At a Glance
Window Lock
Press the control to lock or unlock the rearwindow controls. It illuminates when youlock the rear window controls.
Accessory Delay
You can use the window switches for severalminutes after you switch the ignition off oruntil you open either front door.
GLOBAL OPENING AND CLOSING
You can use the remote control to operatethe windows with the ignition off.
Note:You can enable or disable this featurein the information display or see anauthorized dealer. See General Information(page 115).
Note:To operate this feature, accessorydelay must not be active.
Opening the Windows
You can only open the windows for a shorttime after you unlock your vehicle with theremote control. After you unlock your vehicle,press and hold the remote control unlockbutton to open the windows. Release thebutton once movement starts. Press the lockor unlock button to stop movement.
Closing the Windows
WARNING: When closing the powerwindows, you should verify they are free ofobstructions and make sure that children andpets are not in the proximity of the windowopenings.
To close the windows, press and hold theremote control lock button. Release thebutton once movement starts. Press the lockor unlock button to stop movement.

WARNING: Do not adjust the mirrorswhen your vehicle is moving. This couldresult in the loss of control of your vehicle,serious personal injury or death.

A control is on the overhead console and onthe rear seat armrest bezel.
Press and release the control to open orclose the sun shade. To stop motion andreturn the sun shade to its previous position,press the control a second time.
The sun shade automatically retracts whenyou shift the transmission into reverse (R).
MOONROOF (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not let children playwith the moonroof or leave them unattendedin the vehicle. They may seriously hurtthemselves.
WARNING: When closing themoonroof, you should verify that it is free ofobstructions and make sure that children andpets are not in the proximity of the roofopening.
The moonroof controls are located on theoverhead console and have a one-touchopen and close feature. To stop itsmovement during one-touch operation, pressthe control a second time.

Sunshade open. Press and releaseto open the sunshade. Thesunshade opens automatically withthe moonroof. You can also openthe sunshade with the moonroofclosed.

Bounce-Back
The moonroof automatically reverses somedistance if an obstacle is detected whileclosing.
To override this feature, press and hold themoonroof close control within two secondsafter the roof comes to a stop following abounce-back reversal.

HEATED WINDOWS AND MIRRORS
Note:Make sure the engine is runningbefore operating the heated windows.
Note:Depending on your remote startsettings, the heated windows, mirrors andwipers may remain on after remote startingthe vehicle.
Heated Rear Window
Press the button to clear theheated rear window of thin ice andfog. The heated rear window turnsoff after a short period of time. Press thebutton again to switch it off. It illuminateswhen you switch the system on.
Note: Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decals fromthe inside of the heated rear window. Thevehicle warranty does not cover damagecaused to the heated rear window grid lines.
Heated Exterior Mirrors (If Equipped)
When you switch the heated rear windowon, the heated exterior mirrors turn on.
Note:Do not remove ice from the mirrorswith a scraper or adjust the mirror glasswhen it is frozen in place.
Note:Do not clean the mirror housing orglass with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum-based cleaning products.

Windshield Wiper De-icer (If Equipped)
The windshield wiper de-icer turns on in lowtemperatures or when you manually switchthe heated rear window on.
CABIN AIR FILTER
Your vehicle is equipped with a cabin airfilter, which gives you and your passengersthe following benefits:
•It improves your driving comfort byreducing particle and odor concentration.
•It improves the interior compartmentcleanliness.
•It protects the climate controlcomponents from particle deposits.
You can locate the cabin air filter behind theglove box.
Note:Make sure you have a cabin air filterinstalled at all times. This prevents foreignobjects from entering the system. Runningthe system without a filter in place couldresult in degradation or damage to thesystem.
Replace the filter at regular intervals. SeeScheduled Maintenance (page 523).
For additional cabin air filter information, orto replace the filter, see a qualifiedtechnician.
REMOTE START
The system adjusts the interior temperaturedepending on your chosen settings duringremote start.
You cannot adjust the climate control settingduring remote start operation. When youswitch the ignition on, the climate controlsystem returns to the previous settings. Youcan now make adjustments.
Some features may remain on if they turn onduring remote start:
•Driver heated seat.
•Driver ventilated seat.
•Heated steering wheel.
•Heated mirrors.
•Heated rear window.
•Windshield wiper de-icer.
Note:If the passenger heated or ventilatedseats are on when you switch the vehicleoff, they default to the driver setting whenyou switch the vehicle on.
You can adjust the default remote startsettings using the information displaycontrols. See Information Displays (page115).
Automatic Settings
In hot weather, the system sets to 72°F(22°C). The ventilated seats set to high (ifavailable, and if you select AUTO in theinformation display).
In moderate weather, the system heats orcools (based on pre-selected settings). Therear defroster, heated mirrors and heated orventilated seats do not turn on.
In cold weather, the system sets to 72°F(22°C). The heated seats and heated steeringwheel set to high (if available, and if youselect AUTO in the information display). Therear defroster and heated mirrors turn on.
