1234yf. When charging,
only use the gas indicated on the
dedicated plate in the engine
compartment fig. 26.
The use of other coolants affects the
efficiency and condition of the system.
The lubricant used for the compressor
is also strictly linked to the type of
cooling gas: contact a Fiat Dealership.

AUTOMATIC LIGHTING
CONTROL (AUTOLIGHT)
(dusk sensor)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
This is an infrared LED sensor located
on the windscreen, which detects
variations in outside light levels.
Activation: turn ring nut A fig. 27 to
.
With dusk sensor active, with daytime
running lights (DRL) on, it is not
possible to keep the main beam
headlights on constantly; only flashing
is permitted. In these conditions, the
main beam headlights can be turned on
by turning the ring nut to
and
pushing the stalk towards the
dashboard; otherwise, wait until the
dusk sensor indicates a low light level
(dipped beam headlights on).
On automatic sensor controlled
deactivation, the dipped beam
headlights are deactivated first,
followed by the side lights a few
seconds later.IMPORTANT The sensor cannot detect
the presence of fog. These lights must
therefore be switched on manually in
these circumstances.
MAIN BEAM HEADLIGHTS
With ring nut in position
, push the
stalk forward toward the dashboard
(stable position) to turn on the lights.
The
warning light on the instrument
panel turns on.
The lights are switched off by pulling
the stalk towards the steering wheel.
FLASHING
Pull the left stalk fig. 29 toward yourself,
to the stable position; the stalk goes
back to the central stable position when
it is released. With main beam
headlights on, the
warning light on
the instrument panel will come on at
the same time.DIRECTION INDICATORS
Place the lever in the (stable) position:
upwards:right-hand direction indicator
activation/downwards:left-hand
direction indicator activation.
The
orwarning light will blink on
the instrument panel.
The direction indicators are switched off
automatically when the steering wheel
is straightened.
"Lane change" function
If you wish to signal a lane change,
place the left stalk in the unstable
position for less than half a second. The
direction indicator on the side selected
will be activated for 5 flashes and
then go out automatically.
“Cornering lights”
When the dipped beam headlights are
on and the speed is below 40 km/h,
if the steering wheel rotation angle
is large or the direction indicators are
on, a light (incorporated in the fog light)
will come on on the relevant side to
improve visibility at night time.
COURTESY LIGHTS
The function can be enabled and its
times set use the "Settings" Menu
of theUconnect™system. When the
doors are unlocked, the side lights
and puddle lights come on for the time
set in the menu.

off. Each time the stalk is operated,
the lights stay on for an extra 30
seconds up to a maximum of 210
seconds. When this time is up the lights
automatically switch off.
Each time the stalk is operated, the
warning light
on the instrument
panel switches on. The display shows a

and stays on until the function is
automatically deactivated.Deactivation

for driving during the daytime in countries
where it is compulsory to have lights on
during the day; where it is not compulsory,
the use of daytime running lights is
permitted.
21)Daytime running lights cannot replace

22)Make sure the device is switched off
whenever the windscreen must be
cleaned.
WARNING
6)Do not use the windscreen wiper to
remove layers of snow or ice from the

not restored (even after turning the key and
restarting the engine), contact a Fiat
Dealership.
7)Do not operate the windscreen wiper
with the blades lifted from the windscreen.

the protective cap A fig. 34 on the
internal trim, take the Allen key B
provided (located in the tool box or,
depending on the version, in the
Fix&Go Automatic container in the
luggage compartment), insert it in
housing A and turn it clockwise to open
the blind or anticlockwise to close it.

box or, depending on the version,
from the Fix&Go Automatic container,
insert it in housing A (for blind
movement) or B (for sun roof

SUN ROOF
INITIALISATION
Following an automatic movement
malfunction while opening/closing or
after an emergency manoeuvre (see
description in the previous paragraph),
the automatic operation of the sunroof
must be initialised again.
Proceed as follows
turn the ignition key from the STOP
position to the MAR position;
hold down button A fig. 35: after
approximately 10 seconds the roof
moves jerkily to closing position. When
the movement stops (closed roof),
release button A (if the roof is already
closed, you will hear the mechanical
lock only);
press button A again within 5
seconds after the blind reached the fully
closed position;
hold down button A: the roof will
perform an automatic opening and
closing cycle. Should this not occur,
repeat the operation from the
beginning;
hold down button A until the roof is
completely closed: the initialisation
procedure has ended.
WARNING
23)When leaving the vehicle, always
remove the key from the ignition to avoid
the risk of injury to those still inside the
vehicle due to accidental operation of the
sun roof. Improper use of the roof can
be dangerous. Before and during
operation, always check that no one is
exposed to the risk of being injured by the
moving sun roof or by objects getting
caught or hit by it.
WARNING
11)Do not open the sunroof if a transverse
roof rack is fitted. Do not open the sunroof
if there is snow or ice on it: you may

operation, always check that passengers
are not exposed to the risk of being injured
either directly by the moving windows or
through objects getting caught or struck by
them. When leaving the vehicle, always
remove the ignition key to avoid the risk of
injury for people still on board due to
accidental operation of the electric
windows.
