SYMBOLS AND MESSAGES ON THE DISPLAY
Symbol What it means
DUALOGIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The symbol comes on in the event of a transmission failure.
The display also shows messages relating to:
fewer gear shifts requested;
manual (or automatic) driving mode not available;
press brake pedal / delayed start;
press brake pedal and repeat manoeuvre;
gear not available;
manoeuvre not permitted;
place gear lever in neutral.
29)
AIRBAG FAILURE
The symbol switches on to indicate a failure of the airbag and a failure of the
light on the instrument
panel. Contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
LOW ENGINE OIL PRESSURE
30)
The symbol switches on in the case of insufficient engine oil pressure.
IMPORTANT Do not use the vehicle until the failure has been solved. The switching on of the symbol does
not show the quantity of oil in the engine: the oil level must be checked manually.
BONNET NOT PROPERLY SHUT
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The symbol switches on when the engine bonnet is not properly shut. Close the bonnet properly.

KNOWING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL
Symbol What it means
DECAYED ENGINE OIL
(for versions/markets, where provided)
Diesel versions: the symbol turns on and is displayed for 3 minute cycles and intervals of
5 seconds until the oil is changed. The symbol is displayed until the problem is solved.
Petrol versions: the symbol switches on and then is not displayed when the display cycle
is completed.
IMPORTANT After the first indication, each time the engine is started the symbol will
continue to switch on until the oil is changed, as described above.
If the symbol flashes, this does not mean that there is a fault on the vehicle, rather it simply
reports that it is now necessary to change the oil as a result of regular use of the vehicle.
The deterioration of engine oil is accelerated by using the car for short drives, preventing
the engine from reaching operating temperature.
Contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
31) 32)
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE
The symbol switches on in the event of engine oil level sensor failure.
WATER IN DIESEL FILTER (diesel versions)
The symbol switches on constantly when driving, along to indicate the presence of water
in the diesel filter.
33)
66
KNOWING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL
Symbol What it means
A/MAUTOMATIC/MANUAL DRIVING MODE (versions with Dualogic transmission)
Automatic driving mode (AUTO)
The letter “A” followed by the number of the speed engaged (e.g. “A1”) appears on the
display if AUTO mode (automatic driving mode) is selected.
Manual driving mode (MANUAL)
The letter “M” followed by the number of the speed engaged (e.g. “M1”) appears on the
display if MANUAL mode (manual driving mode) is selected.
WARNING
31)Decayed engine oil should be changed as soon as possible after the symbol appears and never more than 500 km after it first appears.
Failure to observe the above may result in severe damage to the engine and invalidate the warranty. When this symbol comes on, it does not
mean that the level of engine oil is low, so if it flashes you do not need to top up the engine oil.
32)If the symbol flashes when driving, contact a Fiat Dealership.
33)The presence of water in the fuel system circuit may cause severe damage to the injection system and irregular engine operation. If the
symbol is displayed contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible to bleed the system. If the above indications come on immediately after
refuelling, water has probably been poured into the tank: switch the engine off immediately and contact a Fiat Dealership.
34)Vehicle travel speed should always be adapted to the traffic and weather conditions, and must always comply with traffic regulations. The
engine can be stopped even if the symbol is on: however, repeated interruptions of the regeneration process could cause premature
deterioration of the engine oil. For this reason it is always advisable to wait for the symbol to go off before turning off the engine, following the
instructions above. Do not complete the DPF regeneration process when the car is stopped.

SCHEDULED
SERVICING
Correct servicing is crucial for
guaranteeing a long life for the vehicle
under the best conditions. For this
reason, Fiat has planned a series of
checks and services at fixed distance
intervals and, where provided, at fixed
time intervals, as described in the
Scheduled Servicing Plan.
Before each coupon however you
always need to pay attention to what is
written in the Scheduled Servicing
Plan (e.g. periodically check liquid
levels, tire pressure, etc.).
Scheduled Servicing is offered by all
Fiat Dealerships according to a set time
schedule. If, during each operation, in
addition to the ones scheduled, the
need arises for further replacements or
repairs, these may be carried out with
the owner's explicit agreement only.
If your car is used frequently for towing,
the interval between one scheduled
servicing operation and the next should
be reduced.IMPORTANT The Scheduled Servicing
coupons are prescribed by the
Manufacturer. Failure to carry them out
can cause the guarantee to decline. It is
advisable to inform a Fiat Dealership of
any small operating irregularities without
waiting for the next scheduled service
deadline.PERIODIC CHECKS
Every 1,000 kmor before long trips
check and, if necessary, top up:engine coolant level;
brake fluid level;
windscreen washer fluid level;
tyre inflation pressure and condition;
operation of lighting system
(headlights, direction indicators, hazard
warning lights, etc.);
operation of windscreen washer/
wiper system and positioning/wear of
rear window wiper blades.
Every3,000km, check and top up if
required: engine oil level.For 0.9
TwinAir Turbo versionsevery3,000
km check the engine oil level and
top it up to the maximum level, if
