handling, stability, sto pping distance, and tires, and make it unsafe.

Handling the Unexpected
Located on the left side of cargo area.
Remove the cover by prying on the edge of
the cover using a flat-tip screwdriver.
u Wrap the flat-tip screwdriver with a
cloth to prevent scratches.
Fuse locations are shown on the fuse box
cover.
Locate the fuse in question by the fuse
number and box cover number.

Handling the Unexpected
When You Cannot Open or Close the Tailgate
If you cannot open or close the tailgate or power tailgate, use the following
procedure. 1.Use a flat-tip screwdriver and remove the
cover on the back of the tailgate.
u Wrap the flat-tip screwdriver with a cloth
to prevent scratches.
2. To open the tailgate, push the tailgate
while pushing the lever to the right.
2. To open the tailgate, push the tailgate
while pushing down the lever with the flat-
tip screwdriver.1 When You Cannot Open or Close the Tailgate
Following up:
After taking these steps, cont act a dealer to have the
vehicle checked.
When you open the tailgate from inside, make sure
there is enough space around the tailgate, and it
does not hit anyone or any object.
