WARNINGlWhen a person sits in the middle seating
position of the rear seat, pull up the head
restraint to a height at which it locks in position. Be sure to make this adjustment
before starting to drive. Serious injuries could otherwise be suffered as the result
of an impact. (Double cab)NOTEl The head restraint height of the outer seat in
the rear seat cannot be adjusted.
To remove
Lift the head restraint with the height adjust-
ing knob (A) pushed in.
To install
Confirm that the head restraint is facing the
correct direction, and then insert it into the seatback while pressing the height adjusting
knob (A) in the direction indicated by the ar-
row.
The head restraint stalk with the adjustment notches (B) must be installed in the hole withthe adjusting knob (A) (except head restraints
of the outer seat).
CAUTIONl Confirm that the height adjusting knob (A)
is correctly adjusted as shown in the illustra- tion, and also lift the head restraints to en- sure that they do not come out of the seat-back.CAUTIONl The shape and size of the head restraint dif-
fers according to the seat. Always use the
correct head restraint provided for the seat and do not install the head restraint in the
wrong direction.

Parking on a downhill slope
Turn the front wheels towards the kerb andmove the vehicle forward until the kerb side wheel gently touches the kerb.
On vehicles equipped with M/T, apply the
parking brake and place the gearshift lever into the “R” (Reverse) position.
On vehicles equipped with A/T, apply the
parking brake and place the selector lever in-
to the “P” (PARK) position.
If necessary, apply chocks to wheels.
Parking on an uphill slope
Turn the front wheels away from the kerband move the vehicle back until the kerb side wheel gently touches the kerb.
On vehicles equipped with M/T, apply the
parking brake and place the gearshift lever
into the 1 st
position.
On vehicles equipped with A/T, apply the
parking brake and place the selector lever in- to the “P” (PARK) position.
If necessary, apply chocks to wheels.
NOTEl If your vehicle is equipped with
A/T, be sure
to apply the parking brake before moving se- lector lever to the “P” (PARK) position. If
you move selector lever to the “P” (PARK) position before applying the parking brake,it may be difficult to disengage selector lev- er from the “P” (PARK) position when next
you drive the vehicle, requiring application of a strong force the selector lever to move
from the “P” (PARK) position.
Parking with the engine run-
ning
Never leave the engine running while you
take a short sleep/rest. Also, never leave the engine running in a closed or poorly ventila-
ted place.
WARNINGl Leaving the engine running risks injury
or death from accidentally moving the
gearshift lever (with M/T) or the selector
lever (with A/T) or the accumulation of
toxic exhaust fumes on the passenger

or leaves can come in contact with a hot exhaust, since a fire could occur.
When leaving the vehicle
Always carry the key and lock all doors when
leaving the vehicle unattended.
