F Connect one end of the red cable to the (+ ) terminal of the flat battery A , then the
other end to the ( +) terminal of the back-up
battery

onnect one end of the green or black
cable to the (-) terminal of the back-up
battery B .

onnect the other end of the green or black
cable to the earth point C of your broken
down vehicle. F

tart the engine of the vehicle with the good
battery and wait for a few minutes.

perate the ignition switch of your vehicle
until the "Ready" lamp comes on.
F

isconnect the jump cables in reverse
o r d e r.
F
R
efit the protective cover on the battery and
tighten the retaining nut.
If the "Ready" warning lamp does not come on,
proceed as follows:

eave the cables connected.
F
S
et the ignition switch of your vehicle to the
" LOCK " position.
F
C
harge the main battery, following the
normal charging procedure.
F
W
hen the charging indicator lamp comes on
constantly (fixed) in the instrument panel,
disconnect the cables.
F
A
llow the charging to continue for at least
o n e h o u r.
F
O
perate the ignition switch of your vehicle
until the "Ready" lamp comes on.
If the problem persists, contact a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Charging the battery using
a battery charger
F Remove the battery protective cover.
Make sure the electrolyte is not frozen.
Check the level and top up with distilled
water, if necessary.
