cal problem. Continuing to drive your Mazda in this condition could cause damage to your

4WD Warning Indi-

“4WD system malfunction” is displayed
The indication is dis played under the following conditions. The system may have a mal-
function. Have the vehicle checked at an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised
Mazda Repairer.
•When there is a malfunction in the 4WD system.•When there is a large difference between the tyre size of the f ront and rear wheels.
“4WD system high-load” is displayed
The indication is dis played under the following conditions. Par k the vehicle in a safe
place and check that the warnin g indication light turns off, and then drive the vehicle.
Contact an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer if the indication
is continuously displayed.
•When the differential oil temp erature is excessively high.•When there is a large difference between the front and rear whe el rotation, such as when
trying to remove the vehicle from mud.
4WD Warning
Light*
When the light is turned on
The light turns on under the following conditions. The system may have a malfunction.

When the light is flashing
Park the vehicle in a safe place. After a few moments, if the w arning light stops flashing,
you can resume driving. If the light does not stop flashing, co ntact an expert repairer, we

Pretensioner System Wa r n i n g L i g h t A system malfunction is indicated
if the warning light constantly flashes, constantly illu-
minates or does not illuminate at all when the ignition is swit ched ON. If any of these
occur, consult an expert repaire r, we recommend an Authorised M azda Repairer as soon
as possible. The system may not operate in an accident.WARNING
Never tamper with the air bag/pretensioner systems and always have an expert repairer,
we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer perform all servicing and repairs:
Self-servicing or tampering with the systems is dangerous. An air bag/pretensioner could
accidentally activate or become disa bled causing serious injury or death.

Tyre Pressure Moni-
toring System Warn-

If the tyre pressure monitoring system has a malfunction, the t yre pressure warning light
flashes. Have your vehicle check ed by an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised
Mazda Repairer as soon as possible.
WARNING
If the tyre pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates or flashes, or the tyre pres‐
sure warning beep sound is heard, decrease vehicle speed immediately and avoid sudden
manoeuvring and braking:
If the tyre pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates or flashes, or the tyre pres‐
sure warning beep sound is hear d, it is dangerous to drive the vehicle at high speeds, or
perform sudden manoeuvring or braking. Vehicl e drivability could worsen and result in an
accident.
To determine if you have a slow leak or a flat, pull over to a safe position where you can
check the visual condition of the tyre and determine if you have enough air to proceed to a
place where air may be added and the system monitored agai n by an expert repairer, we
recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer or a tyre repair station.
Do not ignore the TPMS Warning Light:
Ignoring the TPMS warning light is dangerous, even if you know why it is illuminated. Have
the problem taken care of as soon as possible before it develops into a more serious situa‐
tion that could lead to tyre failure and a dangerous accident.

This message is displayed if the advanced keyless entry & push button start system has a
problem.

gine may not start. If the engine cannot be st arted, try starting it using the emergency oper‐
ation for starting the engine, an d have the vehicle inspected at an expert repairer, we rec‐

“Set Power to OFF” is displayed
This message is displayed when the driver's door is opened with out switching the ignition
off.
“Key not found” is displayed
This message is displayed when a ny of the following operations is performed with the key
out of the operational range or placed in areas inside the cabi n where it is difficult for the
key to be detected.

in the cabin 6 times and the KEY warning
light (red) in the instrument cluster turns
on continuously to notify the driver that
the ignition has not been switched OFF.
NOTE
Because the key utilizes low-intensity
radio waves, the Key Removed From
Vehicle Warning may activate if the key is
carried together with a metal object or it
is placed in a poor signal reception area.
