94Instruments and controlsThe fuel economy gauge is enabled
by default.
Depending on version, the fuel
economy gauge (or 'driving style
indicator') can be disabled via the
Infotainment system. Refer to
Infotainment manual for further
information.
Service display When the ignition is switched on, theremaining distance before the next
service is due may be shown briefly in
the Driver Information Centre. Based
on driving conditions, the interval at
which a service will be indicated can
vary considerably.
The 'distance before service' display
can also be shown by pressing button on end of wiper lever for approx.
5 seconds.
When the remaining distance before
the next service is less than
1500 km or one month, a message
appears in the Driver Information
Centre. When the distance reaches 0 km or
the service date is due, control
indicator j illuminates in the
instrument cluster and the Driver
Information Centre respectively, and
a corresponding message appears in the Driver Information Centre.
The vehicle needs a service. Seek the assistance of a workshop.
Resetting the service display After a service, the service display
must be reset:
Select the 'distance before service'
display in the Driver Information
Centre by pressing button repeatedly
on the end of the wiper lever, then
press and hold button for approx.
10 seconds until the 'distance before
service' is displayed continuously, i.e. the display no longer flashes.
On some vehicles, it may be
necessary to press and hold the
button twice. In this event, proceed as follows:
After selecting the 'distance before
service' display, press and hold
button for approx. 10 seconds until
the 'distance before service' flashes inthe display. Then press and hold
button again for approx. 10 seconds
to reset the service interval.
If control indicator j does not
extinguish from the instrument
cluster, drive a minimum of 15 km then switch off ignition for at least
1 minute before repeating procedure.
