*1: These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode toindicate that a system check is being perfor med. They will turn off after the engine is
on, or after a few seconds. There may be a ma lfunction in a system if the lights do not
turn on, or turn off. Have the vehi cle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*2: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*3: The light turns on when the system is turn ed off. The light flashes quickly to indicate
that the system is operating.
*4: In order to confirm operation, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators illumi- nate in the following situations:
• When the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode while the system is set to on.
• When the system is set to on while the engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
If the system is functioning correctly, th e BSM outside rear view mirror indicators
will turn off after a few seconds.
If the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators do not illuminate or do not turn off,
there may be a malfunction with the system.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

light not come on when you start the engine, this could mean that these systems are not
available to help protect you in an accide nt, which could result in death or serious

■The meters and display illuminate when
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■Instrument cluster brightness adjustment
The instrument cluster brightness levels when the tail lights are on and off can be
adjusted.
■The brightness of the in strument cluster lights
When the tail lights are on, the brightness will change. Ho wever, when the surroundings
are bright (daytime, etc.) turn ing on the tail lights will not change the instrument cluster
brightness.
In addition, the brightness of the instrument cluster lights is automatically adjusted based
on the light sensor detecting ho w bright the surroundings are.
■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The trip meter data will be reset.
If the trip meter was displayed last, the od ometer will be displayed after resetting.
■Customization
Setting of sensitivity of the ambient light sensor used for dimming the meter lights can be
changed. (Customizable features: →P. 594)
NOTICE
■To prevent damage to the engine and its components
●Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which indicates
the maximum engine speed.
●The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is in the red
zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, and check the
engine after it has cooled completely. (→ P. 564)

Menu switch
Changes modes to electronic features

“ENTER” switch
Changes trip information items. This
switch is also used to turn on/off elec-
tronic features controls and to change
customization settings.
Trip information items displayed can be switched by pressing the “ENTER”
switch upwards or downwards.
■Outside temperature
Displays the outside temperature
• The temperature range that can be displayed is from -40°F (-40°C) to 122°F (50°C).
• When the outside temperature drops below 37°F (3°C), the outside temperature
display flashes several times.
■Front tire angle
The direction of the front tires is displayed
The tire direction is displaye d in 3 stages for both left and right, in accordance with
the angle of the tire.
■Driving range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with the quantity
of fuel remaining
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As a result, the actual distance that can be driv en may differ from that displayed.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may not be
updated.
• When refueling, turn the engi ne switch off. If the vehicle is refueled without turning
the engine switch off, the display may not be updated.
■Average fuel consumption after refueling
Displays the average fuel consumption since the vehicle was last refueled
Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a reference.
■Current fuel consumption
Displays the current rate of fuel consumption
