Automatic operation
To fully open a window equipped with au-
tomatic operation, push the window
switch down to the second detent and re-
lease it; it need not be held. The window
automatically opens all the way. To stop
the window, lif t the switch up while the win-
dow is opening.The interior light has a three-position
switch and operates regardless of ignition
switch position.
When the switch is in the ON position
3,
the interior lights illuminate, regardless of
door position. The lights will go off af ter a
period of time unless the ignition switch is
placed in the ACC or ON position (if so
equipped). When the switch is in the DOOR position
2,
the interior lights will stay on for a period of
time when:
∙ The doors are unlocked by the key fob, a key or the power door lock switch while
all doors are closed and the ignition
switch is placed in the OFF position.
∙ The driver’s door is opened and then closed while the key is removed from
the ignition switch.
∙ The key is removed from the ignition switch while all doors are closed.
The lights will turn off while the timer is
activated when: ∙ The driver’s door is locked by the key fob, a key, or the power door lock switch.
∙ The ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
When the switch is in the OFF position
1,
the interior lights do not illuminate, regard-
less of door position.
The lights will turn off automatically af ter a
period of time while doors are open to pre-
vent the battery from becoming dis-
charged.

A key number plate is supplied with your
keys. Record the key number and keep it in
a safe place (such as your wallet), not in the
vehicle. If you lose your keys, it is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
duplicates by using the key number.
NISSAN does not record key numbers so it
is very important to keep track of your key
number plate.A key number is only necessary when you
have lost all your keys. If you still have a key,
it can be duplicated without knowing the
key number.

CAUTION
Do not leave the ignition key inside the
vehicle when you leave the vehicle.

As many as five key fobs can be used with
one vehicle. For information concerning
the purchase and use of additional key
fobs, it is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer.
The key fob will not function when:∙ The battery is discharged.
∙ The distance between the vehicle and the key fob is over 10 m (33 f t).
The panic alarm will not activate when
the key is in the ignition switch.
CAUTION
Listed below are conditions or occur-
rences which will damage the key fob:
∙ Do not allow the key fob, which con- tains electrical components, to come
into contact with water or salt water.
This could affect the system function.
∙ Do not drop the key fob.
∙ Do not strike the key fob sharply against another object.
∙ Do not change or modif y the key fob.
∙ Wetting may damage the key fob. If the key fob gets wet, immediately
wipe until it is completely dry. ∙ Do not place the key fob for an ex-
tended period in an area where tem-
peratures exceed 60°C (140°F).
∙ Do not attach the key fob with a key holder that contains a magnet.
∙ Do not place the key fob near equip- ment that produces a magnetic field,
such as a TV, audio equipment and
personal computers.
If a key fob is lost or stolen, NISSAN rec-
ommends erasing the ID code of that
key fob. This will prevent the key fob
from unauthorized use to unlock the
vehicle. For information regarding the
erasing procedure, it is recommended
that you visit a NISSAN dealer.HOW TO USE REMOTE KEYLESS

Locking the doors
1. Remove the ignition key.
2. Close all the doors.
3. Press the
button on the key fob.
∙ All the doors will lock.
∙ The hazard indicator flashes once.

NOTE:
An auto-relock function will operate af-
ter a full or partial unlock, when no fur-
ther user action occurs. The relock will
operate approximately 30 seconds af ter
full or partial unlock. The auto-relock
function is canceled when any door is
opened or the key is inserted into the
ignition.
Unlocking the doors
Press thebutton on the key fob.
∙ All doors unlock.
∙ The hazard indicator flashes twice.
Auto relock
When thebutton on the key fob is
pressed, all doors will lock automatically
within 30 seconds unless one of the follow-
ing operations is performed:
∙ Any door is opened.
∙ A key is inserted into the ignition switch and the switch is cycled from OFF to ON.
Using the panic alarm
If you are near your vehicle and feel threat-
ened, you may activate the panic alarm to
call attention by pressing and holding
the
button on the key fob for longer
than 0.5 seconds.
The panic alarm will stay on for a period of
time.
The panic alarm stops when:
∙ It has run for a period of time, or
∙ Any button is pressed on the key fob.

OUTSIDE MIRRORS
WARNING
∙ Objects viewed in the outside mirroron the passenger side are closer than
they appear. Be careful when moving
to the right. Using only this mirror
could cause an accident. Use the in-
side mirror or glance over your shoul-
der to properly judge distances to
other objects.
∙ Do not adjust the mirrors while driv- ing. You could lose control of your ve-
hicle and cause an accident.
Manual control type (if so
equipped)
The outside mirror can be moved in any
direction for a better rear view by adjusting
the inside lever.
Electric control type (if so
equipped)
The outside mirror remote control will op-
erate only when the ignition switch is in the
ACC or ON position.
Move the small switch
1to select the right
or lef t mirror. Adjust each mirror to the de-
sired position using the large switch
2.
Move the small switch to the center (neu-
tral) position to prevent accidentally mov-
ing the mirror.

∙ Failure to follow the warnings and in-structions for proper use of the Rear-
View Monitor system could result in
serious injury or death.
∙ RearView Monitor is a convenience feature and is not a substitute for
proper backing. Always turn and look
out the windows and check mirrors to
be sure that it is safe to move before
operating the vehicle. Always back up
slowly.
∙ The system is designed as an aid to the driver in showing large stationary
objects directly behind the vehicle, to
help avoid damaging the vehicle.
∙ The distance guide line and the ve- hicle width line should be used as a
reference only when the vehicle is on a
level paved surface. The distance
viewed on the monitor is for reference
only and may be different than the
actual distance between the vehicle
and displayed objects.
CAUTION
Do not scratch the camera lens when
cleaning dirt or snow from the front of
the camera.
The RearView Monitor system automati-
cally shows a rear view of the vehicle when
the shif t lever is shif ted into the R (Reverse)
position. The radio can still be heard while
the RearView Monitor is active.
To display the rear view, the RearView Moni-
tor system uses a camera located on the
rear hatch near the handle

REARVIEW MONITOR SYSTEM
OPERATION
With the ignition switch in the ON position,
move the shif t lever to the R (Reverse) po-
sition to operate the RearView Monitor.

The air conditioner system in your NISSAN
vehicle is charged with a refrigerant de-
signed with the environment in mind.
This refrigerant does not harm the
earth’s ozone layer.
Special charging equipment and lubricant
is required when servicing your NISSAN air
conditioner. Using improper refrigerants or
lubricants will cause severe damage to
your air conditioner system. For additional
information, refer to “Air conditioner sys-
tem (if so equipped) refrigerant and oil rec-
ommendations” in the “Technical and con-
sumer information” section of this manual.
It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer to service your “environmentally
friendly” air conditioning system.
WARNING
The air conditioner system contains re-
frigerant under high pressure. To avoid
personal injury, any air conditioner ser-
vice should be done only by a NISSAN
dealer.
RADIO
Place the ignition switch in the ACC or ON
position and press the
(power) but-
ton / PWR (button) to turn the radio on. If
you listen to the radio with the engine not
running, the ignition switch should be
placed in the ACC position.
Radio reception is affected by station sig-
nal strength, distance from radio transmit-
ter, buildings, bridges, mountains and other
external influences. Intermittent changes
in reception quality normally are caused by
these external influences.
Using a cellular phone in or near the ve-
hicle may influence radio reception qual-
ity.
Radio reception
Your NISSAN radio system is equipped with
state-of-the-art electronic circuits to en-
hance radio reception. These circuits are
designed to extend reception range and to
enhance the quality of that reception.
However, there are some general charac-
teristics of both FM and AM radio signals
that can affect radio reception quality in a
moving vehicle, even when the finest
equipment is used. These characteristics
are completely normal in a given reception area and do not indicate any malfunction
in your NISSAN radio system.
Reception conditions will constantly
change because of vehicle movement.
Buildings, terrain, signal distance and inter-
ference from other vehicles can work
against ideal reception. Described below
are some of the factors that can affect your
radio reception.
Some cellular phones or other devices may
cause interference or a buzzing noise to
come from the audio system speakers.
Storing the device in a different location
may reduce or eliminate the noise.
FM RADIO RECEPTION
Range: FM range is normally limited to 40 –
48 km (25 – 30 mi) with monaural (single
channel) FM having slightly more range
than stereo FM. External influences may
sometimes interfere with FM station re-
ception even if the FM station is within
40 km (25 mi). The strength of the FM signal
is directly related to the distance between
the transmitter and receiver. FM signals fol-
low a line-of-sight path, exhibiting many of
the same characteristics as light. For ex-
ample, they will reflect off objects.

Audio main operation
VOL (volume) control knob
/(power) button
Place the ignition switch in the ACC or ON
position, then press the
button. If you listen to the radio with the engine not
running, place the ignition in the ACC posi-
tion. The mode (radio or CD) that was play-
ing immediately before the system was
turned off resumes playing.
When a CD is loaded, the radio comes on.
Pressing thebutton again turns the
system off. Turn the VOL (volume) control knob to the
right to increase volume or to the lef t to
decrease volume.
MENU button
Audio Bass Adjusts the bass to the desired level.
Treble Adjusts the treble to the desired level.
Balance Adjusts the balance to the desired level. Balance adjusts the sound level between the lef t and right speakers.
Fade Adjusts the fade to the desired level. Fade adjusts the sound level between the front and rear speakers.
Spd Sen Vol. Adjusts the speed sensitive volume function, which increases the volume of the audio system as the speed of the vehicle
increases. Set to “OFF” to disable the feature. The higher the setting, the more the volume increases in relation to vehicle
speed.
AUX IN Volume Choose a setting from 0 to +3 to control the boost of incoming auxiliary device volume. A setting of 0 provides no additional
boost in volume. A setting of +3 provides the greatest boost in volume.
Clock Select “ON” or “OFF” to control whether the clock is shown on the display screen.
Adjust Clock Select “YES” to adjust the hours and/or minutes on the clock.
Bass, treble, balance and fade can also be
adjusted by pressing the MENU button until
the desired mode appears in the display. Press theSEEK orTRACK but-
ton to adjust the setting to the desired level
(-5 to +5). Once you have adjusted the
sound quality to the desired level, press the
MENU button repeatedly until the radio or CD display reappears, otherwise the radio
or CD display will automatically reappear
af ter about 10 seconds.
