IMPORTANT Activating the front door
handle causes the opening of all doors
and the rear door. The LED will switch
off subsequently to the opening of any
door.
LOCKING/UNLOCKING
DOORS FROM THE
OUTSIDE
Locking from the outside
With the doors closed, press the
"
FIAT" button on the key or fit and then
turn its metal insert in the driver's door
lock.
The door lock can anyway be activated
with all doors locked and the rear flap
open (for versions/markets, where
provided). Once the
"FIAT" button
on the key is pressed, all locks are
closed, including the one for the open
rear flap. When the open rear flap is
closed, it will be locked and can no
longer be opened from outside.

Door unlocking from the outside
Press the
button on the key or turn
its metal insert in the driver's door lock.Door opening/closing mechanism
initialisation
If the battery is disconnected or the
protection fuse blows, the door
opening/closing mechanism must be
initialised as follows:
close all the doors;
press thebutton on the remote
control;
press thebutton on the remote
control.
CHILD SAFETY DEVICE

This system prevents the rear doors
from being opened from the inside.
This device 2 fig. 6 can be engaged
only with the doors open:
position A: device engaged (door
locked);
position B: device not engaged
(door may be opened from the inside).The device remains engaged even if the
doors are electrically unlocked.
IMPORTANT The rear doors cannot be
opened from the inside when the child
safety device is engaged.
Passenger side front door and rear
door emergency locking device
Used to lock the doors when there is no
electrical power supply. Insert the metal
insert of the ignition key in position
1 indicated in fig. 6 (passenger side
front door) or 1 fig. 7 (rear doors) and
then turn the key clockwise and then
remove it from position 1.

IMPORTANT
5)Never use the windscreen wipers to
remove layers of snow or ice from the
windscreen. In such conditions, the
windscreen wiper may be subjected to
excessive stress and the motor cut-out
switch, which prevents operation for a few
seconds, may intervene. If operation is not
subsequently restored, even after restarting
the engine, contact a Fiat Dealership.
6)Do not operate the windscreen wiper
with the blades lifted from the windscreen.
7)Do not activate the rain sensor when
washing the car in an automatic car wash.
8)Make sure the device is switched off if
there is ice on the windscreen.

DIFFUSERS
Adjustable air diffusers
They are located at the sides
fig. 31 and at the centre fig. 32 of the
dashboard.
To use them:
adjust the central device 1 to direct
the air flow where required;
turn wheel 2 to adjust / close the air
flow.
Fixed air vents
In addition, the fixed vents 3 fig. 31,
which direct the air upwards and
towards the side windows, are
available. The system is completed by
the fixed central vent, located at the
bottom of the windscreen and by the
vents, which direct the air towards the
feet of the front and rear passengers.

WARNING
28)It is absolutely forbidden to carry out
any after-market operation involving
steering system or steering column
modifications (e.g. installation of anti-theft
device) that could adversely affect
performance, invalidate the warranty, cause
serious safety problems and also result in
the car not meeting type-approval
requirements.
29)Before performing any maintenance
operations, always turn off the engine and
remove the key from the ignition to lock the
steering column (especially when the car
wheels are not touching the ground). If this
is not possible (for example if the key
needs to be turned to MAR or the engine
must be running), remove the main fuse
that protects the electric power steering.
BOOT
9)
IMPORTANT When travelling, do not
put any object on the rear parcel shelf
because they can injure passengers in
the event of an accident or sudden
braking.
OPENING
30)
Rear flap opening
When the central locking system is
unlocked, the rear boot flap can be
opened from outside the car using the
electric opening handle (where
provided) fig. 44 located under the
handle until the unlocking click is heard
or by pressing the
fig. 43 button on
the dashboard.The roof light inside the luggage
compartment will turn on when the rear
flap is opened; the roof light will
automatically switch off when the rear
flap is closed (see also "Interior lights").
If the rear flap is left open, the roof light
will automatically switch off to preserve
the battery charge.
Emergency opening from inside
Proceed as follows:
For versions with folding rear seat
backrests:
lower the head restraints and fold the
backrests;

to mechanically release the rear flap,
using a screwdriver or the metal key
insert, operate the lever in the point
indicated in fig. 45 and release the lock.
For versions with fixed rear seat
backrests:
pull the cable located on the left side
below the rear seat cushion in fig. 46.
CLOSING
To close the rear flap, lower it onto the
lock until you hear it click.
IMPORTANT Before closing the rear
flap make sure that you have the keys,
since the rear flap is automatically
locked.
INITIALISATION
IMPORTANT If the battery is
disconnected or the protective fuse
blows, the rear flap opening/closing
mechanism must be reinitialised as
follows:
close all the doors and the rear flap;
press the"FIAT" button on the
remote control;
press thebutton on the remote
control.
REAR POWER SOCKET(where provided)
This is located on the left-hand side of
the boot. This operation is possible only
with the key turned to MAR.
WARNING
30)Be careful not to hit objects on the
storage shelf when you open the rear boot
flap.
IMPORTANT
9)The dimensions of the platform permit a
maximum distributed weight capacity of
50 kg: do not load objects with a greater
weight.

amberEXTERIOR LIGHTS FAILURE
The symbol switches on to indicate a failure on the following lights: daytime running lights
(DRLs); parking lights; side lights; direction indicators; rear fog light; reversing light; number
plate lights.
The anomaly may be caused by a blown bulb, a blown protection fuse or an interruption of the
electrical connection.
amberFUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAILURE
The symbol switches on in the event of fuel level sensor failure. Contact a Fiat Dealership.
amberLPG FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAILURE
The symbol switches on in the event of LPG fuel level sensor failure. Contact a Fiat Dealership.
amberPOSSIBLE ICE ON ROAD
The symbol turns on when the outside temperature falls to or below 3°C.
IMPORTANT In the event of outside temperature sensor failure, the digits that indicate the value
are replaced by dashes.
amberDUSK SENSOR FAILURE
The symbol switches on along with a message on the display in the event of dusk sensor
failure. Contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
amberAUDIO SYSTEM FAILURE
The symbol switches on to report a failure of the audio system. Contact a Fiat Dealership as
soon as possible.
