Do not place additional floor mats orany other covering on top of theoriginal floor mats. This could result in thefloor mat interfering with the operation of thepedals. Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in the loss of control of your vehicle,personal injury or death.
Always make sure that objects cannotfall into the driver foot well while yourvehicle is moving. Objects that are loose canbecome trapped under the pedals causinga loss of vehicle control.
To install the floor mats, position the floormat eyelet over the retention post and pressdown to lock in position.
To remove the floor mat, reverse theinstallation procedure.

5. Locate the vertical adjuster on eachheadlamp. Turn the adjuster eitherclockwise or counterclockwise in orderto aim the headlamp.
6.Close the hood and switch off the lamps.
Horizontal Aim Adjustment
Horizontal aim is not required for this vehicleand is non-adjustable.
REMOVING A HEADLAMP
To gain access to the headlamp securingbolts and to remove the headlamp assembly,you must first remove the front fascia andfront bumper assemblies. We recommendyou see an authorized dealer.
CHANGING A BULB
WARNINGS
Switch all of the lamps and the ignitionoff. Failure to follow this warning couldresult in serious personal injury.
Bulbs can become hot. Let the bulbcool down before removing it. Failureto do so could result in personal injury.
Install in the reverse order unless otherwisestated.
High Intensity Discharge Headlamp (If
Equipped)
These lamps operate at a high voltage. Seean authorized dealer if they fail.
Front Direction Indicator
1. Remove the headlamp. See Removinga Headlamp (page 300).
2. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwiseand remove it.
3.Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.
LED Lamps
LED lamps are not serviceable items. See anauthorized dealer if they fail.
The following lamps are LED:
•Side direction indicators.
•Approach lamp.

The tires on your vehicle have all-weathertreads to provide traction in rain and snow.However, in some climates, you may needto use snow tires and cables. If you need touse cables, it is recommended that steelwheels (of the same size and specifications)be used, as cables may chip aluminumwheels.
Follow these guidelines when using snowtires and traction devices
•If possible, avoid fully loading yourvehicle
•Purchase chains or cables from amanufacturer that clearly labels body totire dimension restrictions.
•Use 10 mm cables or chains only on frontaxle with 235/50R18 tires.
•Not all S-class snow chains or cablesmeet these restrictions. Chains of thissize restriction will include a tensioningdevice.
•The snow chains or cables must bemounted in pairs on the front axle.
•Do not use chains or cables on235/45R19, 245/45R19 and 255/40R20tires.
•Install cables securely, verifying that thecables do not touch any wiring, brakelines or fuel lines.
•When driving with tire cables do notexceed 30 mph (48 km/h) or themaximum speed recommended by thechain manufacturer, whichever is less.
•Drive cautiously. If you hear the cablesrub or bang against the vehicle, stop andretighten them. If this does not work,remove the cables to prevent vehicledamage.
•Remove the cables when they are nolonger needed. Do not use cables on dryroads.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING
SYSTEM
WARNING
The tire pressure monitoring system isnot a substitute for manually checkingtire pressures. You should periodically checktire pressures using a pressure gauge.Failure to correctly maintain tire pressurescould increase the risk of tire failure, loss ofcontrol, vehicle rollover and personal injury.
Note: You should only use tire sealants inroadside emergencies as they may causedamage to the tire pressure monitoringsystem sensor.
Note: If the tire pressure monitoring systemsensor becomes damaged, it may notfunction.

Wheels and Tires
When driving with the full-size dissimilarspare wheel and tire assembly, do not:
•Exceed 70 mph (113 km/h).
•Use more than one dissimilar sparewheel and tire assembly at a time.
•Use commercial car washing equipment.
•Use snow chains on the end of thevehicle with the dissimilar spare wheeland tire assembly.
The usage of a full-size dissimilar sparewheel and tire assembly can lead toimpairment of the following:
•Handling, stability and brakingperformance.
•Comfort and noise.
•Ground clearance and parking at curbs.
•Winter weather driving capability.
•Wet weather driving capability.
•All-wheel driving capability
When driving with the full-size dissimilarspare wheel and tire assembly additionalcaution should be given to:
•Towing a trailer.
•Driving vehicles equipped with a camperbody.
•Driving vehicles with a load on the cargorack.
Drive cautiously when using a full-sizedissimilar spare wheel and tire assembly andseek service as soon as possible.
Tire Change Procedure
WARNINGS
When one of the front wheels is off theground, the transmission alone will notprevent the vehicle from moving or slippingoff the jack, even if the transmission is in park(P).
WARNINGS
To help prevent your vehicle frommoving when changing a wheel, shiftthe transmission into park (P), set the parkingbrake and use an appropriate block or wheelchock to secure the wheel diagonallyopposite to the wheel being changed. Forexample, when changing the front left wheel,place an appropriate block or wheel chockon the right rear wheel.
Do not attempt to change a tire on theside of the vehicle close to movingtraffic. Pull far enough off the road to avoidthe danger of being hit when operating thejack or changing the wheel.
Always use the jack provided asoriginal equipment with your vehicle.If using a jack other than the one provided,make sure the jack capacity is adequate forthe vehicle weight, including any vehiclecargo or modifications. If you are unsure ifthe jack capacity is adequate, contact theauthorized dealer.
Do not get under a vehicle that is onlysupported by a vehicle jack.
