Sliding sunroof reversing feature In the following section, the term "sliding sun-
roof" refers to the panorama roof with power
tilt/sliding panel.
The sliding sunroof is equipped with an auto-
matic reversing feature. If as olid object blocks
or restrict st he sliding sunroof during the closing
process, the sliding sunroof opens agai na uto-
matically .H owever, the automatic reversing
feature is only an aid and does not relieve you of
the responsibility of paying attention when clos-
ing the sliding sunroof.
G WARNING
The reversing feature does not react: R
to soft, light and thin objects, e.g. small fin-
gers R
over the last 1/6 in (4 mm) of the closing
movement R
during resetting R
when closing the sliding sunroof agai nm an-
ually immediately after automatic reversing
This means that the reversing feature cannot
prevent someone being trapped in these sit-
uations. There is ar isk of injury.
Make sure that no body parts are in close
proximity during the closing procedure.
If somebody becomes trapped: R

Rain-closing feature The rain-closing feature is only available for vehi-
cles with ar ain sensor.
When the SmartKey is in position Z in the igni-
tion lock or is removed, the sliding sunroof
closes automatically: R

The panorama roof with powe rt ilt/sliding panel
remains raise datt he rear in order to allow ven-
tilation of the vehicle interior.
If the panorama roof with powe rt ilt/sliding
panel is obstructed whil eb eing closed by the
rain-closing feature, it opens again slightly. The
rain-closing feature is then deactivated.
The panorama roof with powe rt ilt/sliding panel
does not close if: R
it is raise datt he rear.R
it is blocked. R
no rain is falling on the area of the windshield
being monitored by the rain sensor. If the
vehicle ,f or example ,isu nder ab ridge or in a
carport, the field of the sensor may be cov-
ered.

The rolle rs unblind shields the vehicle interior
from sunlight. The rolle rs unblind can only be
opened and closed when the panorama roof
with powe rt ilt/sliding panel is closed.
Rolle rs unblind reversin gf eatureThe rolle rs unblind is equipped with an auto-
matic reversing feature. If as olid object blocks
or restricts the rolle rs unblind during the closing
process, the rolle rs unblind opens again auto-
matically. The automatic reversing feature is
only an aid and is not as ubstitute for you ra tten-
tiveness when closing the rolle rs unblind.

G WARNING
If you do not reset the sliding sunroof after am alfunction or voltage supply interruption, then the
backing up function will malfunction or not work. The sliding sunroof closes with increased or
maximum force. Parts of the body could be trapped in the closing area in the process. This poses
an increased risk of injury or even fatal injury.
In such or similar situations always make sure that no parts of the body are in the closing area.
Always reset the sliding sunroof after am alfunction or voltage supply interruption.
! If the sliding sunroof still cannot be opened or closed as ar esult of am alfunction ,c ontact a
qualified specialist workshop.

Problems with the seat heating Problem

Switch off electrical consumers that you do not need, such as the

When leaving the vehicle, alway st ake the
SmartKey with you and lock the vehicle. Never
leave children unsupervised in the vehicle.
The memory function can be used at any time,
e.g. even when the SmartKey is not in the igni-
tion lock.
Storing settings With the memory function, you can store up to
three differen ts ettings, e.g. for three different
people.
