When trouble arises

Indicates that the LKA (Lane- Keeping Assist) system has
determined that the driver does not have their hands on
the steering wheel while the steering control function is on  Firmly hold the steering wheel.

Power was turned off due to the
automatic power off function.  Next time when starting the
engine, increase the engine
speed slightly and maintain that
level for approximately 5 min-
utes to recharge the battery.
OnceThe electronic key has a low battery. Replace the electronic key bat-
tery. ( P. 491)
Once
The driver’s door was opened and
closed with the engine switch turned
off and then the engine switch was
put in ACCESSORY mode twice
without the engine being started.  Press the engine switch while
depressing the brake pedal.
During an engine starting proce-
dure in the event that the electronic
key was not functioning properly ( P. 595), the engine switch was
touched with the electronic key.  Press the engine switch within
10 seconds of the buzzer sound-
ing.
Once
The steering lock could not be
released within 3 seconds of the
engine switch being pressed. Press the engine switch while
depressing the brake pedal and
moving the steering wheel left
and right.

WARNING
■When fixing the flat tire
●Stop your vehicle in a safe and flat area.
●Do not touch the wheels or the area around the brakes immediately after the vehicle
has been driven.
After the vehicle has been driven, the wheels and the area around the brakes may be
extremely hot. Touching these areas with hands, feet or other bo dy parts may result in
burns.
●Connect the valve and hose securely with the tire installed on the vehicle.
●If the hose is not properly connected to the valve, air leakage may occur or sealant
may be sprayed out.
●If the hose comes off the valve while inflating the tire, there is a risk that the hose will
move abruptly due to air pressure.
●After inflation of the tire has completed, the sealant may splatter when the hose is dis-
connected or some air is let out of the tire.
●Follow the operation procedure to repair the tire. If the procedures not followed, the
sealant may spray out.
●Keep back from the tire while it is being repaired, as there is a chance of it bursting
while the repair operation is being performe d. If you notice any cracks or deforma-
tion of the tire, turn off the compressor switch and stop the repair operation immedi-
ately.
●The repair kit may overheat if operated for a long period of ti me. Do not operate the
repair kit continuously for more than 35 minutes.
●Parts of the repair kit become hot during op eration. Be careful handling the repair kit
during and after operation. Do not touch the metal part connecting the bottle and the
compressor. It will be extremely hot.
●Do not attach the vehicle speed warning sticker to an area other than the one indi-
cated. If the sticker is attached to an area where an SRS airbag is located, such as the
pad of the steering wheel, it may prevent the SRS air bag from operating properly.
■Driving to spread the liquid sealant evenly
●Drive the vehicle carefully at a low speed. Be especially careful when turning and cor-
nering.
●If the vehicle does not drive straight or you feel a pull through the steering wheel, stop
the vehicle and check the following:

● The function to prevent the electronic ke y from being left inside the trunk will
operate and you can open the trunk as usual. Take the key out from the trunk. (  P. 168)
● Did you press the engine switch while firmly depressing the brake pedal?
(  P. 240)
● Is the shift lever in P? ( P. 242)
● Is the electronic key anywhere detectable inside the vehicle? ( P. 173)
● Is the steering wheel unlocked? ( P. 242)
● Is the electronic key battery weak or depleted?
In this case, the engine can be started in a temporary way. ( P. 595)
● Is the battery discharged? ( P. 597)
● Is the engine switch in IGNITION ON mode?
If you cannot release the shift lever by depressing the brake pedal with the
engine switch in IGNITION ON mode ( P. 253)
● It is locked automatically to prevent theft of the vehicle. ( P. 242)
