High Beam Indicator
Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the headlights are on and in the high beam position
When the turn signal lever is pulled into the Flash-to-Pass position.
Smart High Beam indi-
cator (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates :
When the high-Beam is on with the light switch in the AUTO light posi-
tion.
If your vehicle detects oncoming or preceding vehicles, the Smart High
Beam system will switch the high
beam to low beam automatically.
For more details, refer to "Smart
High Beam" in this chapter.
Light ON Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the tail lights or headlights are on.
Front Fog Indicator
Light (if equipped)
This indicator light illuminates:
When the front fog lights are on.
AUTO HOLD IndicatorLight (if equipped)
This indicator light illuminates:
[White] When you activate the auto hold system by pressing the AUTO
HOLD button.
[Green] When you stop the vehicle completely by depressing the
brake pedal with the auto hold sys-
tem activated.
[Yellow] When there is a malfunc- tion with the auto hold system.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

AUTO light position (if equipped)
When the light switch is in the AUTO
light position, the taillights and head-
lights will be turned ON or OFF auto-
matically depending on the amount
of light outside the vehicle.
Even with the AUTO light feature in
operation, it is recommended to
manually turn ON the lamps when
driving at night or in a fog, or when
you enter dark areas, such as tun-
nels and parking facilities.
Parking light position ( )
When the light switch is in the park-
ing light position, the tail, position,
license plate lights and the tail light
indicator will turn on.

CAUTION
• Never place anything oversensor (1) located on theinstrument panel. This willensure better AUTO light sys-tem control.
Don’t clean the sensor using a window cleaner. The cleanermay leave a light film whichcould interfere with sensoroperation.
If your vehicle has window tint or other types of metallic coat-ing on the front windshield,the AUTO light system maynot work properly.

One Touch Turn Signal
To activate the one-touch lane
change function, move the turn sig-
nal lever slightly and then release it.
The lane change signals will blink 3
(5 or 7, if equipped) times.
You can activate/deactivate the One
Touch Turn Signal function or choose
the number of blinking (3, 5, or 7)
from the User Settings Mode on the
LCD display (if equipped).

NOTICE
If an indicator flash is abnormally
quick or slow, a bulb may be burned
out or have a poor electrical connec-
tion in the circuit.
Front fog light (if equipped)
Fog lights are used to provide illumi-
nation close to the road surface
when visibility is poor due to fog, rain
or snow, etc.
1. Turn on the park light.
2. Turn the light switch (1) to the front
fog light position.
3. To turn off the front fog light, turn the light switch to the front fog light
position again or turn off the park
light.

When in operation, the foglights consume large amountsof vehicle electrical power. Onlyuse the fog lights when visibilityis poor or unnecessary batteryand generator drain couldoccur.

Warning indicator
If the LDWS FAIL warning indicator
(yellow) comes on, the LDWS is not
working properly. If this occurs, have
the system checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
The LDWS does not operate
when:
The driver uses the turn signal to
change lane.
When the hazard warning lights
are enabled, the LDWS operates
normally.
Operating the wiper switch with HI mode due to heavy rain.
Driving on the lane line.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
To change lane, operate the turn sig-
nal switch then change the lane.
The LDWS may not warn you
even if the vehicle leaves the
lane, or may warn you even if
the vehicle does not leave the
lane when;
The lane is not visible to the sys-
tem due to snow, rain, stain, a pud-
dle or other environmental factors.
The brightness of the outside envi- ronment changes suddenly such
as entering or exiting a tunnel.
Not turning on the headlights even at night or in at tunnel, or ambient
light is weak.
The system cannot distinguish the color of the lane from the road.
Driving on a steep grade or a curve.
A street light, sunlight or oncoming vehicle light reflects water on the
road.
The lens or windshield is stained with foreign matter.
The sensor cannot detect the lane because of fog, heavy rain or
heavy snow.
