Rear heating and air condi- tioning (if equipped) To turn on the rear climate control system
1. Press the rear blower ON/OFF
button located on the front and rear climate control panel (indica-tor light will illuminate).
Operating the fan speed switch will
also turn on the rear climate con-trol system.
2. Set the fan speed to the desired speed with the front or rear fan
speed switch.
3. The rear temperature and mode is controlled automatically by thefront climate control system.

Air conditioning system operation tips
If the vehicle has been parked indirect sunlight during hot weather,
open the windows for a short time
to let the hot air inside the vehicle
escape.
Use air conditioning to reduce humidity and moisture inside the
vehicle on rainy or humid days.
During air conditioning system operation, you may occasionallynotice a slight change in enginespeed as the air conditioning com-
pressor cycles. This is a normal
system operation characteristic.
Use the air conditioning system every month only for a few minutes
to ensure maximum system per-
formance. When using the air conditioning
system, you may notice clear water
dripping (or even puddling) on the
ground under the passenger side
of the vehicle. This is a normal sys-
tem operation characteristic.
Operating the air conditioning sys- tem in the recirculated air position
provides maximum cooling, how-
ever, continual operation in this
mode may cause the air inside the
vehicle to become stale.
During cooling operation, you may occasionally notice a misty air flow
because of rapid cooling and
humid air intake. This is a normal
system operation characteristic. Climate control air filter The climate control air filter installed
behind the glove box filters the dustor other pollutants that come into the
vehicle from the outside through theheating and air conditioning system.

To open the center console storage,
push the button (1) or pull up the
lever (2).Cool box (if equipped)
You can keep beverage cans or other
items warm or cool using the
open/close lever of the vent installed
in the center console box.
1. Turn on the fan and set the temper-
ature control to the desired position.
2. Set the mode control to the face ( ) or bi-level ( ) position.
3. Turn the open/close lever of the vent installed in the center console
box to the open position (2).
4. When the cool box is not used, turn the lever to its closed position (1).

Steering wheel audio controls (if equipped)
The steering wheel may incorporate
audio control buttons.VOLUME ( / ) (1)
• Press the lever upward ( ) toincrease the volume.
Press the lever downward ( ) to decrease the volume.
SEEK/PRESET ( / ) (2)
The SEEK/PRESET lever has differ- ent functions based on the system
mode. For the following functions the
lever should be pressed for 0.8 sec-
onds or more.
RADIO mode
It will function as the AUTO SEEK
select button. It will SEEK until you
release the button.
MEDIA mode
It will function as the FF/REW button.
If the SEEK/PRESET button is
pressed for less than 0.8 seconds, it
will work as follows in each mode. RADIO mode
It will function as the PRESET STA-
TION buttons.
MEDIA mode
It will function as TRACK UP/DOWN
button.
