Mobile Apps
You can enable the control of compatiblemobile apps running on your Bluetooth orUSB device on SYNC 3. In order to enablemobile apps, SYNC 3 requires user consentto send and receive app authorizationinformation and updates using the data planassociated with the connected device.
The connected devices send data to FordMotor Company in the United States. Theencrypted information includes your VIN,SYNC 3 module number, anonymous usagestatistics and debugging information.Updates may take place.
Note:Not all Mobile Apps are compatiblewith the system.
Note:Standard data rates will apply. FordMotor Company is not responsible for anyadditional charges you may receive fromyour service provider, when your vehiclesends or receives data through theconnected device.

Ambient Lighting (If Equipped)
Tap a color once to active ambient lighting.This sets the color to the highest intensity.
You can drag the colors up and down toincrease or decrease the intensity.
To switch ambient lighting off, press theactive color once or drag the active color allthe way down to zero intensity.

Door Keypad Code
Select this button to add or erase a personaldoor keypad code. To add or erase apersonal code, you first need to enter thefive-digit factory set code. You can find thiscode on the owner's wallet card in the glovebox or from your authorized dealer.

Cell phone issues

Wi-Fi Issues

Software download takestoo long.
Test the connection with another device, if the hotspot requires asubscription, you may contact the service provider.It is possible that there is no new soft-ware. The connected hotspot may be amanaged one and it requires either asubscription or agreeing to the terms andconditions.
SYNC 3 seems to connectwith a hotspot and thesignal strength is excellentbut the software is notbeing updated.

Failure to perform scheduled maintenanceinvalidates warranty coverage on partsaffected by the lack of maintenance.
