INSUFFICIENT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE/DECAYED ENGINE OIL
When the ignition key is turned to MAR, the warning light (for versions/markets, where provided) switches on, but it should
switch off as soon as the engine is started.
NOTE For versions/markets, where provided, the indicator may be amber.
Low engine oil pressure
The warning light or the symbol switches on constantly along with a message on the display (for versions/markets, where
provided) when the system detects that engine oil pressure is low.
Engine oil degraded
The warning light switches on and a message is displayed (for versions/markets, where provided).
The warning light may flash in the following ways, depending on the version:
❑ cycles of 3 minutes with intervals with the warning light off for 5 seconds until the oil is changed.
After the initial warning, each time the engine is started up, the warning light will continue to flash in the same mode, until
the oil is changed. A specific message will appear on the display (for versions/
markets, where provided) in addition to the warning light. The lighting of this warning light should not be considered as a
fault, it simply informs the customer that the oil needs to be changed following normal car use.
Engine oil deterioration is accelerated by:
❑ mainly town use of the car which makes the DPF regeneration process more frequent;
❑ use of the vehicle for short drives, in which the engine does not have time to reach its regular operating temperature;
❑ repeated interruption of the regeneration process, signalled by the DPF warning light coming on.

DOORS/BONNET/LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT OPEN (versions with multifunction display)
The warning light appears on the display, together with a dedicated message, on some versions, when one or more doors,
the tailgate or the bonnet (for versions/markets, where provided) are not properly closed.
An acoustic signal is also emitted with the doors open and the car in motion.
ww
LOW BATTERY CHARGE
The warning light switches on when the ignition key is turned to MAR, but it should switch off as soon as the engine has
started (with the engine idling a brief delay before switching off is acceptable).
If the warning light or the symbol on the display (together with a dedicated message on the display on some versions)
remains on, contact a Fiat Dealership immediately.

WATER IN THE DIESEL FILTER (Diesel Versions)
When the key is turned to MAR, the symbol appears but it should switch off after a few seconds.
The symbol on the display switches on constantly when driving
to indicate the presence of water in the diesel filter.
On some versions, in alternative, the warning light
èswitches on and the display shows a dedicated message.
EE
FIAT CODE SYSTEM FAILURE
With the key in the MAR position, on some versions the warning light, or the symbol on the display, turns on continuously,
along with a dedicated message on the display, to signal a possible Fiat CODE system failure.
If the warning light or symbol blinks on the display with engine running, it means that the vehicle is not protected by the
engine immobiliser device.
In this case, contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible.
REAR FOG LIGHTS
The warning light comes on when the fog lights are turned on.
GENERIC FAULT INDICATION
The warning light switches on in the following circumstances. In these cases contact a Fiat Dealership to have the fault fixed
as soon as possible.
Engine oil pressure sensor failure
The warning light switches on when the engine oil pressure sensor is incorrect.
Fuel cut-off system intervention/failure
This warning light switches on, on some versions along with a dedicated message on the display, in the case of fuel cut-off
system activation/fault.
Exterior lights failure
The warning light switches on when an external light fault is detected.

REGULAR
INSPECTIONS
39) 22) 4)
Every 1,000 km or before long
journeys, check and, if necessary, top
up the following:
❒ engine coolant fluid level;
❒ brake fluid level;
❒ windscreen washer fluid level;
❒ tyre inflation pressure and condition;
❒ operation of lighting system
(headlights, direction indicators,
hazard warning lights, etc.);
❒ operation of the windscreen
wiper/washer system, position and
wear of the windscreen and rear
window wiper blades.
Every 3,000 km check and top up if
required: engine oil level.
You are advised to use PETRONAS
LUBRICANTS products, which have
been designed and produced
specifically for Fiat cars (see table
“Capacities” in the “Technical
specifications” section).
DEMANDING USE
OF THE CAR
If the vehicle is mainly used in one of
the following particularly harsh
conditions:
❒ trailer or caravan towing;
❒ dusty roads;
❒ short repeated distances (less than
7-8 km) and with external
temperatures below zero;
❒ engine often idling or driving long
distances at low speeds or long
periods of inactivity;
perform the following inspections more
frequently than shown on the
Scheduled Servicing Plan:
❒ check front disk brake pad
conditions and wear;
❒ Check cleanliness of bonnet and
luggage compartment locks,
cleanliness and lubrication of
linkage;❒ sight inspect the conditions of:
engine, gearbox, transmission,
pipes and hoses (exhaust -
fuel - brakes), rubber parts
(boots, sleeves, bushes, etc.);
❒ check battery charge and battery
fluid level (electrolyte);
❒ visually check the various drive belt
conditions;
❒ check and, if necessary, change
engine oil and replace oil filter;
❒ check pollen filter and replace it, if
required;
❒ check air cleaner and replace it, if
required.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
196
The engine can be stopped even if the DPF warning light is on:
however, repeated interruptions of the regeneration process could
cause premature deterioration of the engine oil.
For this reason, always wait until the warning light switches off
before stopping the engine as described above. Do not complete
the DPF regeneration process when the vehicle is stopped.
•Water in the fuel circuit may severely damage the injection
system and cause irregular engine operation. If the warning light
or the symbol
Eturns on (together with a message on the display
for some versions), contact a Fiat Dealership as soon as possible
to have the system bled. If the above indication occurs
immediately after refuelling, water may have entered the tank: turn
the engine off immediately and contact a Fiat Dealership.
• If the system signals a pressure decrease on a specific tyre, it is
recommended to check the pressure on all four tyres. The iTPMS
does not relieve the driver from the obligation to check the tyre
pressure every month; it is not to be considered a system to
replace maintenance or a safety system. Tyre pressure must be
checked with tyres cold. Should it become necessary for whatever
reason to check pressure with warm tyres, do not reduce
pressure even though it is higher than the prescribed value, but
repeat the check when tyres are cold.
• The iTPMS cannot indicate sudden tyre pressure drops
(for example when a tyre bursts). In this case, stop the vehicle,
braking with caution and avoiding abrupt steering.
The system only warns that the tyre pressure is low: it is not able
to inflate them. Insufficient tyre inflation increases fuel
consumption, reduces the tread duration and may affect the
capacity to drive safely.

PERSONAL SAFETY
(CONTINUED)
•If when turning the key to MAR the warning light ¬does not
turn on or if it stays on when travelling there could be a failure in
safety systems;
in this event airbags or pretensioners may not be deployed in
case of impact or, in a minor number of cases, they may be
deployed accidentally. Contact a Fiat Dealership immediately to
have the system checked.
•A fault to the
¬warning light is indicated, according to the
version, by the ¬symbol appearing on the display or by the èwarning light blinking. In this case, warning light ¬may not
indicate failures in the retaining systems. Before continuing,
contact a Fiat Dealership immediately to have the system
checked.
•The blinking
èwarning light on indicates possible ¬warning light faults. In this case, warning light ¬may not
indicate failures in the retaining systems. Contact a Fiat
Dealership immediately to have the system checked.
•If the warning light
vturns on when the car is travelling
(on certain versions together with the message on the display),
stop the car immediately and contact a Fiat Dealership.
•If the
vwarning light (or v, for versions/markets, where
provided) switches on, the degraded engine oil must be changed
as soon as possible, and never more than 500 km from the first
time that the warning light switches on. Failure to observe the
above may result in severe damage to the engine and invalidate
the warranty. The activation of this warning light is not related to
the amount of oil in the engine. Therefore, never top up with oil
when the warning light starts flashing.
•The driving speed must always be suitable for traffic and
weather conditions and the driver must always comply with the
Highway Code.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
206(CONTINUES)
25) PARKING SENSORS
• The sensor must be free of mud, dirt, snow or ice in order for
the system to work. Be careful not to scratch or damage the
sensors while cleaning them. Avoid using dry, rough or hard
cloths. The sensors must be washed using clean water, with
the addition of vehicle shampoo if necessary.
When using special washing equipment such as high pressure
jets or steam cleaning, clean the sensors very quickly keeping
the jet more than 10 cm away.
• Have interventions on the bumper in the area of the sensors
carried out only by a Fiat Dealership. Interventions on the
bumper that are not carried out properly may compromise the
operation of the parking sensors.
26) DECAYED ENGINE OIL
To prevent damage to the engine, it is advisable to replace the
engine oil when the red
vwarning light switches on, or
when the yellow vwarning light comes on solid (for versions/markets, where
provided). Contact a Fiat Dealership.
27) BODYWORK
• Avoid washing with rollers and/or brushes in washing stations.
Then, wash the vehicle, only by hand, using pH-neutral
detergents; dry it with a wet chamois leather. Abrasive products
and/or polishes should not be used for cleaning the vehicle.
• Bird droppings must be washed off immediately and
thoroughly as the acid they contain is particularly aggressive. • Avoid (if at all possible) parking the vehicle under trees; remove
vegetable resins immediately as, when dried, it may only be
possible to remove them with abrasive products and/or polishes,
which is highly inadvisable as they could alter the typical
opaqueness of the paint.
• It is not advisable to wash with pressure washer or, in case of
use, it is necessary to maintain at least a minimum distance of 40
cm with water at room temperature.
28) WINDOWS
Do not use pure windscreen washer fluid for cleaning the front
windscreen and rear window - dilute it at least 50% with water.
29 LPG
• The car is equipped with a gaseous LPG injection system
designed specifically for it: it is therefore absolutely forbidden to
alter the configuration of the system or its components. The use of
other components or materials could cause malfunctions and lead
to a reduction in safety; therefore, contact a Fiat Dealership in the
case of fault.
• The system operates at temperatures ranging between −20°C
and 100°C.
• To prevent damage to the LPG system parts when towing or
raising the vehicle, follow the instructions in the “Towing the
vehicle” paragraph of the Owner Handbook.
• When painting in an oven, the LPG tank must be removed from
the car and later refitted by a Fiat Dealership.
