depress the accelerator pedal. If you acceler-
ate to overtake, cruise control adjusts the
vehicle's speed to the last speed stored after
you have finished overtaking.
Deactivating cruise control
There are several ways to deactivate cruise con-
trol:

Cruise control is automatically deactivated if:

Thi srelieves the load on the brake system and
prevents the brakes fromo verheating and wear-
ing too quickly.
If DISTRONI CPLUSd etects thatt here isarisko f
ac ollision, yo uwillbew arned visuall yand
acoustically. DISTRONI CPLUSc anno tprevent a
collision withou tyou rintervention. An intermit-
tent warning tone will thens ound and the dis-
tance warning lamp will light up in the instru-
ment cluster .Brake immediatel yinorder to
increase the distance to the vehicl einfront or
take evasive action provided it is safe to do so.

To prevent damage to the vehicle, deactivate
DISTRONIC PLUS and the HOLD function in
the following or other similar situations:

good time and for staying in you rlane.
Do not use DISTRONIC PLUS:
Rin road and traffic conditions which do not
allow you to maintain aconstant speede .g. in
heavy traffic or on winding roads

Rwhen there is poor visibility, e.g. due to fog,
heavy rain or snow
DISTRONIC PLUS may not detect narrow vehi-
cles driving in front, e.g. motorcycles, or vehi-
cles driving on adifferent line.
In particular, the detection of obstacles can be
impaired if:

covering the sensors
Rthere is snow or heavy rain
Rthere is interference by other rada rsources

Important safety notes
GWARNING
SD memory cards are small parts. They can be
swallowed and cause asphyxiation. This
poses an increased risk of injury or even fatal injury.
Keep SD memory cards out of the reach of
children. If an SD memory card is swallowed,
seek immediate medical attention.
!If you are no longer using the SD memory
card, you should remove it and take it out of
