Safe Driving
■When front airbags should not deploy
Minor frontal crashes: Front airbags were designed to supplement seat belts and
help save lives, not to prevent minor scrapes, or even broken bones that might occur
during a less than moderate-to-severe frontal crash.
Side impacts: Front airbags can provide protection when a sudden deceleration
causes a driver or front passenger to move towards the front of the vehicle. Side
airbags and side curtain airbag s have been specifically designed to help reduce the
severity of injuries that can occur durin g a moderate-to-severe side impact which
can cause the driver or passenger to move towards the side of the vehicle.
Rear impacts: Head restraints and seat belts are your best protection during a rear
impact. Front airbags cannot provide any si gnificant protection and are not designed
to deploy in such collisions.
Rollovers: In a rollover, your best form of protection is a seat belt or, if your vehicle
is equipped with a rollover sensor, both a se at belt and a side curtain airbag. Front
airbags, however, are not designed to deploy in a rollover as they would provide
little if any protection.
■When front airbags deploy with little or no visible damage
Because the airbag system senses sudden deceleration, a strong impact to the
vehicle framework or suspension might caus e one or more of the airbags to deploy.
Examples include running into a curb, the edge of a hole, or other low fixed object

respectively be considered part of the SOFTWARE or SERVICES and su bject to this AGREEMENT. WE reserve the right at any time and from
time to time to interrupt, restrict, modi fy, suspend, discontinue, temporarily or pe rmanently, the SOFTWARE or SERVICES (or any portion
thereof), with or without notice to you, and you agree that HONDA shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modi fication,
suspension or discontinuance of the SOFTWARE or SERVICES.
M. ARBITRATION:
PLEASE READ THIS ARBITRATION PROVISION CAREFULLY TO UNDE RSTAND YOUR RIGHTS. YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIM THAT YOU

conditions of our agreement. YOU and HONDA agree and acknowledg e that this Agreement affects interstate commerce and the
Federal Arbitration Act (“FAA”) applies. By us ing the Software, Vehicle, or Services, YOU elect to have disputes resolved by arbitration.
YOU, HONDA or any invo lved third party may pursue a Claim. “Claim” means any dispute between YOU, HONDA, or any involved third
party relating to your use of the Software , the Vehicle, or the Services, this Agreement, or our relationship, including any
representations, omissions or warranties. “Claim” does not include personal injury or wrongful death claims. YOU or HONDA may s eek
remedies in small claims court or provisio nal judicial remedies without arbitrating. In addition, notwithstanding anything here in to the
contrary, YOU or HONDA may seek equitable relie f in a court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU or HONDA may select arbitration with American Arbitration Asso ciation, JAMS or National Arbitration and Mediation. Contact
these sponsors for their ru les. The hearing will be in the federal district wh ere YOU reside. If agreed, it may be by telephone or written
submissions. Filing and arbitrator fees to be paid per the sponsor rules. You may contact the sponsor for a fee waiver. If no f ee waivers,
HONDA will pay filing and arbitrator fees up to $5,000, unless law requires more. Each party is responsible for other fees. Arb itrator
may award costs or fees to prev ailing party, if permitted by law. HONDA will not seek fees, unless the claims are frivolous.

uuWhen Driving uAdaptive Cruise Control (ACC)*

The system may automatically shut off and the ACC indicator will come on under
certain conditions. Some examples of thes e conditions are listed below. Other
conditions may reduce some of the ACC functions.

■Environmental conditions
Driving in bad weather (r ain, fog, snow, etc.).
■Roadway conditions
Driving on a snowy or wet roadway (obscure d lane marking, vehicle tracks, reflected
lights, road spra y, high contrast).
■Vehicle conditions
• The outside of the windshield is blocked by dirt, mud, leaves, wet snow, etc.
• An abnormal tire or wheel condition (wro ng sized, varied size or construction,
improperly inflated, co mpact spare tire, etc.).
• The camera temperature gets too high.
• The parking brake is applied.
• When the front grille is dirty.
• The vehicle is tilted due to a heavy load or suspension modifications.
• When tire chains are installed.
■ACC Conditions and Limitations1ACC Conditions and Limitations
Always keep the radar sensor cover clean.
Never use chemical solvents or polishing powder for
cleaning the sensor cover. Clean it with water or a
mild detergent.
Do not put a sticker on the radar sensor cover or
replace the radar sensor cover.
If you need the radar sensor to be repaired, or
removed, or the radar sensor cover is strongly
impacted, turn off the system by pressing the MAIN
button and take your vehicle to a dealer.
Have your vehicle checked by a dealer if you find any
unusual behavior of the system (e.g., the warning
message appears too frequently).
If the front of the vehicle is impacted in any of the
following situations, the ra dar sensor may not work
properly. Have your vehi cle checked by a dealer:
•The vehicle mounted onto a bump, curb, chock,
embankment, etc.
•You drive the vehicle where the water is deep.
•Your vehicle has a frontal collision.

LaneWatchTM*
LaneWatch is an assistance system that allows you to check the passenger side rear
areas displayed on the audio/in formation screen when the turn signal is activated to
the passenger’s side. A camera in the passenger side door mirror monitors these
areas and allows you to check for vehicles, in addition to your visual check and use
of the passenger door mirror. You can also keep the system on for your convenience
while driving.

Important Safety Reminder
Like all assistance systems, LaneWatch has
limitations. Over reliance on LaneWatch may result in
a collision.
The LaneWatch function can be affected by weather,
lighting (including headli ghts and low sun angle),
ambient darkness, camera condition, and loading.
The LaneWatch may not prov ide the intended display
of traffic to the side and rear under the following
conditions:
•Your vehicle’s suspension has been altered,
changing the height of the vehicle.
•Your tires are over or under inflated.•Your tires or wheels are of varied size or
construction.
3WARNING
Failure to visually confirm that it is safe to
change lanes before doing so may result in
a crash and serious injury or death.
Do not rely only on LaneWatch while
driving.
Always look in your mi rrors, to either side
of your vehicle, and behind you for other
vehicles before changing lanes.
