assistance, and the transmission of impo rtant messages regarding your vehicle’s
status.
For information on traffic rerouting and traffi c information updates, provided by the
AcuraLink server, see the Na vigation System Manual.

positioning, and its condition will be sent to
the operator; you also can speak to the
operator when connected.
■In Case of Emergency

Driving
Use the paddle shifters to change between 1st and 8th gears without releasing your
hands from the steering wheel. The transmission will switch to the sequential mode.
■When the transmi ssion is in (D:
The vehicle will go into the sequential mode momentarily, and the gear position
indicator will come on.
Once you start traveling at a constant speed, the sequential mode will automatically
switch off, and the gear pos ition indicator will go off.
Hold the
(+ paddle shifter for two seconds to return to normal drive.
■When the transmi ssion is in (S:
The vehicle will go into th e sequential mode, and the M (sequential mode) indicator
and gear position indicator will come on. At speeds of 2 mph (4 km/h) or less, the
vehicle automatically shifts down into 1st gear. It will not automatically shift up,
even if vehicle speed increases.
If you are in 1st through 6th gears and do not operate the paddle shifters as engine
speed increases approaches the tach ometer red zone, the transmission
automatically shifts up to the next gear.
When switching out of the sequential mode, move the shift lever from
(S to (D.
When the sequential mode is canceled, the M indicator and gear position indicator
will turn off.

About Your Multi-View Rear Camera
The audio/information screen* or information screen* can display your vehicle’s rear
view. The display automatically changes to the rear view when the transmission is
put into
(R.
■Multi-View Rear Camera Display Area
1 About Your Multi-View Rear Camera
The rear camera view is restricted. You cannot see
the corner ends of the bumper or what is underneath
the bumper. Its unique le ns also makes objects
appear closer or farther than they actually are.
Visually confirm that it is safe to drive before backing
up. Certain conditions (such as weather, lighting, and
high temperatures) may also restrict the rear view. Do
not rely on the rearview display which does not give
you all information about conditions at the back of
your vehicle.
If the camera lens is cove red with dirt or moisture,
use a soft, moist cloth to keep the lens clean and free
of debris.
You can change the Fixed Guideline and Dynamic
Guideline settings. 2 Customized Features P. 310
