REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY
TRANSMITTER
KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM
Lock
Press to lock all doors.
Unlock
Press to unlock the driver's door. Press again to unlock all doors. Press and hold to open all windows.
Note: To change the Remote Lock and Unlock settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.
Remote Start♦
Use to start the engine from outside the vehicle. See Adaptive Remote Start on page 17.
Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
Press and release to locate your vehicle. The exterior lamps flash and the horn sounds.
Press and hold for 3 seconds to activate the alarm. The turn signal lamps flash and the horn sounds for 30 seconds, or until the
button is pressed again or the vehicle is started.
Trunk Release
Press twice to open the trunk.

The Keyless Access System enables operation of the doors,
ignition and trunk without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter from your pocket or purse. The transmitter must be within 3 feet of the door being unlocked or within 3 feet of the trunk.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the transmitter within range:
Press the Lock button on the driver’s door handle to unlock the driver’s door; press it again within 5 seconds to unlock all doors.
Press the Lock button on a passenger door handle to unlock all doors.
Press the touch pad above the license plate to open the trunk.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the ignition off, the transmitter removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed:
Press the Lock button on any door handle to lock all doors immediately.
If Passive Locking is turned on, all doors will lock automat ically after a short delay once all doors are closed.
Note: To change the door lock and unlock settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.

KEYLESS START
START
With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal (and clutch pedal, if equipped) and then press the ENGINE START/STOP button to start the engine. The green indicator on the
button will illuminate. ENGINE START/STOP will
illuminate on the button when the headlamps are on.
Note: The Remote Keyless Entry transmitter must be in the vehicle to tur\
n on the ignition. If the transmitter battery is weak, place the transmitter in the pocket at the front of the center console storage area to enable the engine to start. Replace the transmitter battery as soon as possible.
STOP/OFF
Shift to Park (automatic transmission), or 1st or Reverse (manual transmission), and press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn off the engine.
Power is available to operate the audio system for 10 minutes or until the driver’s door is opened.
ACCESSORY
With the engine off and the brake pedal NOT depressed, press the ENGINE START/STOP button to place the vehicle in Accessory mode. The amber indicator on the button will illuminate.

AUTO ENGINE STOP/START OPERATION
(IF EQUIPPED)
A fuel-saving automatic engine stop/start system is included on vehicles equipped with the 2.0L L4 turbocharged engine or 3.6L V6 engine.
While driving, when the brake pedal is applied and the vehicle is at a complete stop, the auto engine stop/start system may turn off the engine, depending on operating conditions. When the engine is off, the tachometer gauge will read AUTO STOP. Upon releasing the brake pedal or applying the accelerator pedal, the engine will restart. After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine, the tachometer gauge will read OFF.
The engine may remain running or restart when the vehicle is stopped if:
• A minimum vehicle speed is not reached.
• The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature.
• The outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
• The shift lever is in any gear other than D (Drive).
• The battery charge is low.
• The climate control system requires the engine to run based on the current settings.
• The Auto Stop time is greater than 2 minutes.
AUTO ENGINE STOP/START DISABLE
Press the $ button on the center console when the engine is running to disable the auto engine stop/start system.
When the system is disabled, the button indicator will not be illu-minated and the $ symbol on the instrument cluster will change from green to white with a slash through it.

Some vehicle features can be custom-ized using the infotain-ment system. Settings may include Rear Seat Reminder; Climate and Air Quality; Collision/Detection Systems; Comfort and Convenience; Lighting; Power Door Locks; Remote Lock, Unlock, Start; Teen Driver; and Valet Mode.
1. Touch Settings on the Home page.

TEEN DRIVER
UNIVERSAL REMOTE SYSTEM♦
Teen Driver allows multiple keys to be registered for beginning
drivers. When active, the system automatically activates certain safety systems, allows setting of some features, and limits the use of others. An in-vehicle Report Card records vehicle data about driving behavior. When the vehicle is started with a registered key, a Driver Information Center message displays that Teen Driver is active.
To create a Personal Identification Number, register a key, change Teen Driver settings, or access the Report Card, go to Settings > Vehicle > Teen Driver.

Forward/Reverse Automatic Braking♦ – In potential front- and rear-end imminent collision situations with vehicles directly ahead or behind, and with some objects behind your vehicle, the brakes may be applied, if you have not already done so, to help reduce the collision's severity or help avoid collisions at very low speeds.
To set Forward Automatic Braking to Alert and Brake, Alert, or Off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems > Forward Collision System.
To set Reverse Automatic Braking to on or off, press the Park Assist button on the left side of the instrument panel. This will also turn on/off the Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert systems.
Automatic Safety Belt Tightening♦ – The front safety belts auto-matically tighten during emergency braking or steering maneuvers, and release when driving conditions return to normal.

ADAPTIVE REMOTE START♦
STARTING THE VEHICLE
1. Press and release the Lock button on the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter.
2. Immediately press and hold the Remote Start button until the turn signal lamps flash.
When the vehicle starts, the parking lamps will light and remain on while the engine is running. The engine will continue
running for 15 minutes. Repeat these steps for a 15-minute time extension. Remote start can be extended only once.
3. Before driving, simultaneously press the brake pedal and the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn on the ignition.
CANCELING A REMOTE START Press and hold the Remote Start button until the parking lamps turn off.
CLIMATE CONTROL OPERATION
During a remote start, the automatic climate control system will operate at the same setting as when the vehicle was last turned off.
HEATED SEAT OPERATION
Select the Remote Start Auto Heat Seats option in the Settings menu to have the heated seats turn on during a remote start on cold days. The heated seat button indicators do not illuminate and the temperature performance of the unoccupied heated seat may be reduced during the remote start. The heated seats turn off when the ignition is turned on.

AUTO HEATED SEATS/
STEERING WHEEL♦
When the vehicle is on, the automatic heated seats and automatic heated steering wheel will be activated based on the vehicle's interior temperature. The heated seat level is shown on the heated seat control indicators. Turn off the heated seats using the heated seat controls. Turn off the heated steering wheel using the steering wheel control.
To turn the features on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Climate and Air Quality.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS♦
EXPRESS OPEN/CLOSE THE SUNROOF
Fully press the SLIDE switch to express open the sunroof. Press the switch again while the sunroof is in motion to stop the sunroof at that position.
Fully press the SLIDE switch to express close the
sunroof. Press the switch again while the sunroof is in motion to stop the sunroof at that position.
TILT/CLOSE THE SUNROOF
Press the TILT switch to tilt the sunroof.
Press the TILT switch to close the sunroof.

TIRES
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR
The Low Tire Pressure warning light on the instrument cluster illuminates when one or more of the vehicle’s tires is
significantly underinflated. Fill the tires to the proper tire
pressures listed on the Tire and Loading Information label, located below the driver’s door latch. Current tire pressures can be viewed on the Driver Information Center.
Refer to your Owner's Manual for additional information about normal
monthly tire maintenance.
TIRE SEALANT AND COMPRESSOR KIT♦
The tire sealant and compressor kit can be used to temporarily seal small punctures in the tread area of the tire. The kit is located under the trunk floor. Refer to the kit instructions for complete operating information.

SUNROOF♦
ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE♦
REFUELING THE VEHICLE To apply the parking brake, pull the Parking Brake switch on the left side of the instrument panel (auto-matic transmission) or on the center console (manual transmission).
To release the parking brake, turn on the ignition, press the brake pedal, and then press the switch.

To open the fuel door, press and release the center of the rear edge of the door. It will pop out slightly. Pull the door open.
The vehicle’s capless fuel system does not have a fuel cap. Fully insert the fuel pump nozzle before starting to fill the tank.
Note: When using a portable gas can, insert the funnel adapter, located \
under the cargo floor, into the capless fuel fill.
