Temperature Concept
The
automatic
climate
control
achieves
the
set
temperature
as
quickly
as
possible,
if
needed,
by using
the
maximum
cooling
or
heating
capacity,and
then
keeps
it
constant.
Adjusting Press

lower

side
toset
the
desired
temperature.
Do
not
rapidly
switch
between
different
temperaj
ture
settings.
Otherwise,
the
automatic
climate control
will
not
have
sufficient
time
to
adjust
theset
temperature.
Air
conditioning Concept
The
air
in
the
car's
interior
will
be
cooled
and
dej humidified
and,
depending
on
the
temperature setting,
warmed
again.
The
car's
interior
can
only
be
cooled
with
the
drive-ready
state
switched
on.

lowest

Recirculated-air
mode
Concept
You
may
react
to
unpleasant
odors
or
pollutants in
the
immediate
environment
by
temporarily
suspending
the
supply
of
outside
air.
The
system
then
recirculates
the
air
flow
within
the
vehicle.
Operation Press
the
button:
The
LED
is
illuminated
when
recircuj
lated-air
mode
is
switched
on.
The
supply
of
outj side
air
is
shut
off.
When
recirculated-air
mode
is
switched
off,
fresh air
is
directed
into
the
vehicle's
interior.
With
constant
recirculated-air
mode,
the
air
qualjity
in
the
car's
interior
deteriorates
and
windowfogging
increases.
To
prevent
window
fogging,
recirculated-air
mode
switches
off
automatically
after
a
certain amount
of
time,
depending
on
the
environmental
conditions.
If
there
is
window
condensation,
switch
off
recirj
culated-air
mode
or
defog
the
windows,
refer
to page

Adjusting
the
air
flow
manually
Concept
The
air
flow
for
climate
control
can
be
adjusted
manually.
General
information To
adjust

air
flow
manually

off
AUTO
program
first.
Operation Press

lower

upper
side

air
flow.
The
selected
air
flow
is
shown
on
the
display
of
the
automatic
climate
control.
The
air
flow
of

battery

Rear
window
defroster Press

The
LED
lights
up.
The
function
is
available
with
the
engine
running. The
rear
window
defroster
switches
off
automatjically
after
a
certain
period

time.
Microfilter/activated-charcoal
filter
The
microfilter
removes
dust
and
pollen
from
the
incoming
air.
The
activated-charcoal
filter
also
removes
gasj eous
pollutants
from
the
outside
air
that
enters
the
vehicle.

combined
filter

during
