■If the PCS warning light flashes and a warnin
g message is displayed on the multi-infor-
mation display
The pre-collision system may be temporarily unavailable or there may be a malfunction
in the system.
●In the following situations, th e warning light will turn off, the message will disappear and
the system will become operational when normal operating conditions return:
• When the radar sensor or camera sensor or the area around either sensor is hot, such as in the sun
• When the radar sensor or camera sensor or the area around either sensor is cold,
such as in an extremely cold environment
• When the radar sensor or front grille emblem is dirty or covered with snow, etc.
• When the part of the windshield in front of the camera sensor is fogged up or cov-
ered with condensation or ice (Defogging the windshield: →P. 3 9 2 )
• If the camera sensor is obstructed, such as when the hood is open or a sticker is
attached to the windshield near the camera sensor
●If the PCS warning light continues to flash or the warning message does not disappear,
the system may be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer
immediately.
■If VSC is disabled
●If VSC is disabled ( →P. 278), the pre-collision brake as sist and pre-collision braking
functions are also disabled.
●The PCS warning light will turn on and “V SC Turned Off Pre-Collision Brake System
Unavailable” will be displayed on the multi-information display.

Dirt, rain, condensation, ice, snow, etc. are
present on the windshield in front of the cam-
era sensor.
→ Turn the LDA system off, remove any dirt,
rain, condensation, ice, snow, etc. from the
windshield, and then turn the LDA system
back on.
“Forward Camera
System
Unavailable”
The operation conditions of the camera sen-
sor (temperature, etc.) are not met.
→ When the operation conditions of the cam-
era sensor (temperature, etc.) are met, the
LDA system will become available. Turn
the LDA system off, wait for a little while,
and then turn the LDA system back on.
“Lane Departure Alert Unavailable”
The LDA system is temporarily canceled due
to a malfunction in a sensor other than the
camera sensor.
→Turn the LDA system off and follow the
appropriate troubleshooting procedures
for the warning messages. Afterward,
drive the vehicle for a short time, and then
turn the LDA system back on.

speed is less than approximately 32 mph (50

Lexus Display Audio system
It is prohibited to copy, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, hack, manipulate, or
otherwise make available any technology or software incorporated in receivers compat-
ible with the XM Satellite Radio System or that support the XM website, the Online Ser-
vice or any of its content. Furthermore, the AMBE
® voice compression software
included in this product is protected by intellectual property rights including patent
rights, copyrights, and trade secrets of Digital Voice Systems, Inc.
Note: this applies to XM receivers only and not XM Ready devices.
■If the satellite radio does not operate normally
If a problem occurs with the XM tuner, a message will appear on the screen. Refer to the
table below to identify the problem, and take the suggested corrective action.
Contact the XM Listener Care Center at 1-877-447-0011 (U.S.A.) or 1-877-438-9677
(Canada).
SAT Check Antenna
The XM antenna is not connected. Check whether the XM
antenna cable is attached securely.
There is a short-circuit in the antenna or the surrounding
antenna cable. See a Lexus certified dealer.
SAT Ch Unauthorized
You have not subscribed to XM Satellite Radio. The radio is
being updated with the latest encryption code. Contact XM
Satellite Radio for subscription information. When a con-
tract is canceled, you can choose “Ch000” and all free-to-
air channels.
The premium channel you selected is not authorized. Wait
for about 2 seconds until the radio returns to the previous
channel or “Ch001”. If it does not change automatically,
select another channel. To listen to the premium channel,
contact XM Satellite Radio.
SAT No SignalThe XM signal is too weak at the current location. Wait until
your vehicle reaches a location with a stronger signal.
SAT LoadingThe unit is acquiring audio or program information. Wait
until the unit has received the information.
SAT Channel Off AirThe channel you selected is not broadcasting any program-
ming. Select another channel.
-----There is no song/program title or artist name/feature asso-
ciated with the channel at that time. No action is required.
SAT Chan Unavailable
The channel you selected is no longer available. Wait for
about 2 seconds until the radio returns to the previous
channel or “Ch001”. If it does not change automatically,
select another channel.

■Replacing light bulbs
●Turn off the lights. Do not attempt to replace the bulb immediately after turning off the
lights.
The bulbs become very hot and may cause burns.
●Do not touch the glass portion of the light bulb with bare hands. When it is unavoid-
able to hold the glass portion, use and hold with a clean dry cloth to avoid getting
moisture and oils on the bulb.
Also, if the bulb is scratched or dropped, it may blow out or crack.
●Fully install light bulbs and any parts used to secure them. Failure to do so may result
in heat damage, fire, or water entering th
e headlight unit. This may damage the head-
lights or cause condensation to build up on the lens.
■To prevent damage or fire
●Make sure bulbs are fully seated and locked.
●Check the wattage of the bulb before installing to prevent heat damage.

Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)Indicates a malfunction in the EPS (Electric Power Steering) sys-
tem
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

PCS (Pre-Collision System) warning light
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer sounds):
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision System)
→Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer does not sound):
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Collision System) is temporarily
unavailable, possibly due to either of the following:
• An area around the radar sensor or camera sensor being dirty
or covered with condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
→ Clear the dirt, condensation, ice, stickers, etc. ( →P. 2 0 0 )
• Radar sensor or camera sensor operational conditions (such as temperature etc.) being not met
→ Driving is possible in this case. The PCS (Pre-Collision Sys-
tem) will be enabled if the operational conditions (such as
temperature etc.) are met again.
●When the warning light is illuminated:
Either the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or PCS (Pre-
Collision System) is disabled or both are disabled.
→ To enable the PCS (Pre-Collision System), enable both the
VSC system and PCS (Pre-Collision System). ( →P. 2 7 8 )
Slip indicator light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
•The TRAC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
The light will flash when the AB S, VSC or TRAC is operating.
Low fuel level warning light
Indicates that remaining fuel is approximately 2.6 gal. (9.7 L,
2.1 Imp.gal.) or less
→ Refuel the vehicle.
Seat belt reminder light (warning buzzer)*
Warns the driver and/or front passenger to fasten their seat belts
→ Fasten the seat belt.
If the front passenger’s seat is occupied, the front passenger’s
seat belt also needs to be fastened to make the warning light
(warning buzzer) turn off.
Master warning light
A buzzer sounds and the warning light comes on and flashes to
indicate that the master warning system has detected a malfunc-
tion.

When trouble arises
■If “Hybrid System Overheated” is shown on the multi-information display Stop the vehicle in a safe place.
Stop the hybrid system and carefully lift the hood.
After the hybrid system has cooled down, inspect the hoses and radiator
core (radiator) for any leaks.

If a large amount of coolant leaks,
immediately contact your Lexus
dealer.
The coolant level is satisfactory if it is between the “FULL” and “LOW” lines

Start the hybrid system and check for the multi-information display.
If the message does not disappear:
Stop the hybrid system and contact your Lexus dealer.
