• Some noises may be heard whenoperating the steering in low tem-
peratures. When the temperature
rises, the noise will disappear. This
is a normal condition.
• The steering effort may become heavy when the charging system
warning light comes on.Tilt & telescopic steering
A tilt steering wheel allows you to
adjust the steering wheel before you
drive. You can also raise it to give
your legs more room when you exit
and enter the vehicle (if equipped).
The steering wheel should be posi-
tioned so that it is comfortable for
you to drive, while permitting you to
see the instrument panel warning
lights and gauges. To change the steering wheel angle,
pull down the lock release lever (1),
adjust the steering wheel to the
desired angle (2) and height (if
equipped) (3), then pull up the lock-
release lever to lock the steering
wheel in place. Be sure to adjust the
steering wheel to the desired posi-
tion before driving.
WARNING - Steering
Never adjust the angle and height of steering wheel while
driving. You may lose your
steering control and cause
severe personal injury or acci-
dents.
After adjusting, push the steering wheel both up and
down to be certain it is locked
in position.

Heated steering wheel
(if equipped)
With the ignition switch in the ON
position, pressing the heated steer-
ing wheel button warms the steering
wheel. The indicator on the button
will illuminate and notify you on the
LCD display.
To turn the heated steering wheel off,
press the button once again. The
indicator on the button will turn off
and notify you on the LCD display.

NOTICE
• The heated steering wheel will turn
off automatically approximately 30
minutes after the heated steering
wheel is turned on.
• If you turn on the ignition again after turning off your engine in half
an hour (after operating heater
button), the heating system will be
maintained in its 'on' condition.CAUTION
Do not install any grip to oper-
ate the steering wheel. Thiscauses damage to the heatedsteering wheel system.
When cleaning the heated steering wheel, do not use anorganic solvent such as paintthinner, benzene, alcohol andgasoline. Doing so may dam-age the surface of the steeringwheel.
If the surface of the steering wheel is damaged by a sharpobject, damage to the heatedsteering wheel componentscould occur.

Horn
To sound the horn, press the area
indicated by the horn symbol on your
steering wheel (see illustration). The
horn will operate only when this area
is pressed.
Check the horn regularly to be sure it
operates properly.
CAUTION
Do not strike the horn severe-ly to operate it, or hit it withyour fist. Do not press on thehorn with a sharp-pointedobject.
When cleaning the steering wheel, do not use an organicsolvent such as thinner, ben-zene, alcohol or gasoline.Doing so may damage thesteering wheel.

This mode informs of warning messages related to
washer fluid or malfunction of Blind Spot Detection
system (BSD) and so on.
When the any door is not closed securely, this symbol is
illuminated.
User SettingsIn this mode, you can change settings of the doors,
lamps and so on.

Seat Easy Access
(if equipped)
None: The seat easy access function will be deactivated.
Normal/Extended:
- When you turn off the engine, the driver’s seat will automatically move rearward short(Normal) or long (Extended) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
- If you change the Engine Start/Stop button from the OFF position to the ACC, ON, or START position, the driver’s seat will return to the original position.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in chapter 3.
Steering PositionIf this item is checked, the warning function regarding the steering wheel alignment will be activated.
Wiper/Lights DisplayIf this item is checked, LCD display shows a selected wiper/light mode whenever you changed

Warning Messages
Shift to P (for smart key system)
This warning message illuminates
if you try to turn off the engine with-
out the shift lever in P (Park) posi-
tion.
At this time, the Engine Start/Stop Button turns to the ACC position (If
you press the Engine Start/Stop
Button once more, it will turn to the
ON position).
Low Key Battery
(for smart key system)
This warning message illuminates if the battery of the smart key is
discharged when the Engine Start/
Stop Button changes to the OFF
position.
Press START (POWER) button

It means that you should turn the steering wheel and make the angle

This warning message illuminateson the service reminder menu if
the washer fluid level in the reser-
voir is nearly empty.
It means that you should refill the washer fluid.
Low Fuel
This warning message illuminatesif the fuel tank is nearly empty.

- When the trip computer displays "--- km (or mile)" as distance to
