Quick access for audio and telephone
Changing the station/music track
Depending on the audio source that is currently
activated, you can use this function to select the
next station or music track.
XCall up quick access (Ypage 24).
The current audio source is displayed.
XTo select the previous or next station or music
track: swipe to the left or right.
The selected station or music track is played.
Sending DTMF tones
The function is not supported by all mobile
phones (see the manufacturer's operating
instructions).
XCall up quick access during a call (Ypage 24).
XTo select characters: glide your finger to the
left or right and press.
Every character selected will be transmitted
immediately.

The multimedia system calls up the previously

Synchronizing the climate control set-
tings
UseOSync(synchronization) to select the cli-
mate control setting for all zones together Oor
separately ª.
This setting is made in the bottom bar of the
climate control menu.
XCall up the climate control menu (Ypage 48).
XSlide 6the controller repeatedly until the
bottom bar is activated.
XTo select OSync: turn and press the con-
troller.
XSwitch the synchronization function on Oor
off ª.

DYNAMIC SELECT
General notes
You can use DYNAMIC SELECTto configure the
following settings for the Individual drive pro-
gram:
RDrive system
RSuspension
RSteering
RClimate control
RECO start/stop function
iIn a few countries, the ECO start/stop func-
tion is deactivated at the factory due to the
available fuel grade. In this case, the ECO
start/stop function is not available regardless
of the display in the multimedia system dis-
play.
The off-road drive program is only available on
vehicles with the Off-Road Engineering package.
You can set the following programs in the Off‐
road Settingsmenu:
RSlippery
ROff-road
RGradient
RRocking free
RTrailer
ROff In addition, current vehicle and engine data is
visualized via the
Vehicle Data
andEngineDatamenus.
There may be fewer settings depending on your
vehicle's equipment.

Configuration via the DYNAMIC
SELECT switch

The Rocking free program can be selected up to
a speed of approximately 12 mph (20 km/h).
The Comfort drive program is selected automat-
ically when you turn off the Off-road program.

You may have to waitto use telephony via the
multimedia systeminthe foll owing situations:
Rifthe mob ilephone is switched off
RifBluetooth®is swit ched off on the mob ile
phone
Rif the mob ilephone isnot (or not yet) logged
into a mob ilephone network
Rifthe Bluetooth®function is switched off in
the multimed iasystem
The telephone automatically tries to log on to a
network. Ifno network isavailable, you may not
be able to make a " 911" emergency call. Ifyou
attempt to make an outgoing call, the No Ser‐
vicemessagewillappear for a short while.

the mobile phone network. If all bars are fille d,
you have optimum reception.
If the bars are not fille d,you have very poor
reception or no reception at all.

If the mobile phone connected supports the
MAP Bluetooth

If you have an unread text message or e-mail,
the 0 mail symbol is displayed at the top in
the status bar. The symbol disappear
s once you
have read the text message or e-mail. The ú
symbol is displayed as soon as the message
memory on the mobile phone or SIM card is full.
The symbol disappears once you delete at least
one message.
Connecting/disconnecting a mobile
phone
Prerequisites
For telephony via the Bluetooth®interface, you
require a Bluetooth®-capable mobile phone. The
mobile phone must support Hands-Free Pro file
1.0 or above.
On the multimedia system
XActivate Bluetooth®(Ypage 40).
On themob ile ph one
XSwitch on the mobile phone and enter the PIN
when prompted to do so (see the manufac-
turer's operating instructions).
XActivate Bluetooth®and, if necessary, Blue-
tooth®visibility for other devices (see the
manufacturer's operating instructions).
This visibility is for restricted periods of time
on some mobile phones (see the manufactur-
er's operating instructions).
XSet the Bluetooth®device name for the
mobile phone if necessary.

XOnce a connection has been establish ed to
the answer phone, select the desired charac-
ters inthe telephone menu: turn and press the
controller each time.
Every character selected will betransmitted
immediately.
Calls with several participants
Switching between calls (call waiting)
If you make another call, you can switch
between the two calls (call waiting). This func-
tion depends on your mobile phone network
provide r and the mobile phone (see the manu-
facturer's operating instructions).
The calls are marked 1 and 2. The active call is
highlighted.
