*1: These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position
(vehicles without a smart entry & start system) or IGNITION ON mode
(vehicles with a smart entry & start system) to indicate that a system check
is being performed. They will turn off after the engine is started, or after a
few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if a light does not
come on, or if the lights do not turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by any
authorized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.

Vehicles with color display
The units used on the speedometer may differ depending on the tar-
get region.
Tachometer
Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute.
Multi-information display
Presents the driver with a variety of driving-related data. ( P. 124, 128)
Displays warning messages in case of a malfunction. ( P. 704)
Speedometer
Displays the vehicle speed.
Fuel gauge
Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank.
Outside temperature display
Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40°C (-40°F) to 50°C
(122°F). Low outside temperature indicator comes on when the ambient
temperature is 3°C (37°F) or lower.

●Average fuel consumption and current fuel consumption
Displays the average fuel consumption since the function was last
reset.
• The function can be reset by pressing the “DISP” switch for lon-
ger than 1 second when the average fuel consumption is dis-
played.
• Use the displayed average fuel consumption as a reference.
Displays the current rate of fuel consumption.
Use the displayed current rate of fuel consumption as a reference.
● Driving range
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with
the quantity of fuel remaining.
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consump-
tion. As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ
from that displayed.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the dis-
play may not be updated.
When refueling, turn the engine switch to the “LOCK” position.
If the vehicle is refueled without turning the engine switch to the “LOCK”
position, the display may not be updated.
● Average vehicle speed
Displays the average vehicle speed since the engine was last
started.
● Elapsed time
Displays the elapsed time since the engine was started.

■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset:

■ Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is
characteristic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem to continue
using the display.
■ Setting display automatic suspension
In the following situations, the setting display will be suspended.
● When a message appears
● When the vehicle begins to move

a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may
not be updated.

out turning the engine switch off, the display may not be updated.
● Stop & Start system operation time (if equipped)*3
Displays the total amount of time that the engine has been stopped due to
operation of the Stop & Start system during the time of the current engine
stop.
