1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window more than halfway byoperating the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch
for more than 3 seconds after the window is
closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by automatic function to confirm
the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other windows.
If the power window automatic function does not
operate properly after performing the above pro-
cedure, have your vehicle checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this
service.
POWER MOONROOF
The moonroof will only operate when the ignition
switch is placed in the ON position. The power
moonroof is operational for a period of time, even
if the ignition switch is placed in the ACC or OFF
position. If the driver’s door or the front passen-
ger’s door is opened during this period of time,
the power to the moonroof is canceled.
Sliding the moonroof
To fully open the moonroof, push the switch to-
ward

To fully close the moonroof, push the switch
toward
2. To open or close the moonroof part way, push the
switch in any direction while the moonroof is
sliding to stop it in the desired position.
Tilting the moonroof
To tilt the moonroof:
● To tilt the moonroof up, push and release the
tilt switch
3. When the moonroof is open, it
will automatically close and then tilt up.
● To tilt the moonroof down, push and release
the tilt switch

toward the close position until it reaches the
first detent.
WARNING
● In an accident you could be thrown from
the vehicle through an open moonroof.
Always use seat belts and child
restraints.
● Do not allow anyone to stand up or
extend any portion of their body out of
the moonroof opening while the vehicle
is in motion or while the moonroof is
closing.

Sliding the moonroof
To slide the moonroof:● To fully open the moonroof, push the switch
1toward the open position until it reaches
the second detent. If the switch

pushed to the first detent, only the sunshade
will open.
● To fully close the moonroof, push the switch
2toward the close position until it reaches
the second detent. If the switch

pushed to the first detent, the moonroof will
close but the sunshade will remain open.
● To open or close the moonroof part way,
release the switch

roof is sliding open or closed. The moonroof
will stop at the desired position.
Tilting the moonroof
To tilt the moonroof:
● To tilt the moonroof up, push and release the
tilt switch
3. When the moonroof is open, it
will automatically close and then tilt up.
● To tilt the moonroof down, push and release
the tilt switch

toward the close position until it reaches the
first detent. ●
To tilt the moonroof down and close the
sunshade at the same time, push the switch
2to the close position until it reaches the
second detent.
Auto-reverse function (when closing or
tilting down the moonroof)
The auto-reverse function can be activated when
the moonroof is closed or tilted down by auto-
matic operation when the ignition switch is
placed in the ON position or for a period of time
after the ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position. Depending on the environment or
driving conditions, the auto-reverse func-
tion may be activated if an impact or load
similar to something being caught in the
moonroof occurs.
WARNING
There are some small distances immedi-
ately before the closed position which
cannot be detected. Make sure that all
passengers have their hands, etc., inside
the vehicle before closing the moonroof.
When closing
If the control unit detects something caught in the
moonroof as it moves to the front, the moonroof
will immediately open backward. When tilting down
If the control unit detects something caught in the
moonroof as it tilts down, the moonroof will im-
mediately tilt up.
If the auto-reverse function malfunctions and re-
peats opening or tilting up the moonroof, keep
pushing the tilt down switch within 5 seconds
after it happens; the moonroof will fully close
gradually. Make sure nothing is caught in the
moonroof.

●

extend any portion of their body out of
the moonroof opening while the vehicle
is in motion or while the moonroof is

Sunshade
To open the sunshade:● To fully open the sunshade, push the switch
1toward the open position until it reaches
the first detent.
● To fully open the sunshade and the moon-
roof together, push the switch

open position until it reaches the second
detent. To close the sunshade:

● Pushing the switch

If the moonroof does not close
Have your moonroof checked and repaired. It is
recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for
this service.
The rear sun shade operates when the ignition
switch is in the ACC or ON position.
The rear sun shade switch is located on the front
console.● To raise the sun shade, push the upper side
of the switch

tem during registration. Any key that is not given
to the dealer at the time of registration will no
longer be able to start your vehicle.
CAUTION
Do not allow the immobilizer system key,
which contains an electrical transponder,
to come into contact with water or salt
water. This could affect system function.When the doors are locked using one of the
following methods, the doors cannot be opened
using the inside or outside door handles. The
doors must be unlocked to open the doors.

for and avoid oncoming traffic.

through unintended operation of the
vehicle and or its systems, including
entrapment in windows or inadvertent
door lock activation, do not leave chil-
dren, people who require the assistance

inside a closed vehicle on a warm day
can quickly become high enough to
cause a significant risk of injury or
death to people and pets.
LOCKING WITH KEY
To lock or unlock the vehicle, turn the key as
shown.

Power
The power door lock system allows you to lock or
unlock all doors at the same time.
Turning the key toward the front
1of the vehicle
locks all doors.
Turning the key one time toward the rear

vehicle unlocks that door. From that position,
returning the key to neutral

only be removed and inserted) and turning it
toward the rear again within 60 seconds unlocks
all doors

Opening and closing windows
The driver’s door key operation allows you to
open and close windows equipped with auto-
matic operation at the same time.
● To open the windows, turn the driver’s door
key toward the rear of the vehicle for longer
than 1 second after the door is unlocked.
● To close the windows, turn the driver’s door
key toward the front of the vehicle for longer
than 1 second after the door is locked.
Windows stop when the key cylinder is released.

WARNING
●Radio waves could adversely affect
electric medical equipment. Those who
use a pacemaker should contact the
electric medical equipment manufac-
turer for the possible influences before
use.
● The Intelligent Key transmits radio
waves when the buttons are pressed.
The FAA advises the radio waves may
affect aircraft navigation and communi-
cation systems. Do not operate the In-
telligent Key while on an airplane. Make
sure the buttons are not operated unin-
tentionally when the unit is stored for a
flight.
● Never leave the Intelligent Key in the
vehicle when you leave the vehicle.
The Intelligent Key system can operate all the
door locks using the remote control function or
pushing the request switch on the vehicle without
taking the key out from a pocket or purse. The
operating environment and/or conditions may af-
fect the Intelligent Key system operation.
Be sure to read the following before using the
Intelligent Key system.
CAUTION
Be sure to carry the Intelligent Key with
you when operating the vehicle.
The Intelligent Key is capable of receiving and
transmitting radio waves. The Intelligent Key sys-
tem transmits weak radio waves from various
distances. Environmental conditions may inter-
fere with the operation of the Intelligent Key sys-
tem under the following operating conditions: ● When operating near a location where
strong radio waves are transmitted, such as
a TV tower, power station and broadcasting
station.
● When in possession of wireless equipment,
such as a cellular telephone, transceiver, or a
CB radio.
● When the Intelligent Key is in contact with or
covered by metallic materials.
● When any type of radio wave remote control
is used nearby.
● When the Intelligent Key is placed near an
electric appliance such as a personal com-
puter.
● When the vehicle is parked near a parking
meter. In such cases, correct the operating conditions
before using the Intelligent Key function or use
the mechanical key.
Although the life of the battery varies depending
on the operating conditions, the battery’s life is
approximately two years. If the battery is dis-
charged, replace it with a new one.
When the Intelligent Key battery is low, a yellow
indicator illuminates with the message “Warning,
Key ID Incorrect” in the vehicle information dis-
play. For additional information, refer to “Vehicle
information display warnings and indicators” in
the “Instruments and controls” section of this
manual.
Since the Intelligent Key is capable of receiving
radio waves, if the key is left near equipment
which transmits strong radio waves, such as sig-
nals from a TV and personal computer, the bat-
tery life may become shorter.
For additional information, refer to “Battery re-
placement” in the “Do-it-yourself” section of this
manual.
As many as four Intelligent Keys can be regis-
tered and used with one vehicle. For information
about the purchase and use of additional Intelli-
gent Keys, it is recommended that you visit a
NISSAN dealer.

Depress and hold the brake then push the push-
button ignition switch to the ON position before
driving. For additional information, refer to “Driv-
ing the vehicle” in the “Starting and driving” sec-
tion of this manual.
EXTENDING ENGINE RUN TIME
The remote start feature can be extended one
time by performing the steps listed in “Remote
starting the vehicle” in this section. Run time will
be calculated as follows:● The first 10 minute run time will start when
the remote start function is performed.
● The second 10 minutes will start immedi-
ately when the remote start function is per-
formed again. For example, if the engine has
been running for 5 minutes, and 10 minutes
are added, the engine will run for a total of
15 minutes.
● Extending engine run time will count towards
the two remote start limit.
A maximum of two remote starts, or a single start
with an extension, are allowed between ignition
cycles. The ignition switch must be cycled to the
ON position and then back to the OFF position
before the remote start procedure can be used
again.
CANCELING A REMOTE START
To cancel a remote start, perform one of the
following: ● Aim the Intelligent Key at the vehicle and
press
until the parking lights turn off.
● Turn on the hazard warning flashers.
● Cycle the ignition switch ON and then OFF.
● The extended engine run time has expired.
● The first 10 minute timer has expired.
● The engine hood has been opened.
● The shift lever is moved out of park.
● The alarm sounds due to illegal entry into the
vehicle.
● The ignition switch is pushed without an
Intelligent Key in the vehicle.
● The ignition switch is pushed with an Intelli-
gent Key in the vehicle but the brake pedal is
not depressed.
CONDITIONS THE REMOTE START
WILL NOT WORK
The remote start will not operate if any of the
following conditions are present:
● “Remote Engine Start” is turned off in the
“Locking” section of the Vehicle Settings
menu.
● The ignition switch is placed in the ON po-
sition.
● The hood is not securely closed.
● The hazard warning lights are on.
● The engine is still running. The engine must
be completely stopped. Wait at least 6 sec-
onds if the engine goes from running to off.
This is not applicable when extending en-
gine run time.
● The remote start button
is not pressed
and held for at least 2 seconds.
● The remote start button
is not pressed
and held within 5 seconds of pressing the
lock button.
● The brake is pressed.
● The doors are not closed and locked.
● The trunk or back door is open.

WARNING
●Objects viewed in the outside mirror on
the passenger side are closer than they
appear. Be careful when moving to the
right. Using only this mirror could cause
an accident. Use the inside mirror or
glance over your shoulder to properly
judge distances to other objects.
● Do not adjust the mirrors while driving.
You could lose control of your vehicle
and cause an accident.
Reverse tilt-down feature (if so
equipped)
The reverse tilt-down feature will turn both out-
side mirror surfaces downward to provide better
rear visibility close to the vehicle when the mirror
control switch is in either the L or R position.
The mirrors automatically returns to their original
position when you shift out of R (Reverse) .
The outside mirror surfaces will return to their
original position when one of the following has
occurred:
● The shift lever is moved to any position other
than R (Reverse) .
● The outside mirror control switch is set to the
neutral or center position. ●
The ignition switch is placed in the OFF
position.
NOTE:
If the outside mirror control switch is in the
Center position, mirror surface will NOT
turn downward when the shift lever is
moved to R (Reverse) .

refer to “Automatic drive positioner” in this sec-
tion.Foldable outside mirrors
Pull the outside mirror toward the door to fold it.
Heated mirrors (if so equipped)
The electric control type outside mirrors can be
heated to defrost, defog, or de-ice for improved
visibility. Push the rear window defroster switch
to activate the heating function. Push the switch
again to deactivate, or the heating function will
automatically turn off after approximately 15 min-
utes.
