Loose objects or devices with a cable
connection to the vehicle, e.g., mobile phones, can be thrown into the vehicle's interior while
driving, e.g., in the event of an accident or durj
ing braking and evasive maneuvers. There is a risk of injury. Secure loose objects or devices
with a cable connection to the vehicle in the
vehicle's interior.'

ClosingFold cover closed.
Locking The glove compartment can be locked with an
integrated key to separately secure the tailj gate, refer to page 57, for instance.
This prevents access to the glove compartj ment and to the cargo area.
After the glove compartment is locked, the rej
mote control can be handed over, such as at a
hotel, without the integrated key.

Folded open, the glove compartment
protrudes in the vehicle's interior. Objects in the glove compartment can be thrown into thevehicle's interior while driving, e.g., in the eventof an accident or during braking and evasive
maneuvers. There is a risk of injury. Always close the glove compartment immediately after
using it.'

Fold the center armrest up.
Repositioning
The center armrest can be pushed forward or backward and engages in the end positions.

An external audio device, for inj
stance an MP3 player, can be connected via the USB audio inj
terface in the center armrest.

Cup
holders
Safety

Unsuitable containers in the cup holder
and hot beverages can damage the cup holder and increase the risk of injury in the event of anaccident. There is a risk of injury or risk ofproperty damage. Use light-weight, unbreakajble, and sealable containers. Do not transporthot beverages. Do not force objects into thecup holder.'

To close: push both covers back in, one after
the other.

With an open cup holder, the center armj
rest cannot be folded back up. There is a risk
