■Adjusting the Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL)
Type A
When ASL is selected, turning the tune/scroll knob to the right
changes the amount of ASL in the order of LOW, MID and HIGH.
Turning the knob to the left turns ASL off.
ASL automatically adjusts the volume and tone quality according to
vehicle speed.
Type B
When ASL is selected, turn the tune/scroll knob to change the
amount of ASL.
“LOW”, “MID”, “HIGH”, or “OFF” can be selected.
ASL automatically adjusts the volume and tone quality according to
vehicle speed.
Press the knob or (“BACK”) (Type B), or the “SETUP” button
or the back button (Type A) to return to the sound setting menu.

Search for desired stations by turning the tune/scroll knob or press-
ing “ ” or “” on the “SEEK TRACK” button (Type A), or the “” or
“ ” button of “SEEK TRACK” (Type B).
Press and hold a desired station selector button until you hear a
beep.

■Updating the station list
Press the “LIST” button (Type A).
The station list will be displayed.
Press (“UPDATE”) to update the list.
“Updating” is displayed while the searching is in process, and then avail-
able stations will be listed on the display.
To cancel the updating process, press the back button (Type A).
■Selecting a station from the station list
Press the “LIST” button (Type A).
The station list will be displayed.
Turn the tune/scroll knob to select a station.
Press the knob to tune in the station.
To return to the previous display, press the back button (Type A).

■EON (Enhanced Other Network) system (for traffic announcement func-
tion) (Type A only)
If the RDS station (with EON data) you are listening to is not broadcasting a
traffic information program and the audio system is in the TA (traffic
announcement) mode, the radio will be switched automatically to a station
broadcasting a traffic information program in the EON AF list when traffic
information begins.
■ When the battery is disconnected
Station presets are erased.
■ Reception sensitivity
● Maintaining perfect radio reception at all times is difficult due to the continu-
ally changing position of the antenna, differences in signal strength and sur-
rounding objects, such as trains, transmitters, etc.
● The radio antenna is mounted on the rear roof.

Insert a disc.
Press the disc eject button and remove the disc.
■Selecting a track
Turn the tune/scroll knob or press the “ ” or “” on the “SEEK
TRACK” button (Type A), or the “ ” or “” button of “SEEK TRACK”
(Type B) to move up or down until the desired track number is dis-
played.
■Selecting a track from a track list
Press the “LIST” button (Type A) or (“LIST”) (Type B).
The track list will be displayed.
Turn and press the tune/scroll knob to select a track.
To return to the previous display, press the “LIST” button or the back
button (Type A), or (“BACK”) (Type B).
■Fast-forwarding and rewinding tracks
Press and hold the “ ” or “” on the “SEEK TRACK” button (Type
A), or the “<” or “>” button of “SEEK TRACK” (Type B).
Loading CDs or MP3 and WMA discs
Ejecting CDs or MP3 and WMA discs
