Operation of each component

■Recall procedure
Carry the electronic key that has been registered to the driving position,
and then unlock and open the driver’s door using the smart entry & start
system or wireless remote control.
The driving position will move to the recorded position (not including the steering wheel).
If the driving position is in a position that has already been recorded, the seat and
outside rear view mirrors will not move.
Turn the power switch to ACCESSORY mode or ON mode.
The steering wheel will move to the recorded position.
■Cancelation procedure
Carry only the key you want to cancel and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be canceled
properly.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
While pressing the “SET” button, press and hold the door lock switch
(either lock or unlock) until the buzzer sounds twice.
If the button could not be canceled, the buzzer sounds continuously for approxi-
mately 3 seconds.
■Recalling the driving position us ing the memory recall function
●Different driving positions can be registered for each electronic key. Therefore, the driving position that is recalled may be different depending on the key being carried.
●If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart entry & start system, the
driving position cannot be reca lled. In this case, press the driving position button which has been set.
■Customization
The unlock door settings of the memory recall function can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 607)

■Seat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment so that the seat does not strike the rear passenger or
squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

■Adjusting the rear seat head restraint
Always raise the head restraint one leve l from the stowed position when using.
Make sure that the head restraints are adjusted
so that the center of the head restraint is closest to the top of your ears.

■Head restraint precautions
Observe the following precautions regarding th e head restraints. Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
●Use the head restraints designed for each respective seat.
●Adjust the head restraints to the correct position at all times.
●After adjusting the head restraints, push down on them and make sure they are
locked in position.
●Do not drive with the head restraints removed.

When the power switch is turned off,
the steering wheel returns to its stowed

Make sure that the steering wheel is securely locked. Otherwise, the steering wheel may move suddenly, possibly causing an accident, andresulting in death or serious injury. Also, th e horn may not sound if the steering wheel is
not securely locked.

■Mirror angle can be adjusted when
The power switch is in ACCESSORY or ON mode.
■When disconnecting and reconnecting 12-volt battery terminals (vehicles with an automatic folding/extending mirror function)
The automatic folding/extending mirror function will return to off as default. To turn the function on, press the switch again to select on.
■When the mirrors are fogged up
The outside rear view mirrors can be clea red using the mirror defoggers. Turn on the rear window defogger to turn on the outside rear view mirror defoggers. ( P. 438)
■Automatic adjustment of the mirror angle (if equipped)
A desired mirror face angle can be entered to memory and recalled automatically by the driving position memory. ( P. 183)
■Auto anti-glare function (if equipped)
When the anti-glare inside rear view mirror is set to automatic mode, the outside rear view mirrors will activate in co njunction with the anti-glare inside rear view mirror to reduce reflected light. ( P. 191)
■Using automatic mode in cold weather (if equipped)
When automatic mode is used in cold weat her, the door mirror could freeze up and automatic stowing and return may not be possible. In this case, remove any ice and snow
from the door mirror, then either operate the mirror using manual mode or move the mir- ror by hand.
■Customization
The automatic mirror folding and extending operation can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 607)

●Do not adjust the mirrors while driving.
●Do not drive with the mirrors folded.

■When a mirror is moving
To avoid personal injury and mirror malfunction, be careful not to get your hand caught by the moving mirror.
■When the mirror defoggers are operating
Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces, as they can become very hot and burn you.

■Door lock linked window operation
●The power windows can be opened and closed using the mechanical key.* ( P. 579)
●The power windows can be opened and closed using the wireless remote control.*(P. 144)
*: These settings must be customized at any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional.
■When the 12-volt battery is disconnected
The window lock switch is disabled. If nece ssary, press the window lock switch after reconnecting the 12-volt battery.
■Power windows open warning buzzer
The buzzer sounds and a message is shown on the multi-information display in the instru- ment cluster when the power switch is turned off and the driver’s door is opened with the power windows open.

WARNING

■Closing the windows
●The driver is responsible for all the power window operations, including the operation for the passengers. In order to prevent acci dental operation, especially by a child, do not let a child operate the power windows. It is possible for children and other passen-
gers to have body parts caught in the power window. Also, when riding with a child, it is recommended to use the window lock switch. ( P. 196)
●Check to make sure that all passengers do not have any part of their body in a posi-
tion where it could be caught wh en a window is being operated.
●When using the wireless remote control or mechanical key and operating the power windows, operate the power window after checking to make sure that there is no pos-
sibility of any passenger having any of thei r body parts caught in the window. Also do not let a child operate window by the wireless remote control or mechanical key. It ispossible for children and other passengers to get caught in the power window.
●When exiting the vehicle, turn the power switch off, carry the key and exit the vehiclealong with the child. There may be accidental operation, due to mischief, etc., thatmay possibly lead to an accident.
■Jam protection function
●Never use any part of your body to intent ionally activate the jam protection function.
●The jam protection function may not work if something gets jammed just before the
window is fully closed. Be careful not to ge t any part of your body jammed in the win- dow.
■Catch protection function
●Never use any part of your body or clothing to intentionally activate the catch protec-tion function.
●The catch protection function may not work if something gets caught just before the
window is fully opened. Be careful not to get any part of your body or clothing caught in the window.

■If the moon roof does not move normally
If the moon roof does not open or close no rmally or the automatic opening function does not operate, perform the follo wing initialization procedure.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Operate the moon roof.
Depending on the kind of malfunctio n perform either of the following:
If the moon roof does not open when the “OPEN” switch is pressed
Press and hold the “DOWN” switch or “C LOSE” switch until the moon roof is com- pletely closed.
The moon roof will open and close a few times before it closes completely.
Confirm that the moon roof has comple tely stopped and release the switch.
If the moon roof does not open completely automatically even though it tilts up and
opens while the “OPEN” switch is being pressed and held
Press and hold the “OPEN” switch un til the moon roof opens completely.
Press and hold the “CLOSE” switch un til the moon roof closes completely.
Press and hold the “UP” switch unt il the moon roof tilts up and stops.
Press and hold the “DOWN” switch until th e moon roof tilts down and stops at the completely closed position.
If you release the switch while the moon r oof is moving, perform the procedure again from the beginning.
If, after performing the above procedures co rrectly, the moon roof still does not open or
close normally or the automatic opening func tion does not operate, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped professional.
■Moon roof open warning buzzer
The buzzer sounds and a message is shown on the multi-information display in the instru-
ment cluster when the power switch is turned off and the driver’s door is opened with the moon roof open.
■Customization
Settings (e.g. linked door lock operation) can be changed. (Customizable features: P. 607)
