SYMBOLS
Some vehicle components have coloured labels whose symbols indicate precautions to be observed when using this
component.
A plate summarising these symbols can also be found under the bonnet.
VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS/ALTERATIONS
IMPORTANT Any modification or alteration of the vehicle might seriously affect its safety and road holding, thus causing
accidents, in which the occupants could even be fatally injured.
ACCESSORIES PURCHASED BY THE OWNER
If after buying the vehicle, you decide to install electrical accessories that require a permanent electrical supply (e.g. radio,
satellite anti-theft system, etc.) or accessories that in any case burden the electrical supply, contact a Fiat Dealership, whose
personnel will check whether the vehicle's electrical system is able to withstand the load required, or whether it needs to be
integrated with a more powerful battery.
IMPORTANT Take care when fitting additional spoilers, alloy wheel rims or non-standard wheel hubs: they could reduce the
ventilation of the brakes and affect efficiency under sharp, repeated braking or on long descents. Make sure that nothing
obstructs the pedal stroke (mats, etc.).
INSTALLING ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Electrical and electronic devices installed after buying the vehicle and available as after-sales must carry the following label: Fiat
authorises the installation of transceivers provided that installation is carried out at a specialised centre, in a workmanlike
fashion and in compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
IMPORTANT Traffic authorities may not allow the vehicle on the road if devices are fitted that involve modifications to the
features of the vehicle. This may also cause lapse of the warranty in relation to faults caused by the change or either directly or
indirectly related to it. Fiat shall not be liable for damage caused by the installation of accessories either not supplied or
recommended by Fiat and/or not installed in compliance with the provided instructions.

TRIP COMPUTER
IN BRIEF
The Trip computer is used to display
information on vehicle operation
when the ignition key is turned to
MAR. This function allows you to
define two separate trips, called "Trip
A" and "Trip B", for monitoring the
"complete mission" (journey) of
the vehicle in a reciprocally
independent manner. Both functions
can be reset (reset means start of
a new journey).
"Trip A" can be used to display the
values relating to:
Outside Temperature
Range
Distance travelled A
Average consumption A
Instant consumption
Average speed A
Trip time A (driving time)
Reset Trip A
"Trip B", available on multifunction
display only, is used to display
the values relating to:
Distance travelled B
Average consumption B
Average speed B
Trip time B (driving time)
Trip B reset
Natural Power versions
NOTE The trip computer data
concerning range, average
consumption and instantaneous
consumption are not available for these
versions.

TRIP control button
The TRIP button, located on the top of
the right steering column stalk fig. 98, is
used (with ignition at MAR) to display
these values and reset them to start
a new journey:
brief press to access the various
values displays;
long press to reset and then start a
new mission.
New mission
This begins after a reset:
“manual” resetting by the user, by
pressing the relevant button;

activated, contact a Fiat Dealership. Before replacing a fuse, make sure that the ignition key has been removed and that all the other services
are switched off and/or disengaged.

which can be fitted on the vehicle.
TIPS, CONTROLS
AND GENERAL
INFORMATION
ROAD SAFETY
Learn how to use the various system
functions before setting off.
Read the instructions for the system
carefully before setting off.
147) 148)
RECEPTION CONDITIONS
Reception conditions change
constantly while driving. Reception may
be interfered with by the presence of
mountains, buildings or bridges,
especially when you are far away from
the broadcaster.
IMPORTANT The volume may be
increased when receiving traffic
information and news.
CARE AND
MAINTENANCE
Observe the following precautions to
ensure the system is fully operational:
the display lens should not come
into contact with pointed or rigid
objects which could damage its
surface; use a soft, dry anti-static cloth
to clean and do not press.
never use alcohol, petrol or
petroleum-based solvents to clean the
display screen.
prevent any liquid from entering the
system: this could damage it beyond
repair.
47) 48)
ANTITHEFT PROTECTION
The system is equipped with an
anti-theft protection system based on
the exchange of information with the
electronic control unit (Body Computer)
on the vehicle.
This guarantees maximum safety and
prevents the secret code from being
entered after the power supply has
been disconnected.
If the check has a positive outcome, the
system will start to operate, whereas if
the comparison codes are not the
same or if the electronic control unit
(Body Computer) is replaced, the
system will ask the user to enter the
secret code according to the procedure
described in the paragraph below.
Entering the secret code
When the system is switched on, if the
code is requested, the display will
show "Please enter Anti-Theft Code"
followed by the screen showing a
keypad to enter the secret code. The secret code is made up of four
digits from 0 to 9.
Uconnect™Radio:
To enter the first digit of the code, turn
the "BROWSE/ENTER" right knob
and press to confirm.
After inserting the fourth digit, move the
cursor to "OK" and press the
"BROWSE ENTER" right knob: the
system will start to operate.
Uconnect™5" and 7" HD:
Use the graphic buttons on the display
to enter the code digits. If an incorrect
code is entered, the system displays
"Incorrect Code" to notify the user
of the need to enter the correct code.
After the 3 available attempts to enter
the code, the system displays
"Incorrect Code. Radio locked. Wait for
30 minutes". After the text has
disappeared it is possible to start the
code entering procedure again.
Vehicle radio passport
This document certifies ownership of
the system. The vehicle radio passport
shows the system model, serial number
and secret code.
In the case of loss of the radio
passport, contact the Fiat Dealership,
taking an ID document and the vehicle
ownership documents.

MULTIMEDIA
IMPORTANT Keep the vehicle radio
passport in a safe place so that you
can give the information to the relevant
authorities if the system is stolen.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Look at the screen only and when it is
necessary and safe. If you need to look
at the screen for a long time, pull over
to a safe place so as not to be
distracted while driving.
Immediately stop using the system in
the event of a fault. Otherwise the
system might be damaged. Contact a
Fiat Dealership as soon as possible
to have the system repaired.
WARNING
147)Follow the safety rules here below:
otherwise serious injuries may occur to the
occupants or the system may be
damaged.
148)If the volume is too loud this can be
dangerous. Adjust the volume so that
you can still hear background noises (e.g.
horns, ambulances, police vehicles, etc.).
WARNING
47)Only clean the front panel and the
display lens with a soft, clean, dry,
anti-static cloth. Cleaning and polishing
products may damage the surface. Never
use alcohol, petrols and derivatives.48)Do not use the display as a base for
supports with suction pads or adhesives
for external navigators or smartphones
or similar devices.
