Deactivation
When the ignition is on, this warning lamp   comes   on   in   the   instrument

anel   while   the   airbag   is   deactivated.To
  assure   your   child's   safety,   you  
m

ust   deactivate   the   passenger's   front  
a

irbag   when   you   install   a   rear ward  
f

acing   child   seat   on   the   front   passenger  
s

eat.   Other wise,   the   child   risks   being  
s

eriously   injured   or   killed   if   the   airbag   is  
d

eployed.
Reactivation
Only the passenger's front airbag can be d
eactivated.

ith the ignition off ,
  insert   the   key   into  
t

he   passenger   airbag   deactivation   switch.

urn it to the "OFF" position,
F
 
R
emove   the   key   keeping   the   switch   in   the  
n

ew   position. When
  you   remove   the   rear ward   facing   child  
sea

t, with the ignition on, turn the switch to
the "ON"
 

position   to   reactivate   the   airbag   and  
s

o   assure   the   safety   of   your   front   passenger   in  
t

he   event   of   an   impact.
Operating fault
If this warning lamp comes on in the instrument   panel,   you   must   contact  
a

  CITROËN   dealer   or   a   qualified  
w

orkshop   without   delay   to   have   the  
s

ystem   checked.   The   airbags   may   no  
l

onger   be   deployed   in   the   event   of   a  
s

erious
 im
pact.

The incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle   compromises   the   child's   protection   in  
t

he   event   of   an   accident.
Ensure
  that   there   is   no   seat   belt   or   seat   belt  
b

uckle   under   the   child   seat,   as   this   could  
de

stabilise
 i
t.
Remember
  to   fasten   the   seat   belts   or   the  
c

hild   seat   harnesses   keeping   the   slack  
r

elative   to   the   child's   body   to   a   minimum,  
e

ven   for   short   journeys.
When
  installing   a   child   seat   using   the   seat  
b

elt,   ensure   that   the   seat   belt   is   tightened  
c

orrectly   on   the   child   seat   and   that   it   secures  
t

he   child   seat   firmly   on   the   seat   of   your  
v

ehicle.   If   your   passenger   seat   is   adjustable,  
m

ove   it   for wards   if   necessary.
At
  rear   seating   positions,   always   leave  
s

ufficient   space   between   the   front   seat   and:

  rear ward   facing   child   seat,

he   child's   feet   for   a   child   seat   fitted

rward

acing.
To
  do   this,   move   the   front   seat   for wards

nd,   if   necessary,   move   its   backrest   into   the

osition.

As a safety precaution, do not leave:

nsupervised   in   a   vehicle,

  child   or   an   animal   in   a   vehicle   which
