
Programming a Spare Remote ControlWith a Folding Key Blade
You can program your own integratedkeyhead transmitter or standardSecuriLock coded keys to your vehicle.This procedure will program both thevehicle immobilizer keycode and theremote entry portion of the remote controlto your vehicle.
You must have two previouslyprogrammed coded keys and the newunprogrammed key readily accessible.
Contact an authorized dealer to have thespare key programmed if two previouslyprogrammed keys are not available.
Make sure that the ignition is switched offbefore beginning this procedure. Carry outall steps within 30 seconds of starting thesequence. Stop and wait for at least oneminute before starting again if you carryout any steps out of sequence.
Note:You can program a maximum of fourcoded keys to your vehicle.
Read and understand the entire procedurebefore you begin.
1.Insert the first previously programmedcoded key into the ignition.
2.Switch the ignition from off to on. Keepthe ignition on for at least 3 seconds,but no more than 10 seconds.
3.Switch the ignition off and remove thefirst coded key from the ignition.
4.After at least 3 seconds but within 10seconds of switching the ignition off,insert the second previously coded keyinto the ignition.
5.Switch the ignition from off to on. Keepthe ignition on for at least 3 seconds,but no more than 10 seconds.
6.Switch the ignition off and remove thesecond previously programmed codedkey from the ignition.
7.After at least 3 seconds but within 10seconds of switching the ignition offand removing the previouslyprogrammed coded key, insert the newunprogrammed key into the ignition.
8.Switch the ignition from off to on. Keepthe ignition on for at least six seconds.
9.Remove the newly programmed codedkey from the ignition.
If you have successfully programmed thecoded key, it will start your vehicle andoperate the remote entry system.
If programming was unsuccessful, wait 10seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 8.
If programming remains unsuccessful,have your vehicle checked by an authorizeddealer.
Wait 20 seconds and repeat Steps 1through 9 to program an additional key.
Programming a Spare IntelligentAccess Key
Note:You can program a maximum of fourkeys to your vehicle.
You must have two previouslyprogrammed intelligent access keys insideyour vehicle and the new unprogrammedintelligent access key readily accessible.You can purchase replacement keys orremote controls from an authorized dealer.
Make sure that the ignition is switched offbefore beginning this procedure. Make surethat you close all the doors beforebeginning and that they remain closedthroughout the procedure. Carry out allsteps within 30 seconds of starting thesequence. Stop and wait for at least oneminute before starting again if you carryout any steps out of sequence.
Read and understand the entire procedurebefore you begin.
Remove the key blade from thetransmitter.

If the alarm is triggered, the alarm horn willsound for 30 seconds and the hazardwarning flasher will flash for five minutes.
Any further attempts to perform one of theabove will trigger the alarm again.
Arming the Alarm
With ignition OFF and doors closed, lockthe vehicle via Remote Control or exteriordoor handle. Alarm will be armed after 20seconds.
Arming the alarm can also be achieved bylocking the vehicle using the trim switcheswhile a side door is open and closing alldoors, or using the driver's door cylinder.In these two last cases, alarm will bearmed after 20 seconds.
Note:Alarm will arm due to an auto-relock.See Doors and Locks (page 54).
Disarming the Alarm
Vehicles Without Intelligent AccessSystem
Disarm and silence the alarm by unlockingthe doors with the key and switching yourvehicle on with a correctly coded key orunlocking the doors with the remotecontrol.
Vehicles with Intelligent AccessSystem
Note:A valid intelligent access key mustbe located within the detection range ofthat door for entry.
Disarm the alarm by performing aintelligent access entry, or switching yourvehicle on, or unlocking the vehicle withthe remote control.
Disarm the alarm by performing a keylessentry, or switching your vehicle on, orunlocking the vehicle with the remotecontrol.

DIRECTION INDICATORS
Push the lever up or down to use thedirection indicators.
Note:Tap the lever up or down to make thedirection indicators flash three times toindicate a lane change.
INTERIOR LAMPS

If you set the switch to position B, thecourtesy lamp will come on when youunlock or open a door or the luggagecompartment lid. If you leave a door openwith the ignition switch off, the courtesylamp will go off automatically after sometime to prevent the vehicle battery fromdischarging. To switch it back on, switchon the ignition for a short time.
The courtesy lamp will also come on whenyou switch off the ignition. It will go offautomatically after a short time or whenyou start or restart the engine.
If you set the switch to position C with theignition switch off, the courtesy lamp willcome on. It will go off automatically aftera short time to prevent the vehicle batteryfrom discharging. To switch it back on,switch on the ignition for a short time.
Reading lamps
Press the buttons to switch the readinglamps on and off.

1.Lift and hold the switch until thewindow is fully closed.
2.Hold the switch for a few seconds.
3.Release the switch.
4.Open the window and then try to closeit automatically.
5.Repeat the procedure if the windowdoes not close automatically.
Window Lock
Press the control to lock or unlock the rearwindow controls. It will illuminate whenyou lock the rear window controls.
Accessory Delay
You can use the window switches forseveral minutes after you switch theignition off or until you open either frontdoor.

Integrated Blind Spot Mirrors (If

Note:Objects in the blind spot mirror arecloser than they appear.
Blind spot mirrors have an integratedconvex mirror built into the upper outboardcorner of the exterior mirrors. They canincrease your visibility along the side ofyour vehicle.
Check the main mirror first before a lanechange, then check the blind spot mirror.If the blind spot mirror does not show anyvehicles in its viewing area and the trafficin the adjacent lane is at a safe distance,signal that you intend to change lanes.Glance over your shoulder to verify trafficis clear and carefully change lanes.

The image of the approaching vehicle issmall and near the inboard edge of themain mirror when it is at a distance. Theimage becomes larger and begins to moveoutboard across the main mirror as thevehicle approaches (A). The image willtransition from the main mirror and beginto appear in the blind spot mirror as thevehicle approaches (B). The vehicle willtransition to your peripheral field of viewas it leaves the blind spot mirror (C).
INTERIOR MIRROR
WARNING
Do not adjust the mirrors when yourvehicle is moving. This could resultin the loss of control of your vehicle,serious personal injury or death.
Note:Do not clean the housing or glass ofany mirror with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum or ammonia-based cleaningproducts.
You can adjust the interior mirror to yourpreference. Some mirrors also have asecond pivot point. This lets you move themirror head up or down and from side toside.
Pull the tab below the mirror toward youto reduce glare at night.
Auto-Dimming Mirror (If Equipped)
Note:Do not block the sensors on the frontand back of the mirror. Mirror performancemay be affected. A rear center passenger orraised rear center head restraint may alsoblock light from reaching the sensor.
The mirror will dim automatically to reduceglare when bright lights are detected frombehind your vehicle. It will automaticallyreturn to normal reflection when you selectreverse gear to make sure you have a clearview when backing up.
MOONROOF (If Equipped)
WARNINGS
Do not leave children unattended inyour vehicle and do not let them playwith the moonroof. Failure to followthis instruction could result in personalinjury.
When closing the moonroof, verifythat it is free of obstruction andmake sure that children and pets arenot in the proximity of the roof opening.
The sunscreen can be manually opened orclosed when the glass panel is closed.
The moonroof control is located on theoverhead console.

Anti-Lock Brake System WarningLamp
If it illuminates when you aredriving, this indicates amalfunction. Your vehiclecontinues to have normal braking withoutthe anti-lock brake system function. It alsoilluminates momentarily when you switchthe ignition on to confirm the lamp isfunctional. If it does not illuminate whenyou switch the ignition on, or begins toflash at any time, have the system checkedby an authorized dealer. Have your vehiclechecked as soon as possible.
Brake System Warning Lamp
WARNING
Driving your vehicle with the warninglamp on is dangerous. A significantdecrease in braking performancemay occur. It may take you longer to stopyour vehicle. Have your vehicle checked assoon as possible. Driving extendeddistances with the parking brake engagedcan cause brake failure and the risk ofpersonal injury.
It illuminates when you engagethe parking brake and theignition is on.
If it illuminates when your vehicle ismoving, make sure the parking brake isdisengaged. If the parking brake isdisengaged, this indicates low brake fluidlevel or a brake system fault. It alsoilluminates momentarily when you switchthe ignition on to confirm the lamp isfunctional. If it does not illuminate whenyou switch the ignition on, or begins toflash at any time, have the system checkedby an authorized dealer. Have your vehiclechecked immediately.
Direction Indicator
Flashes during operation. Anincrease in the rate of flashingwarns of a failed indicator bulb.
Fasten Seatbelt Warning Lamp
It illuminates and a chimesounds until you fasten theseatbelts.
Front Fog Lamp Indicator (If Equipped)
It illuminates when you switchthe front fog lamps on.
Headlamp High Beam Indicator
It illuminates when you switchthe headlamp high beam on.
Batterry
It illuminates when you switchthe ignition on.
If it illuminates when the engineis running this indicates a malfunction.
Switch off all unnecessary electricalequipment. Have your vehicle checkedas soon as possible.
Parking Lamps
It will illuminate when you switchthe parking lamps on.
Low Fuel Level Warning Lamp
If it illuminates when you aredriving, refuel as soon aspossible.

Instantaneous Fuel (If Equipped)
Indicates the current fuel consumption.
Distance to Empty
Indicates the approximate distance yourvehicle will travel on the fuel remaining inthe tank. Changes in driving pattern maycause the value to vary.
Outside Air Temperature
Shows the outside air temperature.
Trip Odometer
Registers the distance traveled ofindividual journeys.
Trip Timer
Registers the elapsed time of individualjourneys or the total time since the functionwas last reset.
