Remove loose dirt using a vacuum cleaner. ●
Apply a mild soap solution to the synthe tic leather using a sponge or soft cloth.●
Allow the solution to soak in for a few minutes. Remove the dirt and wipe off
the solution with a clean, damp cloth. ■
Caring for leather areas
Lexus recommends cleaning the interior of th e vehicle at least twice a year to maintain
the quality of the vehicle’s interior. ■
Shampooing the carpets
There are several commercial foaming-type cleaners available. Use a sponge or brush to
apply the foam. Rub in overlapping circles. Do not use water. Wipe dirty surfaces and let
them dry. Excellent results are obtained by keeping the carpet as dry as possible. ■
Seat belts
Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water using a cloth or sponge. Also check the belts
periodically for excessive wear, fraying or cuts.Cleaning the synthetic leather areas

Do not splash or spill liquid in the vehicle.
Doing so may cause electrical components, etc. to malfunction or catch fire. ●
Do not get any of the SRS components or wiring in the vehicle interior wet.

An electrical malfunction may cause the airb ags to deploy or not function properly,
resulting in death or serious injury. ●
Vehicles with wireless charger:
Do not let the wireless charger ( P. 525) get wet. Failure to do so may cause the
charger to become hot and cause burns or could cause electric shock resulting in
death or serious injury. ■
Cleaning the interior (especially instrument panel)
Do not use polish wax or polish cleaner. The instrument panel may reflect off the wind-
shield, obstructing the driver’s view and leading to an accident, resulting in death or
serious injury.

If the lights do not turn on even after the fuse has been replaced, a bulb may need

If the replaced fuse blows again, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer. ■
If there is an overload in a circuit
The fuses are designed to blow, protec ting the wiring harness from damage.■
When replacing light bulbs
Lexus recommends that you use genuine Lexu s products designed for this vehicle.
Because certain bulbs are connected to circui ts designed to prevent overload, nongenu-
ine parts or parts not designed for this vehicle may be unusable. 3

To prevent system breakdowns and vehicle fire
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle, and possibly a fire or injury.●
Never use a fuse of a higher amperage rati ng than that indicated, or use any other
object in place of a fuse. ●
Always use a genuine Lexus fuse or equivalent.
Never replace a fuse with a wire, even as a temporary fix. ●
Do not modify the fuses or fuse boxes.

When trouble arises
RX350_U_OM48E90U * : Driver's and front passenger' s seat belt warning buzzer:
The driver’s seat belt warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver that his or her seat belt
is not fastened. Once the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode, the
buzzer sounds for 6 seconds. If the vehicl e reaches a speed of 12 mph (20 km/h), the
buzzer sounds once. If the seat belt is still unfastened afte r 24 seconds, the buzzer will
sound intermittently for 10 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the buzzer
will sound in a different tone for 20 more seconds.
The front passenger’s seat belt warning buzzer sounds to alert the front passenger
that his or her seat belt is not fastened. The buzzer sounds once if the vehicle reaches
a speed of 12 mph (20 km/h). If the seat belt is still unfastened after 24 seconds, the
buzzer will sound intermittently for 10 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened,
the buzzer will sound in a different tone for 20 more seconds. ■
SRS warning light
This warning light system monitors the airbag sensor assembly, front impact sensors, side
impact sensors (front door), side impact se nsors (rear), driver’s seat position sensor,
driver’s seat belt buckle swit ch, front passenger occupant classification system (ECU and
sensors), “AIR BAG ON” indicator light, “A IR BAG OFF” indicator light, front passen-
ger’s seat belt buckle switch, driver’s seat belt pretensioner, front passenger’s seat belt
pretensioner and force limiter, airbags, in terconnecting wiring and power sources.

Front passenger detection sensor, seat belt reminder and warning buzzer●
If luggage is placed on the front passenger seat, the front passenger detection sensor
may cause the warning light to flash and the warning buzzer to sound even if a passen-
ger is not sittin g in the seat.●
If a cushion is placed on th e seat, the sensor may not detect a passenger, and the warn-
ing light may not operate properly. ■
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)
When the battery charge becomes insufficie nt of the voltage te mporarily drops, the
electric power steering system warning light may come on and the warning buzzer may
sound. ■
If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on while driving
First check the following: ●
Is the fuel tank empty?
If it is, fill the fuel tank immediately. ●
Is the fuel tank cap loose?
If it is, tighten it securely.
The light will go off after several driving trips.
If the light does not go off even after severa l trips, contact your Lexus dealer as soon as
possible.
