Locking and unlocking the steering wheel
● Engaging the steering wheel lock: Remove
the key fr
om the ignition and turn the wheel
until it locks. In vehicles with an automatic
gearbox, the gear lever must be in the P posi-
tion in order to remove the key. If necessary,
press the locking key on the selector lever
and release it again.
● Unlocking the steering wheel: Put the key
into the ignition and turn it
at the same time
as the steering wheel in the direction indica-
ted by the arrow. If it is not possible to turn
the steering wheel, it may be because it is
locked. Turning on/switching off the ignition, glow
plugs

reheating
● Switch ignition on: Turn the key to the 2 position.

Switch ignition off. Turn the key to the 1 position.

Starting the engine
● Manual gearbox: press the clutch pedal all
the way
down and move the gearbox lever in-
to neutral.
● Automatic gearbox: Press the brake pedal

Start-Stop System*
When you stop and release the clutch pedal,
the Start-Stop system* turns off the engine.

Display and storage of the values for
the journey and the consumption
from when the ignition is switched
on to when it is switched off.
If the journey is continued in less
than 2 hours after the ignition is
switched off, the new data is added
to the data already stored in the
memory. The memory will automati-
cally be deleted if the journey is in-
terrupted for more than 2 hours.
MFD from re- fuellingDisplay and storage of the values for
the journey and the consumption.
By refuelling, the memory will be
erased automatically.
MFD total
calculation
The memory records the values for a
specific number of partial trips, up
to a total of 19 hours and 59 mi-
nutes or 99 hours and 59 minutes,
or 1999.9 km or 9999 km, depend-
ing on the model of instrument pan-
el. On reaching either of these lim-

, the memory is automatically
erased and starts to count from 0
again.

The current fuel consumption dis-
play operates throughout the
journey, in litres/100 km; and
with the engine running and the
vehicle stopped, in litres/hour.
Average fuel consumption
After turning on the ignition, aver-
age fuel consumption in li-
tres/100 km will be displayed af-
ter travelling about 300 metres.
Otherwise horizontal lines are
displayed. The value shown is up-
dated approximately every 5 sec-
onds.

Approximate distance in km that
can still be travelled with the fuel
remaining in the tank, assuming
the same style of driving is main-
tained. This is calculated using
the current fuel consumption.
Travelling
timeThis indicates the hours (h) and
minutes (min) since the ignition
was switched on.
JourneyDistance covered in km (m) after
switching on the ignition.
CNG quality
Whenever you refuel the quality
of the natural gas is automatically
verified and is displayed when
the ignition is switched on. The
display is made in a percentage
of between 70% and 100%. The
greater the percentage displayed
the lower the consumption may
be.
Average speed
The average speed will be shown
after a distance of about 100 me-
tres has been travelled. Otherwise
horizontal lines are displayed.
The value shown is updated ap-
proximately every 5 seconds.

Start the engine of the vehicle with the
flat battery and wait for 2 or 3 minutes
until the engine is running.
Removing the jump leads Before you remove the jump leads,
switch off the dipped beam headlights if
they are switched on.
Turn on the heater blower and heated
rear window in the vehicle with the flat
battery. This helps minimise voltage
peaks which are generated when the
leads are disconnected.
When the engine is running, disconnect
the leads in reverse order to the details
given above.

The Anti-puncture kit* (Tyre Mobility System)
will reliably seal punctures caused by the
penetration of a foreign body of up to about
4 mm in diameter. Do not remove foreign ob-
jects, e.g. screws or nails, from the tyre.
After inserting the sealant residue in the tyre,
you must again check the tyre pressure about
10 minutes after starting the engine.
You should only use the tyre mobility set if
the vehicle is parked in a safe place, you are
familiar with the procedure and you have the
necessary tyre mobility set! Otherwise, you
should seek professional assistance.
Do not use the tyre sealant in the following
cases:
● If the wheel rim has been damaged.
● In outside temperatures below -20°C (-4°F).
● In the event of cuts or perforations in the
tyr e gr

eater than 4 mm.
● If you have been driving with very low pres-
sure or a c
ompletely flat tyre.
● If the sealant bottle has passed its use by
date. WARNING
Using the tyre mobility system can be dan-
ger ou

s, especially when filling the tyre at the
roadside. Please observe the following rules
to minimise the risk of injury:
● Stop the vehicle safely as soon as possible.
Park it
at a safe distance from surrounding
traffic to fill the tyre.
● Ensure the ground on which you park is flat
and solid.
● Al

l passengers and particularly children
must
keep a safe distance from the work area.
● Turn on the hazard warning lights to warn
other roa
d users.
● Use the tyre mobility system only if you are
famili
ar with the necessary procedures. Oth-
erwise, you should seek professional assis-
tance.
● The tyre mobility set is intended for tempo-
rary
emergency use only until you can reach
the nearest specialised workshop.
● Replace the repaired tyre with the tyre mo-
bility
set as soon as possible.
● The sealant is a health hazard and must be
cle
aned immediately if it comes into contact
with the skin.
● Always keep the tyre mobility set out of the
reac
h of small children.
● Never use a jack, even if it has been ap-
prov
ed for your vehicle.
● Always stop the engine, apply the hand-
brake l
ever firmly and engage gear if using a manual gearbox, in order to reduce the risk of
vehic
l

e involuntary movement. WARNING
A tyre filled with sealant does not have the
s ame per f

ormance properties as a conven-
tional tyre.
● Never drive faster than 80 km/h (50 mph).
● Avoid heavy acceleration, hard braking and
fas
t cornering.
● Drive for only 10 minutes at a maximum
speed of 80
km/h (50 mph) and then check
