■Caution regarding interference with electronic devices
●People with implantable cardiac pacemakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy-
pacemakers or implantable cardioverter de fibrillators should maintain a reasonable
distance between themselves and the sm art entry & start system antennas. (P. 173)
The radio waves may affect the operation of such devices. If necessary, the entry
function can be disabled. Ask any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized
repairer, or any reliable repairer for details, such as the frequency of radio waves and
timing of the emitted radio waves. Then, consult your doctor to see if you should dis-
able the entry function.
●Users of any electrical medical device other than implantable cardiac pacemakers,
cardiac resynchronization therapy-pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defi-
brillators should consult the manufacturer of the device for information about its
operation under the influence of radio waves.

Cargo and luggage
Take notice of the following information about storage precautions, cargo
capacity and load:
WARNING
■Things that must not be carried in the trunk
The following things may cause a fire if loaded in the trunk:
●Receptacles containing gasoline
●Aerosol cans
■Storage precautions
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may prevent the pedals from being depressed properly, may block the
driver’s vision, or may result in items hitting the driver or passengers, possibly causing
an accident.
●Stow cargo and luggage in the trunk whenever possible.
●Do not place cargo or luggage in or on the following locations.

With the doors unlocked, press the
center of the rear edge of the fuel
filler door.
Push until you hear a click and take your
hand away to slightly open the fuel filler
door. Then open the door fully by hand.
Turn the fuel tank cap slowly to
remove it and put it into the holder
on the fuel filler door.
■When the fuel filler door cannot be opened by pressing the rearward of the fuel filler
door

Remove the cover inside the trunk and pull the lever.

●The glove box light turns on when the tail lights are on.
●The trunk opener main switch is located in the glove box. (P. 168)
●The insert inside the glove box can be removed.
●An SRS knee airbag for the front passenger’s seat is built into the glove box door.

Using with half-open
Grip the knob to release the lock,
and slide the armrest as far back.
Using with fully open
Grip the knob to release the lock,
and lift the armrest to open.

Trunk features
Raise the hooks when needed.The cargo hooks are provided for
securing loose items.
Pull the strap when using the hook.
Cargo hooks
WARNING
To avoid injury, always return the cargo hooks to their stowed positions when not in use.
Luggage hook
NOTICE
Do not hang any object heavier than 5 kg (11 lb.) on the luggage hook.

Long objects can be loaded into the vehi cle by utilizing the trunk space and rear
seat area.

armrest door.

Ensure that the armrest door is closed when not in use.
In the event of sudden braking, items stored in the trunk may be thrown forward into
the cabin, resulting in injury.

Trunk
Push the tab in and lift the lid off.
Remove the lid.
Remove the fuse with the pullout
tool.
Only type A fuse can be removed using
the pullout tool.

5147-2. Steps to take in an emergency

Insert the towing eyelet into the hole
and tighten partially by hand.
Tighten down the towing eyelet
securely using a wheel nut wrench
or hard metal bar.
Securely attach cables or chains to the towing eyelet.
Take care not to damage the vehicle body.
Enter the vehicle being towed and start the engine.
If the engine does not start, turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Shift the shift lever to N and release the parking brake.
When the shift lever cannot be shifted: P. 253
■While towing
If the engine is not running, the power assist for the brakes and steering will not function,
making steering and braking more difficult.
■Wheel nut wrench
Wheel nut wrench is installed in trunk. ( P. 558, 575)
