When selecting the side display, move the Remote Touch knob to the right.

WARNING
■When washing the vehicle
Do not apply water to the inside of the engine compartment. Doing so may cause the electrical components, etc. to catch fire.
■When cleaning the windshield (vehicles with rain-sensing windshield wipers)
●When the upper part of the windshield where the raindrop sensor is located is touched by hand
●When a wet rag or similar is held close to the raindrop sensor
●If something bumps against the windshield
●If you directly touch the raindrop sensor body or if something bumps into the raindropsensor
■Precautions regarding the exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers
Exhaust gasses cause the exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers to become quite hot.
When washing the vehicle, be careful not to touch the pipes and diffusers until they have cooled sufficiently, as touching hot exhaust pipes and rear bumper diffusers cancause burns.
■Precaution regarding the rear bumper with Blind Spot Monitor (if equipped)
If the paint of the rear bumper is chipped or scratched, the system may malfunction. If this occurs, consult any authorized Lexus deal er or repairer, or another duly qualified
and equipped professional.
Set the wiper switch to off.
If the wiper switch is in “AUTO”, the wipers may operate unexpectedly in the following situa-tions, and may result in hands being caught or
other serious injuries and cause damage to the wiper blades.

When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer does not sound):
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Crash Safety system) is temporarily unavailable, possibly due to either of the following:• An area around the radar sensor or camera sensor being dirty
or covered with condensation, ice, stickers, etc. Clear the dirt, condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
( P. 294, 295) • Radar sensor or camera sensor operational conditions (such astemperature etc.) being not met
Driving is possible in this case. The PCS (Pre-Crash Safety sys- tem) will be enabled if the oper ational conditions (such as tem- perature etc.) are met again.
When the warning light is illuminated: Either the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or PCS (Pre-
Crash Safety system) is disa bled or both are disabled. To enable the PCS, enable both the VSC system and PCS. ( P. 304, 425)

■Front passenger detection sensor, seat belt reminder and warning buzzer
●If luggage is placed on the front passenger seat, the front passenger detection sensor may cause the warning light to flash and the warning buzzer to sound even if a passen-ger is not sitting in the seat.
●If a cushion is placed on the seat, the sensor may not detect a passenger, and the warn-ing light may not operate properly.
■Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
When the battery charge becomes insufficien t or the voltage temporarily drops, the electric power steering system warning lig ht may come on and the warning buzzer may sound.
■If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on while driving
The malfunction indicator lamp will come on if the fuel tank becomes completely empty. If the fuel tank is empty, refuel the vehicle immediately. The malfunction indicator lamp
will go off after several trips.
If the malfunction indicator lamp does not go off, contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and eq uipped professional as soon as possible.
■When the tire pressure warning light comes on
Inspect the tires to check if a tire is punctured.
If a tire is punctured: P. 679, 693
If none of the tires are punctured: Turn the engine switch off then turn it to IGNITION ON mode. Check if the tire pressurewarning light comes on or blinks.
If the tire pressure warning light comes on
After the temperature of the tires has lowere d sufficiently, check the inflation pressure of each tire and adjust them to the specified level.
If the warning light does not turn off even after several minutes have elapsed, check that the inflation pressure of each tire is at the specified level and perform initialization. ( P. 616)
If the warning light does not turn off severa l minutes after the initialization has been per- formed, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional immediately.
If the tire pressure warning light blinks for 1 minute then stays on
There may be a malfunction in the tire pressure warning system. Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional immediately.
■The tire pressure warning light may come on due to natural causes
The tire pressure warning light may come on due to natural causes such as natural air leaks or tire inflation pressure changes caused by temperature. In this case, adjusting the tire inflation pressure will turn off th e warning light (after a few minutes).

WARNING
■When using the compact spare tire (vehicles with a compact spare tire)
●Remember that the compact spare tire provided is specifically designed for use with your vehicle. Do not use your compact spare tire on another vehicle.
●Do not use more than one compact spare tire simultaneously.
●Replace the compact spare tire with a standard tire as soon as possible.
●Avoid sudden acceleration, abrupt steerin g, sudden braking and shifting operations
that cause sudden engine braking.
■When the compact spare tire is attached (vehicles with a compact spare tire)
The vehicle speed may not be correctly detected, and the following systems may not
operate correctly:

■Speed limit when using the compact spare tire (vehicles with a compact spare tire)
Do not drive at speeds in excess of 80 km /h (50 mph) when a compact spare tire is installed on the vehicle.
The compact spare tire is not designed for driving at high speeds. Failure to observe this precaution may lead to an accid ent causing death or serious injury.
■After using the tools and jack
Before driving, make sure all the tools and jack are securely in place in their storage location to reduce the possibility of personal injury during a collision or sudden brak- ing.
