Lane Change Assist
Tap the lever up or down once, without mov-
ing beyond the detent, and the turn signal
(right or left) will flash three times then
automatically turn off.
INTERIOR LIGHTS

Courtesy and dome lights are turned on when
the front doors are opened or when the dim-
mer control (rotating wheel on the right side
of the headlight switch) is rotated to its
farthest upward position. If your vehicle is
equipped with Remote Keyless Entry and the
UNLOCK button is pushed on the key fob, the
courtesy and dome lights will turn on. When a
door is open and the interior lights are on,
rotating the dimmer control all the way down,
to the OFF detent, will cause all the interior
lights to go out. This is also known as the
“Party” mode because it allows the doors to
stay open for extended periods of time with-
out discharging the vehicle’s battery.The brightness of the instrument panel light-
ing can be regulated by rotating the dimmer
control up (brighter) or down (dimmer). When
the headlights are on you can supplement the
brightness of the instrument cluster display,
radio and overhead console by rotating the
control to its farthest position up until you
hear a click. This feature is termed the “Pa-
rade” mode and is useful when headlights
are required during the day.
WIPER/WASHER
The multifunction lever is located on the left
side of the steering column.
Front Wipers
The windshield wiper/washer controls are lo-
cated on the multifunction lever on the left
side of the steering column. The front wipers
are operated by rotating a switch, located on
the end of the lever. For information on the
rear wiper/washer, refer to “Rear Wiper” in
this section.
Wiper Operation
Rotate the end of the lever to one of the first
four detent positions for intermittent set-
tings, the fifth detent for low wiper operation
and the sixth detent for high wiper operation.

CAUTION!
Always remove any buildup of snow that
prevents the windshield wiper blades from
returning to the PARK position. If the
windshield wiper switch is turned off, and
the blades cannot return to the PARK
position, damage to the wiper motor may
occur.
Rain Sensor
This feature senses moisture on the wind-
shield and automatically activates the wipers
for the driver. The feature is especially useful
for road splash or overspray from the wind-
shield washers of the vehicle ahead. Rotate
the end of the multifunction lever to one of
four settings to activate this feature.
Automatic Wiping
The sensitivity of the system can be adjusted
with the multifunction lever. Wiper delay po-
sition one is the least sensitive, and wiper
delay position four is the most sensitive.
Setting three should be used for normal rain
conditions. Settings one and two can be used
if the driver desires less wiper sensitivity.Setting four can be used if the driver desires
more sensitivity. Place the wiper switch in the
OFF position when not using the system.
NOTE:
• The Rain Sensing feature will not operate
when the wiper switch is in the low or
high-speed position.
• The Rain Sensing feature may not function properly when ice, or dried salt water is
present on the windshield.
• Use of Rain-X or products containing wax or silicone may reduce Rain Sensing per-
formance.
• The Rain Sensing feature can be turned on and off using the Uconnect System, refer
to “Uconnect Settings” in “Multimedia”
in the Owners Manual at

further information.
The Rain Sensing system has protection fea-
tures for the wiper blades and arms, and will
not operate under the following conditions: •
Low Ambient Temperature — When the ig-
nition is first turned ON, the Rain Sensing
system will not operate until the wiper
switch is moved, vehicle speed is greater
than 0 mph (0 km/h), or the outside tem-
perature is greater than 32°F (0°C).
• Transmission In NEUTRAL Position — When
the ignition is ON, and the automatic
transmission is in the NEUTRAL position,
the Rain Sensing system will not operate
until the wiper switch is moved, vehicle
speed is greater than 3 mph (5 km/h), or
the gear selector is moved out of the NEU-
TRAL position.
Remote Start Mode Inhibit — On vehicles
equipped with Remote Starting system, Rain
Sensing wipers are not operational when the
vehicle is in the remote start mode. Once the
operator is in the vehicle and has placed the
ignition switch in the RUN position, rain
sensing wiper operation can resume, if it has
been selected, and no other inhibit condi-
tions (mentioned previously) exist.

Rear Wiper
The rear wiper/washer controls are located on
the multifunction lever on the left side of the
steering column. The rear wiper/washer is
operated by rotating a switch, located at the
middle of the lever.
Wiper Operation
Rotate the center portion of the lever upward
to the first detent for intermittent operation
and to the second detent for continuous rear
wiper operation.
Rotating the center portion upward once
more will activate the washer pump which
will continue to operate as long as the switch
is held. Upon release of the switch, the wip-
ers will resume the continuous rear wiper
operation. When this rotary control is in the
OFF position, rotating it downward will acti-
vate the rear washer pump which will con-
tinue to operate as long as the switch is held.
Once the switch is released it will return to
the OFF position and the wipers will cycle
several times before returning to the parked
position.NOTE:
As a protective measure, the pump will stop if
the switch is held for more than 20 seconds.
Once the switch is released the pump will
resume normal operation.
If the rear wiper is operating when the igni-
tion is turned OFF, the wiper will automati-
cally return to the “park” position.HEADLIGHT WASHERS — IF
EQUIPPED
The multifunction lever operates the head-
light washers when the ignition switch is in
the ON position and the headlights are
turned on. The multifunction lever is located
on the left side of the steering column.
To use the headlight washers, push the mul-
tifunction lever inward (toward the steering
column) and release it. The headlight wash-
ers will spray a timed high-pressure spray of
washer fluid onto each headlight lens. In
addition, the windshield washers will spray
the windshield and the windshield wipers will
cycle.
NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch and head-
lights ON, the headlight washers will operate
on the first spray of the windshield washer
and then every eleventh spray after that.

occurring during severe or evasive driving
maneuvers; it cannot prevent wheel lift due to
other factors, such as road conditions, leav-
ing the roadway, or striking objects or other
vehicles.
NOTE:
ERM is disabled anytime the ESC is in “Full
Off” mode (if equipped). Refer to “Electronic
Stability Control (ESC)” in this section for a
complete explanation of the available ESC
modes.
WARNING!
Many factors, such as vehicle loading,
road conditions and driving conditions,
influence the chance that wheel lift or
rollover may occur. ERM cannot prevent all
wheel lift or roll overs, especially those
that involve leaving the roadway or striking
objects or other vehicles. The capabilities
of an ERM-equipped vehicle must never
be exploited in a reckless or dangerous
manner which could jeopardize the user's
safety or the safety of others.
Trailer Sway Control (TSC)
TSC uses sensors in the vehicle to recognize
an excessively swaying trailer and will take
the appropriate actions to attempt to stop the
sway. TSC will become active automatically
once an excessively swaying trailer is recog-
nized. Note that TSC cannot stop all trailers
from swaying. Always use caution when tow-
ing a trailer and follow the trailer tongue
weight recommendations. Refer to “Trailer
Towing” in “Starting And Operating” for fur-
ther information. When TSC is functioning,
the “ESC Activation/Malfunction Indicator
Light” will flash, the engine power may be
reduced and you may feel the brakes being
applied to individual wheels to attempt to
stop the trailer from swaying. TSC is disabled
when the ESC system is in the “Partial Off” or
“Full Off” modes.
WARNING!
If TSC activates while driving, slow the
vehicle down, stop at the nearest safe
location, and adjust the trailer load to
eliminate trailer sway.
Ready Alert Braking (RAB)
Ready Alert Braking may reduce the time
required to reach full braking during emer-
gency braking situations. It anticipates when
an emergency braking situation may occur by
monitoring how fast the throttle is released by
the driver. The EBC will prepare the brake
system for a panic stop.
Rain Brake Support (RBS)
Rain Brake Support may improve braking
performance in wet conditions. It will periodi-
cally apply a small amount of brake pressure
to remove any water buildup on the front
brake rotors. It functions when the wind-
shield wipers are in LO or HI speed. When
Rain Brake Support is active, there is no
notification to the driver and no driver inter-
action is required.
Dynamic Steering Torque (DST)
Dynamic Steering Torque is a feature of the
ESC and EPS modules that provides torque at
the steering wheel for certain driving condi-
tions in which the ESC module is detecting
vehicle instability. The torque that the steer-
ing wheel receives is only meant to help the

NOTE:
SRT vehicles and 4WD models without 4WD
LOW range should only be towed with all four
wheelsOFFthe ground.
Proper towing or lifting equipment is required
to prevent damage to your vehicle. Use only
tow bars and other equipment designed for
this purpose, following equipment manufac-
turer’s instructions. Use of safety chains is
mandatory. Attach a tow bar or other towing
device to main structural members of the
vehicle, not to bumpers or associated brack-
ets. State and local laws regarding vehicles
under tow must be observed.
If you must use the accessories (wipers, de-
frosters, etc.) while being towed, the ignition
must be in the ON/RUN mode, not the ACC
mode.
If the key fob is unavailable, or the vehicle's
battery is discharged, refer to “Manual Park
Release” in this section for instructions on
shifting the transmission out of PARK for
towing.CAUTION!
• Do not use sling type equipment when towing. Vehicle damage may occur.
• When securing the vehicle to a flat bed
truck, do not attach to front or rear
suspension components. Damage to
your vehicle may result from improper
towing.
Two-Wheel Drive Models
The manufacturer recommends towing your
vehicle with all four wheels OFFthe ground
using a flatbed.
If flatbed equipment is not available, and the
transmission is operable, the vehicle may be
towed (with rear wheels on the ground) under
the following conditions:
• The transmission must be in NEUTRAL. Refer to "Manual Park Release" in this
section for instructions on shifting the
transmission to NEUTRAL when the en-
gine is off.
• The towing speed must not exceed 30 mph (48 km/h). • The towing distance must not exceed
30 miles (48 km).
If the transmission is not operable, or the
vehicle must be towed faster than 30 mph
(48 km/h) or farther than 30 miles (48 km),
tow with the rear wheels OFFthe ground.
Acceptable methods are to tow the vehicle on
a flatbed, or with the front wheels raised and
the rear wheels on a towing dolly, or (when
using a suitable steering wheel stabilizer to
hold the front wheels in the straight position)
with the rear wheels raised and the front
wheels on the ground.
CAUTION!
Towing faster than 30 mph (48 km/h) or
farther than 30 miles (48 km) with rear
wheels on the ground can cause severe
transmission damage. Damage from im-
proper towing is not covered under the
New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

6. Remove the A/C air filter by pulling itstraight out of the housing.
7. Install the A/C air filter with the arrow on the filter pointing toward the floor. When
installing the filter cover, make sure the
retaining tabs fully engage the cover.
CAUTION!
The cabin air filter is identified with an
arrow to indicate airflow direction through
the filter. Failure to properly install the
filter will result in the need to replace it
more often.
8. Reinstall the glove compartment door on the glove compartment door hinge and
reattach the glove compartment tension
tether by inserting the tether clip in the
glove compartment and sliding the clip
away from the face of the glove compart-
ment door.
9. Push the door to the near closed position to reengage the glove compartment travel
stops.
NOTE:
Ensure the glove compartment door
hinges and glove compartment travel
stops are fully engaged.
Windshield Wiper Blades
Clean the rubber edges of the wiper blades
and the windshield periodically with a sponge
or soft cloth and a mild nonabrasive cleaner.
This will remove accumulations of salt or road
film.
Operation of the wipers on dry glass for long
periods may cause deterioration of the wiper
blades. Always use washer fluid when using
the wipers to remove salt or dirt from a dry
windshield.
Avoid using the wiper blades to remove frost
or ice from the windshield. Keep the blade
rubber out of contact with petroleum prod-
ucts such as engine oil, gasoline, etc.
NOTE:
Life expectancy of wiper blades varies de-
pending on geographical area and frequency
of use. Poor performance of blades may be
present with chattering, marks, water lines or
wet spots. If any of these conditions are
present, clean the wiper blades or replace as
necessary.
