tected, PRE-

Impulse Side can pre-emptively mo vethe
front-seat vehicle occupant's upper body
to wa rdst he centre ofthev ehicle. It does this by
ra pidl yinflating an air cushion in theo uter seat
side bols teroft he seat backres tonthe side on
whic hthe impact is anticipated. This increases th
ed ista nce betwee nthe door and thev ehicle
occupant.
